The only thing I absolutely want is more NPC/better marriage content. More heart events, seeing them interact with each other more, more dialogue options and such… I also want for your spouses to actually do things more often and live a life that isn’t primarily just sitting around on the farm. I want them to go out and move about the town, interact with others, pursue their goals and stuff like that. Plus fixing up post-marriage Shane, poor man just does such a backslide in progress.

I loved his story so much. His 14 heart event was fun, but didn't make sense considering his dialogue at home. I'd love another event for him that acknowledges that, maybe cleans up his room, changes out of that old joja shirt!! Also expand on his chickens and relationship with Jas too!!
i cope with the fact shane goes back to the saloon with assuming hes drinking non-alcoholic stuff now and just chilling there with the other villagers instead of bingedrinking himself to liver failure again

Gunther. 'nuff said...that man got overlooked in so many aspects. He doesn't ever get shown in any of the events that happen twice a season. He can't get a relationship built up. He can't get married. Heck, he doesn't even show up in the end credits after 100% perfection. Giving that man those updates (at least simply having him shown in the events and maybe build up a friendship with) would be amazing. I mean heck you can build up a friendship with Sandy at least so why can't Gunther? You even see Sandy in the desert with Emily from time to time. Please help that museum man get some freedom and much deserved love out there! That's all I want. That's all I wish for.

Things I wish the game could have:
*Children who look like their parents
*Wine, jelly and other such things having a different appearance to distinguish them
*Scenes from 14 hearts become scenes from 12 hearts, and new scenes replace the 14 hearts scenes
*More pet or horse breeds
*Cutscenes for Sandy or with her participation
*At least one new scene for non-marriageable npcs
*Option to form couples
*Something to make marriageable npcs eventually stop flirting with you and be your real friends if you are dating or married
I didn't even know Sandy was a Giftable NPC cause she is just kinda there. Also a lot of the stuff you mentioned is stuff that are mods but PC is the only platform with easy mod access.
@@Mystic-Midnight there's more than one mod for the same thing so I'm sure the developer could make it special and different enough. And yes, Sandy lives far away so it can be difficult but as one of the requirements for perfection is to be friends with everyone eventually you would see her more, having at least one scene for her would make it more special.

Other than Shane all the other spouses kinda guilt trips you for marrying them and making them stay on the farm like I wish they would just be happy @ the farm and not make u feel like shit for being a cockblocker to their dreams
some spouses dont get rid of their dreams, i can only speak abt seb but he literally says that wanting to move to zuzu was just a fantasy and that he realized he wouldnt be able to feel good there at all. he also says that because of the farmers income from farming, he started to work on a game which he wanted to do for a long time.

I would like for kids to turn into same age as vincent and Jas and interact with both of them.
I love the idea of candles and perfume and/or cologne. Things I would like to see are:
1. Your kids grow up to at least Vincent/Jas age.
2. That the kids go on walks with players' spouse. Like when Shane goes shopping, the kids go with him.
3. The family of the players spouse either visit you on the weekends or invite you to dinner.
4. Maybe play equipment to go on the farm for your kids to interact with.
Yeah I think perfumes could be really cool! It could be as simple as allowing flowers to be put into kegs
god i agree with the 3rd one so much, it ALWAYS bothered me how robin just never rlly cared, she has a few lines after i married seb but her literally not saying ANYTHING about becoming a grandma just makes me sad :(

the only problem with the kids aging up, is that the other kids should age up too, like vincent and Jaz should age too. and then when they get older, the adults should age too, I think. and then you get the problem that the people should die and new people should move in... and that just escalates as well...
It is insane that I’ve never really thought about this!! I’ve definitely thought about how Evelyn and/or George could pass in a sweet SDV type of way… but yeah, everyone else would need to grow too! Kind of like Kynseed, eventually the game would have to end and start you over after that event or you’d have to continue as your kid/grandkid
Hm I guess that idea will never be added then but maybe we can customize our kids or them actually looking like u and your spouse and be able to do more things with your kids?(but I mean...like 20 in game years or longer doesn't really change the characters bc now we are just in a time loophole...

