THX for the video ... thumbs up. I always take a lot of small ideas and detail-attention for my own shootings out of your work ... so I appreciate your content. Keep on going. 👌
I'm always a fan of how you pose the models on your shoots! The leather jacket was such a good call too. With the light being soft, it creates natural contrast that goes really well with her natural skin tones and blond hair
Very nice work. I wasn’t certain what you meant about using the back half of the modifier. Did you mean you were feathering the light so as to half fall on the model? Lovely model as well.
Great final results. For some reason I think it would be beneficial for some more breathing room around the model especially without that leather jacket. The one at 3:10 is my absolute favorite. I am aa strong believer in 135mm for portraits but I am now moving to some other extreme of 24-28mm range.
Everyone once in a while it's nice to change things up. Also, shooting a different angle and didn't like the way it looked converted to B&W. Need to play with the lighting more to get it right.
Another great one. Have a problem you might know answer. Using C-stand and 48” deep octave. I would like to put stand to the side of set and boom it out and above model. All that weight makes 40” arm spin so I can’t keep my angle. Any ideas? Was wondering if a boom arm is fixed in position and won’t spin in clamp….. thanks.
Skip to the C-Stand section in this video. If you set the boom arm properly, it won't ever come loose: ua-cam.com/video/SlEI43_rA1g/v-deo.html Hope that helps!
I'm always excited about new videos you upload! Also have a little idea about a video you could make, It would be amazing if you could tell us a story about your progress and growth as a photographer over the years. I was always curious if your work was so good from the beginning or did it take years master :)
Thanks Piotr! I did actually do a video like that a while ago which you can see here: ua-cam.com/video/WiTwH-PKR-k/v-deo.html Might be time for an update though :)
Thanks for the video - it's very helpful for many. I wanted to know, after the latest updates to Photoshop and Lightroom, what connection with Captura Pro do you use to finalize the photo? Capture and Lightroom or Capture and Photoshop? Maybe it's time to make a video on this topic ??
@@airtvua No that's not what I am saying, they are differnt programs that do different things. Lr and C1 are for capture, sorting / tagging, color grading, exporting, etc while PS is more for retouching, also color grading, and manipulation of images (composites and the like).
Great presentation, as always! I had a question, maybe you’ve answered it elsewhere already, sorry to be repetitive if so. How do you decide from which side to light your models, especially using just the one light? Personal preference maybe?
Bruhhh! You are a master of the 1 light portrait
Much attention to detail with specific references to specs adds value to this polished production.
thank ya

So the 85mm 1.8 Lens is attached? I would've never guessed that! I'm amazed that the lens is attached.
concise 4mins that is very informative.

Ya, like most things I feel like it falls on personal preferance. I often like to close crop when I am shooting like this, just where my brain goes :)
As always great tutorial. But I have one question. Why the video isn't black and white as usual?
Everyone once in a while it's nice to change things up. Also, shooting a different angle and didn't like the way it looked converted to B&W. Need to play with the lighting more to get it right.
Big like

Wow these are gorgeous.
The backdrop behind her, is that 9’ wide or you have it set to 9’ tall?
Both the white backdrop and painted backdrop are 9' wide.
Happy New year would love a review on this modifier and a link to purchase
Sounds good! Link to purchase is in the description of this video.

I use C1 for all of my color grading and capture, and PS for any final retouching for skin.
@@NathanElson Thanks for the answer! As I understand it, there is no point in using LR at all if there is Photoshop?

I sometimes base it off the way their hair parts, other times it's just a 50/50 chance that I light it from either side.
@@NathanElson Never thought about the hair part! Thank you
who that model? did she have account ?
😎
👊🏻
Light set to F stop.. How do I know what Stop the light is on?

Are u fan of metallica?
I'm a fan of Metallica up till the Black album, not a fan of much after that.
