    Agree that Mokpo looks like a hidden gem. I stayed there overnight on the way back from Jeju and I would have liked to have stayed longer.
    If you are going to/from Jeju, Mokpo is the shortest ferry trip to Jeju, and the KTX train from Seoul goes directly to Mokpo.

    Hi Yong! We love your channel!
    We would be coming to Seoul in Dec, so excited! The thing is our arrival will be hours before we could finally check into our hotel. We are wondering if there is free public shower facility at Incheon airport Terminal 1 for non transit or non First/Business class passengers? Or could you please recommend us the nearest facility?
    Thanks a bunch! 😊

    Hi there :) Yeah August is probably not the best time to visit, but unfortunately that's the only month that fits our schedule for 2023 :(
    Maybe you can do a series of where Koreans go for good food in various districts? I'm a foodie and I try to avoid many touristy places when it comes to food. I'm more interested in going to places where local eats, be it a restaurant or a hidden gem tuck in the alleyway, or some sorts :) Love all of your contents btw!

    Thank you for mentioning my question and sorry for my translation which may not be the best. I will come around 2 months in autumn in South Korea, I make baskets in France and I am interested in discovering all forms of traditional Korean crafts and especially those who make them. I found some addresses and places and thank you for taking the time to answer. Thanks for your videos!

    I will be making my fifth trip to Korea in October. To save money, I usually stay in Airbnb's, where I am responsible for sorting my waste and recycling. Korea's system is very different from the one we have in Seattle, so it's confusing. I.e., in Seattle all food waste - including things like soiled pizza boxes - goes into a yard waste bin and is turned into soil. On the other hand, in Korea one can't include egg shells, chicken bones, citrus peel, because food waste is used for fodder.
    Different Korean friends told me different things about handling plastic wrap on cheese slices or candy bars - throw away or wash and then put in recycling. One friend told me that if I wasn't sure, I should just put something in the trash. I want to be respectful of Korea's practices, but it's hard to find good information online that is in English. I also looked for UA-cam videos but couldn't find them. I realize that most tourists stay at hotels and don't need to worry about sorting their waste, which is handled by hotel staff...thus my request is for a niche audience - a video on how to handle trash. (For instance, I didn't learn till later that some Koreans put their food waste in the plastic bag and keep it in the freezer until they've collected enough to put the bag out to be collected.)
    Sorry for the length of this message...I simply want to do what I can to help the environment...and thanks for your help!

    "Korea Transit Guide" is a Korean Transport app that is in English. It is on iPhone and iPad, sorry I don't know if it's on Android too. It is a little fiddly to figure out how it works, but when you do it gives you good travel options in English.

    We are going in a family trip to Seoul in early March with 2 kids, 3 and 13. What are the best place for families? Would you recommend renting a car for 8 people instead of tours? Thanks for the Q&A and chicken recommendation!

    • @yourkoreafriend
      @yourkoreafriend  Рік тому +1

      Hello! Some I can think of at the moments are amusement parks, aquarium, parks, museums! I will try to do a video about attractions for families to visit! If you have a big group, tour is a good option. But if you want something private, you can look into getting a personal van drive service instead of renting a car. I think it's around 400,000 won a day. :)