My wishlist:
- the ability to store your tools and weapons in your dresser
-the ability to color code your kegs
-the ability to make your own vinegar
-the ability to toggle between bats and mushrooms later on in the game
-the ability to warp to the secret woods after it’s unlocked
-an endgame quest to get the iridium scythe which can be used to harvest all crops

I think there should be a secret ending attached to the 100% complete route where the protagonist grows old and hands the farm down to their grandchildren just like in the beginning ❤
I think this would be a cool "New Game+" feature. It starts the game over with your kids or grandkids. Maybe take all the towns people and do color pallete changes on the hair and skins to make them "different. New Game plus would have you go with all buildings still in place and money, however the crops and farms is started over.
I'd like maybe some extra cutscenes for Sandy and Gunther to explain their backstories. I have a soft spot for Sandy and like her character and mannerisms, same with Gunther, so seeing them fleshed out a bit more would be nice.
The adventures guild need some fleshing out yoo.

here’s what I want from the 1.6 update:
more buildings, being able to have more basements or build extra sheds with basements because unless you stuff the basement with casks like a chicken it’s kind of tedious to cut them down one by one
new area, maybe an extra village, an extra story, maybe a city?
a boss fight. once you upgrade to infinity gavel and enchant it, things get kind of easy in the mines
junimo huts on ginger island. picking up 300+ star fruit every 7 days is pretty annoying
being able to buy special seeds from different cities for a small amount of time
this is a mod, but the tractor. maybe it could be worth a lot of gold because it helps with planting seeds, watering, etc.
community upgrade of a school. having books and stuff for the children esp if concernedape isn’t willing to age the children
even if we cannot marry the wizard, atleast have a story with him. i wanna see what happened between him and the witch, maybe his secret child? ooh and a story with gunther as well
and lastly, being able to EXPAND the size of your farm for a very large fee
So idk if you already know this, but learnt recently you can use the hoe for casks and if you have it upgraded you can hold it down and will do a bunch at once (So hold once for collecting, then again to pick up casks) Still tedious but alot faster than using ax :)

If you play enough of Stardew Valley, one of the main problems is you know too much about the villagers and what they're gunna say most of the time. Personally I would like there to be more ways you can talk to the villagers such as asking them stuff like: How are you doing today? Or What have you been up to lately or even ask them to maybe hang out with you such as having parties or play games like you do with Abigails 2 heart event. Basically make them feel more alive and social etc
I think the marriage dialogue could have a massive improvement, because when you get married you see the same 10 or so pieces of dialogue from ur spouse all the time and it kinda breaks the immersion
Yes, I love Harvey but 2 times a week it's the exact same dialogue about going to the clinic
I love Alex but he just keeps talking about being worried that I'll die or saying that I'm getting buff, I'd love it if there were different dialogues depending on how long you've been married and maybe have them attend their family and friends' birthdays and have some special dialogue then too

I think they should add a new cutscene in which you can tell Shane whether or not he should go to rehab/therapy if you get max hearts with him he will come back and be happier but have one less heart :) (he appears 3 seasons later and you get a cutscene in which you can help him clean the beer out of his room)

THE DWARF! They have literally nothing involving them after their shared cutscene with Krobus, yet they still show up on the relationship tab. If anyone needs more cutscenes or anything for befriending, it's them.
Yes! I would love the Dwarf to be able to move in with you, like Krobus can. Having more platonic "marriage" candidates would be great.
Being able to sell clothes!! There's literally no reason for cloth and the sewing machine, except making yourself an extensive wardrobe. Selling clothes would be fun.

Make the pets actually useful or make it so you can play with them and have them follow you around or give you silly gifts they found.

Imagine your cat/dog going to the mines, or around town with you, even some special perks (if you have a cat, certain mobs don’t get close, or if you have a dog your dog can help you pick up resources)
If the children could at least grow out of the toddler stage, like Vincent and Jas. Maybe we could dress them with different outfits and they would walk around town and go to school, like the Others. That would be already a huge improvement.
Also, I want multiple pets on my farm. Why can we only have one cat? I want 20!

