The Kid Flash at SFOG was a much needed edition for them. They didn’t offer a true kiddie coaster other than Joker Funhouse. Replacing the Larson Loop in favor for the attraction was a smart move for them in my opinion as it brings a new family ride to their Gotham City area.
@@huntzzio Since they’ve finally filled in their gaps, they can now move on to get an RMC Raptor as their next major coaster that many of us Georgians are rooting for
Given the limitations of the space it occupies, I’m not sure how else Darkoaster’s layout could’ve been improved. Could there be some more effects or setpieces? Yeah, but I think what is there is great.
So happy that I can go and ride Wilcat's Revenge whenever I want with Hershey being my home park. It was so cool to be able to be one of the first to ride for it's soft opening! Great list!
I've only done one new for 2023 coaster worldwide and that's actually Zokkon at Fuji-Q Highland in Japan. It is ironic that me from London did that one before you guys! When you do get on that one I'd keep your expectations measured, as I was kind-of underwhelmed by it.
Honestly I was kinda of surprised by Aquaman Power Wave. It was better than I thought. You get reverse ejector airtime on the hill and you feel really floaty on the spikes.
@@CoasterStudios you should bring back the video reactions like you did with the wisdom teeth removal video! I would love to see that, so sad you only made one of that format.
Honestly Id say Sarahs opinion on the 2 Zingers is warranted. The old schwarzkopf wasnt the most extreme ride out there but its a great all-rounder kind of attraction that can thrill anyone, and work as a standalone thrill ride. Kind of the same appeal that a lot of old wooden coasters have, which is probably why Parque del Cafe is so proud of theirs. The new Zinger doesnt really have that if you ask me, it weirdly almost seems too mild in some areas and too extreme in others. Frankly I think many enthusiasts underestimate the importance of these middle of the pack classic crowd pleasers, like old school woodies, Schwarzkopf Jetstars, Wildcats. Even some of those newer italian built coasters like the Sea Viper coaster up in Maine, or the Super8Bahn that was at Wiener Prater.
Rode Gotham City Escape a couple of months ago, it completely blew my mind! Wasn't expecting it to dethrone Velocicoaster as my favourite LSM coaster! became my #2 overall, only falling short to Iron Gwazi
Fury at Bobbejaanland also slows down the train with a spike and then a turntable to get back to the station ;-) Batman Gotham City Escape would also be my number one, but I've not yet been to Madrid, haha!
I consider myself lucky to have got a ride on Snoopy's Racing Railway at Canada's Wonderland for two reasons: 1-it's my home park, 2-a cousin of mine just happened to be young (and short) enough I could "tag along" for the ride. In the front row might I add!
Did 4 of yours guys top 5 and a few others later in the list but here are my comments and order of the top ones: 1. Arie Force One. Incredible coaster. Best pace smaller RMC. Best inversions on a RMC. Ending didn’t bother me. 2. Toutatis. Layout is really good and they did a great job presenting it. 3. Wildcats Revenge. The start of the ride (drop and under flip) could be better. Great pacing for a coaster that size. Some have issues with the transitions at the end but I don’t. I still prefer SkyRush 4. Pipeline what a surprise hit for sea world. Easily second best in the park. I agree focus the next one around the airtime hills. I didn’t get on Gothem City Escape. Hopefully by 2025 I will get on it. My expectation is it will end up either 2nd or 3rd for me.
I personally think Chessington should have put in a clone of the family wing at LEGOLAND Deuchland instead of the Launched boomerang wing coaster they got, plus also would have better capacity
What you didn't get on: Scandinavian Trio: - Luna (Vekoma Family Boomerang) - Lightning at Furuvik (Vekoma Family Launch) - Storm the Dragon Legend (Gerstlauer Inverted Launcher) Rest of Europe: - Maximus - der Flug des Wächters (Family-Friendly B&M Wing with two inversons at Legoland Deutschland) - Firlefranz (Gerstlauer Family Multi Launch at BayernPark) - Verrückwärts (first of its kind SBF Boomerang in Rasti Land, Germany) - Uncharted (Intamin Multi-Dimension Coaster) - Walibi Holland Zamperla Family Coaster UAE: - Manta and the Family Coaster at SeaWorld - Mission Ferrari Japan: - Zokkon (Intamin Motorbike Launcher) - Regina II (GCI Retrack of Regina) North America: - Snoopy at Canadas Wonderland - Arctic Rescue But yeah, except for maybe Uncharted, Storm, Maximus and the UAE (esspecially Manta) you got on evry major coaster! Congrats!
