tennis 🎾 hermano’s ! Fantástico ___ great 👍 quality stuff…. Have been watching and learning with you Felix & Brother!! You are absolutely fantastic in the way you are learning and expressing yourself in these videos for ALL of US … Respectfully yours… ever in the Las Vegas area { I am up in Summerlin- Red Rock Canyon area … } and have a batch of great friends who play together on a 2-3-4-5 time a week basis… with a mix of newer blood mixed in to take our games to a higher levels
What I love about Patrick is that he always encourages you, and even if you hit a worse shot, he says okay and doesn't interfere in your game constantly
Yes - this is one of the best qualities.

What a journey this is to get this first point. Love the series, keep working hard Felix!

He looked pretty happy with your performance and it seemed to me as if he confirmed on your tennis career. Great interaction!
Thank you. It was a really amazing experience
You made me start playing again after watching your videos and I had stopped playing for nearly 8 years, thank you so much. I really love you’re content
I love how Patrick lets you explain what you feel and what you see, even if he disagrees, without interrupting. It’s often a dialogue rather than a lecture
Fantastic meeting with Patrick! Beautiful work on that backhand, Felix!
Felix this was another great video! I'm also glad that you are working on your backhand and backhand slice, as those are also some of my weakest points and what I am currently working on. This was a great lesson for me and to see what Patrick had to say to you about your backhand I definitely took note of that and will apply what he said to help my backhand get better. Keep up the hard work! That ATP point is right around the corner! Thank you for the awesome content!
I just love watching you and Patrick together. He’s so clear in his instructions and you’re so quick to implement them!
The content is amazing! Really hope you continue with the uploads. Tennis needs this! Watching you have made me pick up tennis again. Used to compete at a high level in Sweden between the age of 12-18 but stopped playing completely afterwards!
Awesome, so much detail in a short session. I thought your 2 hander looked good at the beginning but the Coach made it look even better.
Thank you so much for filming this experience because it helps teach all of us too
Great video keep it up and you’ll get your 1 ATP point soon!!
Keep up the great work, you will go far!
Lovely vídeo Félix keep up the good work👍
I also play in Mouratoglou. And I have seen you many times there😊
Patrick Mouratoglou is so cool to watch and listen. So envious.
Really helpful video will definitely try to implement this for my backhand! Thanks Felix!
Wow felix youre getting better and better by the video, i love to see your progress from those videos all those years ago.
What a legend Patrick! 🔥
huh its funny just how much I've learned from this, great content!
I really hope for you to maybe even be coached by patrick when you get to the main tour eventually. Just keep going💪💪💪
Great job Felix! Keep up the amazing work. You can see how some of his tips on your slice have been similar tips for ST. Follow thru towards the target, getting your weight transfer on the shot, and hitting it further back in the swing plane. Amazing work. Best of luck to you!
It's now a year later, you're a MUCH better player than you were then, and you've embraced Patrick's coaching such that your backhand is truly a weapon. Keep it up!
Amazing video! Keep up the good work!
Great content featuring how tennis coaches train upcoming pro's!
Love it! Clicked the notification right away, I wish I could meet you one day..
Great stuff felix!
Another amazing video 🔥🐐❤️
I'm glad you chose to practice these things with this extremely knowledgeable coach. I have said on multiple threads that your backhand is landing way too short. Patrick instantly picked up on your weaknesses, but the impressive thing was, how quickly you responded to his tips. With this advice, you will have to rename this series from "Road to 1 ATP point" to "Road to first ITF tournament win".
I learnt a lot from this video 👏🏼
my absolute dream is to go to that academy for a year after i finish high school! i would love some coaching from there, and from this video, i can see that it's super good and i will improve a lot. good luck for your next match felix!
Really great video. Patrick is such an amazing coach. He knew exactly what the issue was and what was needed to improve. Looks like you have the tools to practice and take your game to the next level. Wishing you the best!