Hiring the NPCs to work on your farm would be interesting, Say you could spend gold to hire Seb or Abby water your crops or Clint to help remove the mess. I would also love to see some of the larger mods such an SVE become available on console instead of a full mod browser.
I know that some games have built in mod menus where you can just download whatever mod you want and it's just part of the game (Farming Simulator is the one coming to mind). It would be awesome if that was in SV because switch players wouldn't have to worry about modding their switch and other console players could actually use mods. Great idea!
I'd like to see the option to become mayor of Stardew Valley. Like once every 4 years elections are taking place and you can register to participate. In order to gain the votes of villagers you'd need to have 8-10 hearts with them and if you have the majority of villagers with 8-10 hearts you can become the mayor. It could add new dialogs, new tasks to help others as mayor. Obviously if you don't register in the following years, Lewis becomes mayor again. I think it would be interesting mechanic for the game.
I want to see the town change more. We have the community center restored, joja turned into a movie theater and then that’s it. (Or the joja route)
More homes could be built to add new characters. More businesses added. Current businesses expanded.
Willys place could be turned into an actual Marina so I can grab the boat when he’s not there.
More automation and/or helpers (like the junimos)
I want to call the adventures guild like the other shops or a way to see your monster eradication goals without having to go all the way there.
Also, if the kids could grow up and go to school with the other kids. Maybe giving Penny an actual classroom.

I would like either something like the calendar that i can track at my house or be able to call much sooner and see what the current progress of the monster eradication goals are. The guild has the worst hours by far of all the shops.
A very specific thing I’d want is a piano for Elliott’s room after we marry him 😔 I want him to have stuff to do.
Another thing I’d like to see that’s kinda small is your spouse interacting with your kids. Like picking them up and playing with them. Elliott mentions he wants to teach the kids how to read so maybe something like that.
Oh yes! I wanted so bad to get him a piano but after I got the furniture catalogue I didn’t see it. 😔
My main thing is I really, desperately just want to have both a cat and a dog. I'm a both person, a good farm needs both. And even if it's just for aesthetics and decoration purposes, a bathroom would be nice. Or bathroom furniture
I just wish that flowers only stack by quality and not also by colour :D

I'd like:
- A new area to explore that includes in people and marriage candidates.
- Marriage rivals
- Kids growing up (maybe leaving at one point and getting an option to have more)
there is a ton of mod for all of these point
Let's list the mods that will do these things: Little NPCs for the kids; Life Cycle and various Rival Heart mods; (nothing for Jas and Vincent yet - and they'd have to add updated dialogue too - i considered writing it but have too many current projects); Downtown Zuzu; train station mod exists, but only has aquarium; east scarp adds an inn with several guest npcs; ppja for the crops, perfume etc; romanceable Rasmodius; Looking For Love; (a lot of ideas not included, lol); many expansion mods to add new towns and numerous heart events expansions. Community Center reimagined sends npcs to the CC including school, a mod to add other features was proposed but never released. Would enjoy cooking classes. Market Day for your own shop; diverse seasonal villagers for outfits. Ridgeside if you want a new town and challenges. Free Dusty. Multiple farm mods;

There is also a mod that lets you put hats on your pet, for those who want to style up their pupper or catto
I want CA to really look at Stardew Valley Expanded. Thet mod takes even the smallest things and gives them value. We now get back story on Marlon we get to meet and gift Gunther and there is always something to do. I feel like just taking a look at the small things is what needs to be done
This might be too big, but Id love to be able to take the kids (and spouse?) on family trips. Like we all go to the beach, playground, movies or library. Go on bus or boat to desert/ginger island. Could have special cutscenes for them or just go there and watch the kids run around and new dialogue with the spouses. And doing so will increase hearts (Maybe keep it to once a week being able to do it?
Also many of the things asked for have mods for them that other players have worked hard to do and work pretty well. I'd love to see him somehow add some of those already done mods, maybe they could be done as expansions that are brought in steam and the mod creators could get paid a cut to supply them?? People could submit their mods to him and if he sees ones he thinks would be good he can add them.
I know my computer struggles running the mods and only just handles it, but there would be so many other who can't use them due to PC not handling it or because they are on a different device, or that the mods are too confusing to add.
I just want to be able to repare the hat mouse house.