Only got to ride Toutatis out of these and it is a beast. Yeah the trim sucks, however with the layout after it is so necessary. It would be okay trimless until lets say early afternoon. But once it is warmed up in the late afternoon/evening it is ruthless and without the trim it would be way too much. Got several nightrides on it which made it even better.
When you come back to Germany, I'd be curious to get your reaction to Maximus: The Guardian's Flight which opened in 2023 at Legoland Deutschland. It's a new B&M "family" wing coaster with a couple inversions. We were there two weeks ago with essentially no lines and probably rode it 10 times. My adventurous 8 year old LOVED it, and I thought it was also great, albeit very short ride duration. Smooth ride, good color choice, and some nice hang-time on the inversions.
Regarding Airieforce One, I wonder if part why they had it designed so badassedly, was to stick it to nearby Six Flags, as they totally dropped the ball in their RMC redesign of the Georgia Cyclone, removing elements, thus rendering it an unforgivably short right. They say that they removed some elements from the original, so as to maintain momentum; but, this also could’ve easily been resolved simply by making it taller.
I got on Matugani, Wild Mouse, Arieforce One, pipeline, and Big Bear Mountain. And the biggest surprise for me was Pipeline, it was my favorite experience at Sea World. However BBM was the most fun out of of them. I loved AF1’s Raven truss dive, but 1 ride was all I could muster as I’ve always despised RMC’s restraints; they just sit really bad on my build, and the finale made me walk off in pain and that’s never a good thing. I agree with Sarah the ending is too much.
I wonder where Arctic Rescue at Sea World San Diego would’ve ranked. I think it might be just ahead or behind Darkoaster, depending on if they prefer being inside vs outside. Theming is almost non existent, but it’s similar to Darkoaster
Pipeline wrecked my manhood in ways that no other ride has ever come anywhere close to doing. I don't know what it is about my anatomy that is different than Taylor's, but I could tell the airtime was good while being kicked repeatedly in the nuts. I do love airtime, but not as much as I appreciate not being repeatedly pummeled in the groin.
Skyrush>wildcats revenge Arieforce one>wildcats revenge Toutatis>everything on list Toutatisiron gawazi Intimidator 305>everything I hav been on witch is 861 credits💀
Since Leviathan at Sea World barely made it into 2022, if it had been delayed another month where would you have ranked it on this list? I personally thought it was neck and neck with DC Rivals in Australia
So unfortunate you had such a bad experience on Zambezi. I grew to absolutely love it over the course of the season. Like Prowler, it gives an amazing night ride that takes it to the next level.
I only got to ride for NEW coasters Big Bear Mountain and Wild Mouse but I got some new credits from kentucky Kingdom and Great America so My NEW FOR ME ranking probably goes Thunder Run Kentucky Flyer Whizzer Demon Wild Mouse Viper Great bear mountain Lightning Run Maxx Force Storm Chaser
Have be the devil's advocate for a bit here: the parts mentioned on the great theming of Gotham City escape were mainly already there and reused parts of their old Simulator ride. In Moviepark Germany you can still see it as a simulator as they had the same batman simulator but they changed it to time raiders due to losing the IP. Ofcourse this i will also admit that this was a very smart move from the park to reuse the existing theming on site.
I LOVE to see Batman Gotham City Escape at #1 since it is very special to me being in my home park and following all the construction with just spray marks on the floor of the park
Lowkey my only disappointment this year was Zambezi Zinger. Keep in mind, I had been HYPED for it. I LOVE family coasters! But the restraints and trains were *BAD.* Hated to see it, but I left feeling like WOF dropped the ball all around.