Wow I'm not going to lie, I've been playing tennis (not well mind you) since I was in the 9th grade at age 14ish with very inconsistent coaching and I've never really been advised on where to make my contact on my back hand slice. This really helped! I'm definitely going to focus on the lateral movement & back hand slice next time I go out to the courts 😄
So cool you can get coached by him
Your improvement is crazy
love ur content keep going!
Patrick seems like a great coach to work with.
u never stop giving us great content
thank you
Great content
Great vid
Amazing video
Yes checo P1
great video, keep it up
In fairness patrick is probably the only elite coach i've seen a lot of but i can't help but think he is by far the most versatile and helpful coach out there - the fact he can apply himself to the best on the world, high-level amateurs and players on their way to being pros like Felix is astounding. i'm sure he doesn't do much with beginners but can you imagine a better coach to teach you the basic techniques? bravo patrick and well don felix - slice was looking savage 😵
Very nice Video, keep going
Yes Felix!
I've been teaching professionally for 4 years but I would not have the confidence to feed like his feeding coach in front of Patrick. That being said, it's nice to hear essentially the same things I teach my students coming out of his mouth. Don't want to hit short? Extend and reach through your shot. Boom.
He's also the coach of Stefanos Tsitsipas
Theoretically is his father, but every session and every practise he does, is with Patrick Mouratoglou (his surname apparently shows he has some Greek roots I believe)
But tsitsipas continue to suck in backhand 🤣
oh thats why hes such an advocate for on court coaching, he always tries to defend tsitshit
Good luck for reaching your 1st ATP-Ranking point. Work hard and the point is near. What are your next tournements ? I saw on itf homepage that you withrew from some Monastir Futures.
awesome Content with the master 👍
Masterclass slice !
Wow, to get tips from Patric M, what a treat🎾😁👍. I'm a little bit jealous of you, bro! 😉
Looking good, keep grinding!!!
Thanks! Will do!
I mentioned about your slice not keeping low in one of your vedios(success in wales?,1st atp point episode 9, uploaded 2 months back).......its good ,u are working on it.
You gave great feedback ;-)
just perfect , can't wait for the next tournoment , vamoos 🔥
btw let's be friends in tennis clash and play some games 😂
Inspiring lesson! I'll try to make such beaufitul slices with my ham.
Love it
looking good
Wow much better slice can’t wait to see you use it in a game
thank you
Great Video, keep up the great work mate!
Can you make a Video only about your gym Sessions ?
Keep it up. I think you have a big win coming up
thank you
Nice vid
Good luck
I feel that I need a coach like Patrick.
Agassi I think had one of the best 2 handed backhands. He really pushed and accelerated through the ball.
Agassi is a living legend
Yes but two different styles. Agassi didn't hit heavy top or move back so much to hit the deep shots, everything deep was hit on the rise
Dear Felix, could you tell us about your racket specs and string setup that you usually use? Thx!
Keep working👍
The most important thing you did was listen to his advice, then correct yourself as you could feel what was right or wrong. Coaches love that kind of student.
super
Here Agree with Patrick - stay as loose as possible 🙏 nic one
I'm really curious about what strings you use and the tension you prefer if you dont mind telling.
14 minutes felt like 5. That was really good man lol
Felix - I played a lot of State tournaments before the age of 21. I am glad you are brave enough to show this lesson with Patrick. Your cross court BH needs help. You want it to be 90+% cross court into the opponent's BH corner. Almost all of your BHs are hitting center court. The 2HBH is complex. I think you may be stuck in the "lefty FH" mode. For direction, think of your right hand knuckles leading the way (Agassi has a good video on YT explaining this). And get the right arm up quickly. To learn this, you have to hit slower (60% pace) and work on accuracy (cross court, within 3 feet of each sideline). You look way too tight, and your swing is way too fast (you hit a few 5+ feet out). Slow everything down and work on accuracy. High topspin over the net is fine as long as they go into the corner. That is where you want your opponent to hit most of his shots. Use the knuckles for direction. I cannot see your grip but you need a little space between the hands on the grip (an inch) to get a smooth wrist drop (and avoid tightness). Hope that helps. I know one day I will see you wearing opponents down hitting BHs into their BH corner all day long. Best wishes.