It would be great if one could switch the use of the cave on the farm later in the game, like start with bats and later switch to mushrooms.

The mushroom setup kinda sucks though. If you don’t harvest every day you’re missing out while with the fruit you can wait a few days and there’s more in there
Maybe for the romance rivals idea, it could be that you could kind of play matchmaker. That way, you don't potentially miss out, but you can still set people up, like Sam and Penny, to be romantically involved.
Y'know what? Maybe a cutscene where the mother/father visits stardew valley. Maybe yearly cutscene just to have the check their progress etc along with interactions between player's parent and spouse. The parent will stay for a week or a month.
A very important but very minor upgrade I would like to see would be beer going from a loved gift to a hated gift after getting Shane clean.
I think making the kids age up would make the game a lot more complicated than it needs to be. I think a great quality of life update for the kids would be if they could run outside when they are toddlers or seeing your spouse walking around town with your kids, with just a few small dialogs or heart-scenes with the non-marriage candidates interacting with the kids! Like Jodi inviting you and your spouse over for dinner again but this time your children and spouse are present, or seeing Pam get more character development interacting with our kid around town! It would be really cool! Just a thought idk
I think aging up one more time would be good, make them like older toddlers, maybe put clothes on them, and have them run on the farm and maybe follow the spouse if they go into town
I wanna build buildings on Ginger Island!! It would be so cool if we could have exotic animals in a coop or a barn or even a ranch! Just the thought of that would be cool ☺️
Different models for the kids based on who their parent is. So different hair, eye, and skin colors.
Also, have the kids age, grow, and leave the farm. That way, if you do something like divorce a spouse, the kid could visit their other parent, along with other things.
i suspect the 1.6 update will primarily be new cutscenes, particularly concerning the joja route and some forgotten characters. i have also thought the train station would get an update to be functional at some point! perhaps a visit to zuzu by train like with sam’s concert? i do really hope that animals get an update similar to the animal husbandry mod; as the vanilla animals currently stand they’re just enormous cash cows :P i don’t really care about children, but i do wish they could reflect you or your partner’s appearance, as well as some slightly different animal sprites.
I do like the idea of the kids changing and going to school with jazz and Vincent, but I think getting older would be difficult because as others mentioned, then jazz and Vincent and Leo would have to too, which just makes it complicated.
I think the marriage candidates not losing all their dreams and personalities after marriage would be good.
And I agree that the community centre having more of a purpose would be good too.
higher stakes for the festivals (challenges get harder in year 2-3) would be awesome
The one thing I would love to have is just a couple more farm options with different restrictions like the beach farm and a larger ginger island area. I like the idea of just having a few things dropped that adds to the repeatability to the BASE game, specifically for those that don’t have (or don’t want) a pc
I agree with a lot of the comments about the children. I'd also like to see: maybe a little more depth to spouses (like extra heart events specifically for after marriage), a couple more skin options for pets and the horse, and maybe a couple new plants with recipes for them ( like cacao, vanilla, and cinnamon).
I would like more light options outdoors, rugs to be placed outdoors, and chairs and tables to line up better with themeselves and with carpets. And some more decor options, because without mods all our houses start to look the same after a while. Like the movie theatre tree is 2 types. We all use it. Give us more trees from more locations and indoor plants. Allow us to change the decor in the greenhouse more without mods.
I would love to see your family move to the island with you. Not just visit the beach. But live on the farm with you.
I feel like the clinic should be updated because it’s not used very often except if you are trying to romance Harvey or see the villagers checkups I feel like we should get an annual checkup with Harvey like the villagers and not just in the 4 heart event and maybe we could part time works at Harvey’s and work the front desk or help with patient checkups and so on
It would be cool to see the whole town grow and develop with time. Having npcs marry and have kids. Have the world grow with you in a way
Halfway through but if I have to get something I would love to be able to buy additional room bathroom spa to heal up there and with the whole community center be able to do challenges for friendship points
The train being functional would be awesome and could play into a hotel. Maybe you could have friends from ZuZu who come to visit a few days a season. They could stay in the inn while they're in town and they can be seen out doing different activities in the town.
I'd love to see more crops like carrots, lettuce and cucumbers.

