- I finally did it. I sent my Traveler's Company Brown Travelers Notebook to Baum Kuchen and had them upgrade it with their Truly Yours service and it is TRULY MINE now!!! I bought this TN 2nd hand and loved the feel of it so much, decided it was the one to get the upgrade. This video shows me opening it up and seeing it first hand.

LOL! So funny that I'm so often on exactly the same wavelength as you and John Rush...except for Traveler's Co. Notebooks. I have such a visceral dislike for Traveler's Co notebooks that I can't even describe it. I don't grok them AT ALL. Several years ago I had a very desirable Pan Am TN which I unwrapped and immediately put up for sale at a loss. I couldn't get it out of my house fast enough. I watch your and John's vids of Traveler's Co TNs out of loyalty to you and him but nothing on earth could make me bring one into my house. But that's what makes the world go around. We are valuable in our diversity.

It truly is a very deep dive kind of thing. Something that is extremely hard to put into words...but something that people can understand...if they have the same kind of passion...

Every time I see someone share their Truly Yours customization, I feel a little tug on my heart strings (growing stronger, mind you) to give my Travelers Company another try. The standard size has always been a challenge, especially after a sports injury developed into an iliofemoral DVT, which has limited my ability to travel considerably. That said, I have travel plans next year, and bringing my original TN is a practical way to go. Maybe customization would be an opportunity to transform my feelings about my limitations and the silly reservations I have about standard size?

I can absolutely understand your reservations and your difficulty with limitations, I am dealing with that myself with my neck injury and limiting my athletic endeavors due to chronic pain but, we adapt and part of what I talk about when I say that I am transforming into something new, like the TN is transformed into something new, is that I am learning to work in conjunction with my body and figuring out what I CAN do as opposed to what I can't. Honestly, seeing the way the TN turned out helped me realize that I can do a lot, and become something else completely! So definitely give their service a try!!!

Omg! It’s gorgeous! I’ve ordered 2 covers from BK and a handbag. Wonderful products and I’m also a total geek for rivets. Never enough rivets. I finally bought my own rivet kit so I can add rivets to anything, lol. But, I really liked how you designed the cover of your TN with the wabi sabi stamp on the pocket. Nice touch! And finally, I have that same breathless excitement when I get a new planner or cover. It’s so, so .... what’s the word???? Special? I don’t think there’s anything else that gets to me like this, you?

New subscriber here! Loving your channel. GAH!! It's so awesome! I'm planning to send mine in. I'm so glad the turn around time is so much quicker now. My reservation about sending it when they first offered the service was being without my favorite TN for so long. I'm planning to get the wallet pocket on the inside front cover in Nude leather (with riviets!) and maybe the same leather pocket you have inside the back cover. They are my favorite shop to order from. They take so much care with their packages and customer service. Thought I'd let you know....It's pronounced "BAUM-kuhen. Just pretend the "c" isn't there. :-)

It looks like all theirs are sold out right now. You might email their customer service to see when they will restock. You can also search The Superior Labor on Ebay. I've gotten all my TSL bags from there.
Do you know if you can have these things done to one of their notebook covers?! I had no idea they did this!
