I am a native New Yorker and I had to get out because it got too expensive. Prices are always going up and the service received for said prices are going down. I just moved to Florida, and could buy two homes for the price I spent in NY. Mayor Bill de Blasio and Governor Cuomo are destroying NY City and State.
The A and C go into Manhattan before looping back to the outer borough, respectively and so does the J train. That is what ahe was refering to. Actually others wrote to remind her the G train doesn't go into Manhattan at all.
Wait a minute you’re complaining that it’s broke down, then you’re complaining that there’s always construction. I’m sorry you can’t have your cake and eat it too.
You nailed it. All valid points, I would be on the 3 and the 1 train would race past or when I work in Queens and lived in the Bronx (Bronx to Queens via Manhattan). I always complained about the dog poop until I worked in San Francisco, the poop there is human.
They’re both pretty similar. Packed with tourists Roaches Homeless everywhere Mentally ill everywhere Impossible to buy a home High cost of living Better to visit than live
I'm in my 60's but trust me, i had this complaint from the time I was a teen. It grates on my nerves when outsiders and tourists treat us like we don't matter and attempt to tell us about out city as though we're clueless. YOUR A VISITOR, STAY IN YOUR DAMNED LANE!!! It has made me more mindful of resudents in cities I've visited. I may enjoy my visit at a slower pace however, the locals still are living there lives and need to get places and do things.
Number 5 .....I rather give money to some kid doing something to earn it rather than being robbing me for it. If I see a kid or adult doing something positive something to earn money I have no problem giving money. They could be doing something else. Sometimes that person might be working towards a goal.
1. Manhattan 2. Slow express trains 3. Weekend construction 4. Broken escalators 5. Subway breakdancing (that shit is unentertaining) 6. Dog shit (it’s everywhere) 7. Scaffolding 8. Pretentiousness (stay away from these type of toxic people. they not really about shit. seriously.) 9. The rat race (the grind is real. LEARN to stay focused cause the city will eat you)
1- G train, Brooklyn to Queens only. Not "useless" if you're going from 🤔 Brooklyn to Queens and back 2- Happens once in a blue moon 3- Gotta fix the subways, would you prefer weekday construction? 4- See number 2 5- In the train, problem; on the platform no problem 6- Agreed 7- Great for rainy days 8- They're mostly out-of-towners 9- Out-of-towner complaint, normal pace for real NYers
I hate when I'm driving and I'm the first at the light. Light turns green. Not even a second. Someone has to honk. Let me take the foot off the break atleast !!! It just turn green !!!
My dads from New York but I’ve never been as an adult I’ve been told here in New Mexico where I was born and raised that I have a slight NY accent and attitude 🥰 p.s I love your voice and would love to see the face behind it
Oh that’s cool. I live in Albuquerque, but have visited NYC several times. It was ok but I love the wide open desert of where we live. I agree with you though that I’m curious about the narrators’ looks, and I love her slight NY accent!
The worst thing that happened to me was the city deciding to do major weekend subway construction on the weekend right before Christmas (what a perfect time). I was trying to get the A train to Penn Station to get a train to Newark, and the city decided it was a great time to run all of the trains on the A line locally. Of course, every stop was packed, and I missed my NJ train and had to pay over $80 for a Lyft to make my flight to my family for Christmas.
You right about NYC 😎 it is so crazy 😜 among other things ($&%#~) . I been in NYC three times and I love it, but to live there it's totally different. You have to have plenty of Money 💰 and have a good job with a six figures (100,000.00 dollars + per year) and if you don't you have to work so hard everyday and have three or more jobs and live in a ghetto in order to survive. Despite the bad things that NYC has, but it's a Magic City like no other city. Either way you pay a huge price, unfortunately that is how life is 😒. We can't always get what we want (by The Rolling Stones)😂. Thanks for your videos I really like them 👍
I live in Brooklyn (less than a 5 min walk from the subway)but work in Queens…It’s a 17 minute drive that takes 1 hr 15+ min by train and that’s only during the day with NO delays.
Scaffolds will never leave the city. Even when there is no new construction or repair work, some buildings are mandated by the city to have regular inspections via scaffolding.
1. Drivers that "Block the box" so cross traffic is stuck2. Pedestrians suddenly stopping in the middle of the sidewalk with no regard to those behind them.3. People who "fall asleep" at a traffic light.
You just say, "#9, SUBWAY" and you could include more non-subway related pet peeves. I always say if you complain about the subway so much all the time, but you still choose to ride it, then stop complaining. You can do something about it if you don't like it. As a cyclist, Subway issues are out the window for me. My pet peeves would be people walking and cars parked in the bike lanes. AND CITIBIKE riders. They break more bike laws of the city than cyclists who ride their own bikes. The rat race occurs amongst the cyclist as well. It's annoying. For non-bike related pet peeves are people walking with smartphones smashed into their faces. They are in the way, they are slow, and it's an epidemic!! I'll wait for replies complaining about bikes in the city! ciao!
I don't really mind the scaffolding. It's also there for your safety, if you get hit in the head with debris from a construction job and there wasn't scaffolding put up then people would complain about it being unsafe. It's also nice and convenient on a rainy day!
There was GG line in 80’s ran between Q and Brooklyn, but no shot it was faster to walk the tracks Train ran like 45 min apart if lucky. Think they shut it down, tunnels still, there.
Train etiquette. Let people off to get on and vise versa. I gotta shoulder people to get off the train. I agree with slow Express trains.1 and 5 train weekend construction is the freaking WORSE.
I am a native Angeleno (born & raised in LA), and just about every complaint you have about New York is the same here in LA! We have trains & subways and though they’re not nearly as old as yours are there always seems to be some kind of [new] construction or delay. Also many of our trains run on the streets- parallel to the vehicle traffic and too many drivers don’t know how to share the road and usually do something stupid that causes a delay. There’s always some kind of construction going on here too. Though they don’t film here nearly as much as they used to, that can occasionally be a problem too (that or some award show)- TRAFFIC. Speaking of traffic you can add that to the list in both cities. As for the dog poop, that seems to be the way most dog owners are these days- lazy & inconsiderate. I feel your frustration, but we both live in cities many dream of (visiting and/or living in). 🤷🏽♀️
The G train exclusively travels between Brooklyn and Queens.
It's the only subway line that doesn't go to Manhattan!
The j train can get you to Queens and Brooklyn and the G doesn't go into Manhattan at all.
*G Train* : Am I a joke to you?