Big time agree on the community center. The center having different perks to visiting would be amazing, and to see the villagers using it would feel really good to see once you finish it.
Something I’d love to see would be to be able to hire Linus and let him stay in a cabin on your farm similar to how multiplayer farmers live on the farm, Linus doesn’t even need to do that much on the farm, just like take care of whatever may be in a small area around his cabin

If you say the other option: he expresses he was worried you'd offer him to move in, and he's happy you understand his way of life
I would love to be able to send letter to npc’s. Like send items for quests or gifts. They maybe don’t have the same friendship levels points but they still allow convenience. The letters are just random words, but you can send items in them.
I would love separate farm options for multiplayer. Allowing separate farms and allowing the other players to add their own farm. Or. To keep a save file from having 6 farms, you have to go to lewis and robin and buy a farm plot and buy and supply the resources for a house.
I also think that maybe an option for a skull cavern elevator. Like once you complete all the monster slayer goals and supply the resources and money. (I.e solar pannels for power since its the desert, iron, etc.)
I love the idea of having a shop, but also having more minecarts, like to the spa, and the secret woods(maybe you have to pay extra for it) etc.
As a console player i'd like to see a upgrade to the scythe to be able to harvest the crops or be able to bring the junimo houses to ginger island
I saw someone mention wanting Gunther to be like the other npcs, get friendship and attends events, I also wish Marlon was like that too. I also hope Clint in particular gets some updated dialogue. Also letting spouses go out more and just not stagnate like they do right now (Ik there's a mod for that, I use it, but it would be nice if it was just part of the game)
I think it would be cool if we could have our own "farm shop" that we can upgrade and design. Since we already have pierre's mabye we could finally go back to the city and have our own shop there, i dont know just something i thought would be cool
Imagine getting to attend Jas and Vincent's graduation ceremony! Or have your kids start to be tutored by Penny! And if your kids move out you can have a big cutscene where you say goodbye! Could be so sweet
With the whole part on Zuzu City, the game being finished, and CA working on his new game, there are mods. This update as you said will bring some major quality of life updates to modding. Heck, Zuzu City IS a mod already. Same with Rival Hearts and kids growing up. That is the cool thing about Stardew modding, it's adding all of these already. Also with the shops, there is a mod for that, Market Day, there is even stuff with the pet bowl, terraforming the farm and more. Though I understand consoles won't be able to experience these mods at all. Another great video Sharky!

There's a few things I want in stardew.
Firstly, if you do the community center marnie should sell the auto petter, maybe for more then Joja, but still.
Secondly, Junimo chests should be able to be picked up even with items in them, and by proxy should be able to be placed anywhere. (Like ender chests from minecraft)
Lastly, a cool way to show off weapons placed on a rack or something, that way you can remeber all the weapons you love.
this is very minor, but I'd love for Pam to have a garbage can once you've made her a house. I've also really wanted to have the jelly, the wine, and even the honey look different depending on what they are. I remember the first time I put a grape in a preserve jar, I was so excited to see purple jelly and then it didn't happen :( so I'd love to see that change. I'd love to see where sandy lives, to be able to look at her things like the other npc's would be nice
I personally would love to see likes change as you progress in heart events with NPCs. My main example is Shane. It really doesn't make sense that beer is still a loved gift once you get to max hearts with him. Maybe it could go from loved, to liked, to neutral, to even disliked as he goes to therapy and gets help! Same with Pam. As she gets her job back and her house built, maybe she also lessens in her love of alcoholic drinks.
I wouldn’t mind being able to help the villagers with their relationship issues, like the wizard and the witch getting back together.
I'd like to find our more about why they broke up before I decided to get them back together!

