Looks like the battle scars are minor enough to leave as evidence that she isn’t just a mall queen 😂😅. I had noticed that you got some good out of the limb risers in the original video it’s always surprising how well they work. Good luck with replacing the glass but it might just be as well to let those repairs get done by the dealer or glass specialists. Thanks for posting this and showing how tough the new Defenders are. 👍😎
This truck really turned out great. What a difference from what you started with.
Steve. I'm amazed the side window stayed in place. Looks like you really enjoyed your journey .
Good to see "Made in England" still holds some value .
Made in Slovakia
Wrong, Slovakia.
Well she came back all intact! I am glad the side glass held up but its just a shame the windscreen got cracked. As you say it is common to happen and the dealer may as well replace the two at the same time, I wouldn't recommend doing that job yourself as it requires bonding as I am sure you know. I think the black tool box looks good on the side I have seen one recently that is very similar and it blends in well. The table seemed to be the only thing that failed ( in that it fell apart) so worth noting for anyone who buys one. I am glad you enjoyed your trip Steve and thanks for the 'post trip' update.
Thanks for the review. As hard as it is…we lay out all the stuff we need for an overland trip then put half of it back.
Great video thanks I’m on my second new Defender now they are brilliant I’ve done a couple of videos have a look cheers again from 🇬🇧
Hope you get a solid piece put in for the broken window. The Defender did well on its first long range adventure. The black Roto Pak looks factory on the side of the Defender.
great stuff thanks
The black rotopax mounted looks awesome hope you are able to fix your glass soon. Sucks that happened
I watched another video which stated the Defender is not a good overlander as it has poor reliability. From your video, it seems reliability wasn't even on your list. Good job enjoying it to the fullest.
Don’t bother washing it or removing the scratches - just add some more. They were never meant to stay pristine. Land Rover put a lot of time into designing it to do what you used it for, and much worse. One of the other YT channels has them on 35” or 37” wheels and it really suits them.
Yes that was cool Peace out
Nice one 👌, u reckon 20” wheels would have done a good job for such a trip. Tnx
Definitely some of the other rigs had 20s.
Looks great I do like these but would never buy one , a overlander has to be fixable on the side of the road that was the beauty of the older 90s / Defender
How did you Install the rotopax on the roof rack? What did you use to put in the rail track?
I bought these: amzn.to/48k1UT8 and used the anchor bolts to hold down a Rotopax mount.
It’s not damage, it’s patina 👍🏻🇬🇧
do you get rattle from the lucky8 galley table?
Yep I ended up folding a strip of duct tape around the base on each side which took the rattle away because it makes it tighter.
Or a Nissan , they’re good
Hey there!
We're quite interested in your posting content. We have some Jeep related items. Do you accept sponsored products?
you know what's hilarious, I'm getting rid of my defender bc of the constant quality issues. Land Rover sucks.
Get rid of it and buy a toyota or a nassan