Im born and raised in Queens, and the President os a scumbag. Native NYers knew this even before he was on TV shows.
Why does the back round music sound like porn?
Because you watch too much porn and know the entire repertoire?
I'm confused the J and the A, C go right to Brooklyn 🤔🤔
The A and C go into Manhattan before looping back to the outer borough, respectively and so does the J train. That is what ahe was refering to. Actually others wrote to remind her the G train doesn't go into Manhattan at all.
@@agonicole, you just repeated what I wrote.
I live in bushwick, im just glad they didn't shut down the L train
All correct except #1.
New York City sets the Trend for the world.
U hit it spot on Mama. The rat race part is true. Rent going up all the time
Wait a minute you’re complaining that it’s broke down, then you’re complaining that there’s always construction. I’m sorry you can’t have your cake and eat it too.
Rat race😖😫😩😵😲😡
7 out of 9 you'd avoid by riding a bicycle. However, there are at least 7 new ones that you'd have like people parking in bike lanes.
Why live in the New York and complain about everything that comes with living in the city?
Some people have what it takes to like in New york and some dont.
You nailed it. All valid points, I would be on the 3 and the 1 train would race past or when I work in Queens and lived in the Bronx (Bronx to Queens via Manhattan). I always complained about the dog poop until I worked in San Francisco, the poop there is human.
New York looks terrifying 😳
So opposite of Hawaii life 😆

Your prerogative.

you should make a video where new yorkers buy clothes. I'm from Brazil, I just subscribed to your channel.
1- G train, Brooklyn to Queens only. Not "useless" if you're going from 🤔 Brooklyn to Queens and back

You crossed the line when you said subway break dancers.
How about dog poo in freshly fallen snow?
I hate when I'm driving and I'm the first at the light. Light turns green. Not even a second. Someone has to honk. Let me take the foot off the break atleast !!! It just turn green !!!
The time from the light change to getting honked at is faster than the speed of light. Breaks all rules of physics. Still - I love my city.

#10. Tourist standing in the middle of the sidewalk.
The first one is not true especially if you use a transfer to take a bus.
Scaffolds will never leave the city. Even when there is no new construction or repair work, some buildings are mandated by the city to have regular inspections via scaffolding.
Number 1-Deblasio, number 2-Coumo
Your could do a piece on the bridges of NYC or the bridges that connect Manhattan
I loved this! Especially about pretentiousness!!
It’s only pretentious in the pretentious neighborhoods.
you definity are overeacting
TOURISTS TAKING PICTURES OF TALL BUILDINGS AND THINGS!!!!! UGH 😑 MOVE OUT OF MY WAY!!!!!!!
Nah, ima take my pictures while you stand there and wait! If you lucky I might wine & dine you too!

Ahhhhhh sweet home Chicago!
The scaffolding is also there to keep pedestrians from being hit by falling debris due to neglected upkeep.
What about the dancers that don’t use poles do you dislike them also ?
Excellent list of things that get on a person's nerves.
The third one is true Especially with the rise in metrocard price
On point with great sound track
The g goes from queens to Brooklyn but u right theres no bronx to queens bound trains
I forever wish that they'd extend the N line from Astoria to the south Bronx or at least to East Harlem.
beautiful your country.
LOL
#8!😂
Um, ma’am: the G goes from Kensington, Brooklyn, directly to Court Sq, Queens, never leaving Long Island.
The J goes directly from Qns to Bk...& vice versa....
Edward Gore It goes into Manhattan too, over the Williamsburg Bridge.
What are your thoughts on tipping ?
goutam bhola 20% is standard in nyc
@@Mizmoon2020 wow. That is ridiculous. A tip should be an option not an obligation
goutam bhola waitstaff are not your freakin slaves or personal servants. Shocking I know. They need to make a living too.
I got a tip: Get a better job.😂😹😅😹
I think I’ll get a car! Lol
All worthy pet peeves! Thanks for the video.