I'd love spouses to either go on adventures with you to the mine or are at least there in the hospital room when you pass out or become unconscious... like, let the spouses actually more to them than walking around the house and occasionally going for a walk
I got a short heartbreaking cutscene with Krobus when I screwed up and died in the mines. Other marriage candidates don't do that?!?! Damn, I picked right.
(I noticed the died-in-mines condition isn't under the quotes section for a couple human options on the wiki. I've never chosen anyone but Krobus and it's surprising that he has this as a special interaction. Can't help but ask why.)

I want the babies to be able to grow up, and interact with the other children you have, or vincent and jas. ALSO PLEASE HAVE THE CHILDREN LOOK LIKE THE PARENTSSSS
This is just a random idea but I'm just surprised no Harvest Moon game or other farming game I can think of has used this idea yet either: being able to grow peanuts and having a "peanut butter maker" similar to the mayonaise makers and cheese makers would be cool. Or maybe I'm just addicted to peanut butter idk.
What I would love is the option to encourage the bachelors and bachelorettes to start relationships. But not in the way of a rival, more like if you have 6 hearts with two people you can encourage both of them to go on a date together. That way you can still have the bachelors and bachelorettes get their happy ending, but that way the player has a bit more control and you don’t have to feel pressured to date someone in a short timeframe. Plus I think some candidates work better with each other then my player character
I don't think I'd want anyone placing my crops in the shipping bin automatically.
It would be nice seeing crops watered more.
I might grow something I don't want shipped and it would suck having it automatically shipped.
Choosing what to auto ship would make this idea better so you can control what gets shipped automatically.
I'd like to see the community center go to good use! It would be nice if it was a place you could hang out with people, much like the theater.
Wouldn't mind the opportunity to rent portions of land out to NPCs to run businesses on your farm, or the ability to hire NPCs as farm hands
My first thought is expanding the adventurers guild. I'm not sure how, but it seems like they don't really do much. Maybe occasional quests with creatures that have higher health/damage
Also since they’re called “adventurers” maybe we could have some new areas to explore. Perhaps even the wizard could play a role in opening up a new dimensional portal to a new world/dimension
People do relax and chill in the community centre. I often find Everlyn and Maru in there, and Lewis uses the office. I think Jodie and Caroline chat on the couches sometimes, and Willy looks at the fish. One of the best things about 1.5 is being able to deck the place out so you have a reason to go there yourself.
It's my pipe dream to see the mermaid from the Night Market's Mermaid Show and Ginger Island become an interactable NPC. I don't even care about romance-- I just wanna learn about the mermaid. It'll probably never happen, but a man can hope.

As far as I remember, he said that it would mean that time passes and people get older, which would mean, for example, that George and Evelin would eventually have to die, which he didn't want to implement.
A point to children, the ability to move Jas in when you marry Shane, shane not falling back into drinking when you marry him, being able to gift bachelors/bachelorettes without your spouse getting jealous, more dialogue for everyone
Edit: oh and literally any way to get the recipes without having to wait an entire damn year
The main thing I would like is to be able to sell weapons, armor, rings, etc. at the stupid box instead of having to run all the way to Marlon during the weird hours he feels like opening the door.
A quality of life thing I would like is more automation but not so much that it’s all on it’s own. Like I would to see the hoppers put finished materials in a chest

I love the person who mentioned the part time job! I think a good way to integrate that with the community centre would be having the farmer get the option to “run the community centre” and upgrade it, another quest board, having to keep the place running with say coal, flowers for the flower dance etc.
As for the store comment, I kind of did that myself with Ridgeside Valley. I have a shed on my summit farm that i’m in the process of filling with a stack of every crop in the game and decorate it like a shop!
I want children who look like their parents and who age up till Jas and Vincent age. If they have dialogue, better

This may sound a little silly, but I'd like to see the incorporation of insects and insect farming. There are plenty of farms that raise insects are either food, or agricultural purposes. Some insect farms raise things ranging from silkworms, mealworms, buffaloworms, honeybees, lac insects, and crickets..
Now that I think about it, they could make an option to put clothes on children the same way you can put hats on them!
I like a lot of the ideas that were mentioned. I didn't hear any related to the telephone system in the game and I think that could be a relatively easy way to add some small convenience improvements. For example, maybe you could call a villager to set up a movie date instead of tracking them down on the map or arrange a different location to give them quest items. It could also be an alternate method for slowly building friendship, maybe a little more slowly than a face-to-face chat so there's still some benefit to getting out and seeing the villagers in person.
i feel like moveable farmhouse, a new map, and wizard sandy becoming romanceable is the most likely ones from peoples wish list. I personally would love if marlon and gunther became full npcs aswell
I would like to see new crops and a way to change the color of your pets and horse. Also more room in the basement for casks
I know we have it in a mod, but the tractor should be a part of the game. It's a logical end game item.
I'd love a bit of an explanation on interactions with the villagers and your family yeah. Also maybe some more activities you can do in general and more places to go, that'd feel very refreshing
Harvest moon grand bazaar was my favourite hm game, and i think having a bazaar event like a farmers market in stardew where you can sell items (probably for more gold than shipping, for motivation to save things up) with a mini game where you have to lure in townsfolk and out-of-towner customers, people you're friends with can visit you at your stall as well as some of the townsfolk having their own stall where you can buy things like clothes from emily, tea from caroline, gems and ore from abigail after her 10th heart event (when she gets the courage to enter the mines and you can see her there), pierre once again selling any crops you sold to him just for more fuel for the hate fire, etc etc, maybe even potions from the wizard or special items you cant get anywhere else. I think it would be really interesting. Time would have to pass slower though somehow, so you can fully experience it, or maybe time doesnt pass at all like any other festival and you just sell until your inventory is empty and when you leave the area it ends.
This would probably be late to mid game, like after the community centre is restored.

Qol change: the need to equip a scythe to harvest flowers so that when you're collecting varietal honey you don't accidentally chop the fairy rose.
Frankly I can see working sort of side gigs working surprisingly well. Farmers do have off seasons. Many of the farmers I know personally work a side gig of some sort during the winter to make up for lost income - while they’re is still work to be done in the winter (especially if harvest is running late that year) in many places it’s much slower and more preparatory work. One literally used to do my taxes lol. Others often have their own little business, or do consultations, or even sometimes work at the local restaurants and mom and pop shops, with the general understanding that it’s seasonal. Then as things pick up again they return to farming full time before the start of the season.
Here's an idea. He pays the modders whose mods go into the massive expaneded mod. Then he incorporates them into the base game for consoles. They are already made all he would have to do is mess with the codes to make them an actual expansion and make that the 1.7 update. Just a thought.

I'd like to make clothes for the children. I'd like to decorate the outside walls of the house with the seasons like all the other houses can. I'd like the community center to be a new holiday event spot so it serves another purpose. Why can't we rent it for parties we fund? Hire Sam's band, etc.

It’ll be interesting, I doubt it’ll happen but I want dateable wizard, maybe npcs interacting with the community center, rival marriage & more family interactions. If there is the ability for kids to grow I want it to be optional, maybe certain age stages hiden behind optional quests if you’re not interested in aging.
It’s not much but I imagined the ability for the kids to wander around the farm. When you come inside after a long day or something interacting with your kid leads to text mentioning the kid picked something up & hands you a random item that’d be handy. If the kid isn’t awake your spouse mentions the kid picked something up while playing,
The developer mentioned that the game will be continuously updated for the foreseeable future. Considering how incredibly popular the Stardew Valley is and it's like the "de facto" benchmark as what a lot of people expect from farming sim these day.

I would love an artistian shop in the open field at the entrance of the town where different npcs sell different things. Like Caroline selling different coffees and teas Hailey selling photos that you can hang up on walls
I think it would be cool if you could sell clothes? They wouldn't have to be like... expensive, maybe the price of the wool and whatever you used to make it and like... 5% increase to whatever that would make. or something. It would give wool more purpose
I think a apartment would be cool because 90% of the people you can marry live with there parents you could have robin biuld it slowly so you can choose who lives in the apartment or there can be a system like saying robin build a music theme appartment room and then Sam would move in or stuff like that to show character growing up