When is gonna be your next tournament? Can t wait to see.
Hello, Great video. What do you think about d1 and d3 tennis. Thanks
Great PR for Mouratoglou academy.
I don't get how to "keep the ball in the racket". Can you please elaborate what you think Patrick meant and how you tried to execute that?
Patrick was right about keeping the swinging arm extended on the slice. The ball will float if you get under it instead of through it. Another thing is to stay low and still using your leg muscles. Don’t come up too quickly or the ball will go flying.
This is not going to be a popular remark but Moratoglou's advice on the backhand slice is not in line with modern professional slice technique. Professionals do not follow through in the direction of the shot but instead make a half circle (or a U shape) starting high left, going down anf up again high right (for a rightie). You can see this technique explained on Intuitive Tennis's channel but you can observe this for yourself in matches by frequent slicers, like Federer, or Thiem, or any pro really.
I've seen Moratoglou give the same (wrong) advice to Holger Rune for what seems to be a promotional video and you can see Rune change his slice technique on request but then gradually "falling" back into the "wrong" technique which is actually the correct, or at least modern, technique. And the strange thing is, PM doesn't correct him, because the slice is obviously very good.
I'm a nobody and PM is a professional coach, so I'm not expecting a lot of sympathy here but I can't help noticing what I observe. I'm dumbstruck on why a professional coach would teach (aspiring) professionals a traditional technique which has long evolved since. If he were coaching beginners then I could accept the traditional technique is more simple to acquire. But here he's teaching a guy who's going for ATP strength - not to speak of Rune.
I'd love to see other opinions, if possible by Felix himself, on why PM would do this, or if there's another reason why I'm wrong here.
There’s a time and place for every kind of slice honestly.
Respectfully disagree with your comment. I did watch Intuitive Tennis's slice instruction for his 4.5 level student. I don't think Intuitive Tennis and Patrick M. are disagreeing at all. What both of them asked the students to do sounded the same to me, just using different words to describe it. Patrick M. didn't say the racket should go forward towards the target and not to make the "U". Instead, Patrick M. said the "body" should follow into where the player wants the ball to go while the arm is doing the slice motion. You can see from their demonstration that they both showed/asked the students to make contact with the ball next to the body, not in front of the body. Further, you can see that Patrick M. showed the student to do the "U" shape (ie: High-to-Low-to-High) swing path, see 6:08 and watch how the student's arm move (ie: U shape) but also watch where the body is following into (ie: following the direction of the target). I think the reason Patrick M. talks about the body as the main focus is because his students are much higher level pros/semi-pros, not a 4.5 dude, and his instruction has another layer or two of nuances beyond the basic technique.
@@andyhung424able Thanks for the thoughtful response. I agree there are commonalities between both instructions, like making contact to the side of the body, but I seem to remember Nik Aracic discourages the follow through in the direction of the shot, recommending the U shape instead. I'll look it up again. Cheers.
this player also stays to close and take the ball to early- before the ball reach highest point after the bounce
The U has more sidespin and this one more backspin
Hi Felix. Amazing work. What a gift to be able to work with him. Do you mind me asking how much it costs to spend 2 weeks at the Mouratoglou Academy?
Let’s go Felix
What about some love for Jamesy down the other end
The feeding looks on point 👏
Hey Felix, any chance you could share a full injury prevention routine? I've seen bits and pieces but..
Still thinking of including the complete routine ...watch the space...
Can you do a video on your tennis racket?
Your tennis level is just astonishing. Congrats
don't make him feel he is gonan reach top 100
Are there any places like this in the UK which are open to the public to book onto?
The secrets of toilet break in lesson 2 👍🏼
lol....
Your work is cut for you, but it will pay off. Great video again :)
You got that right!
Very good lesson. For better integration: Your right arm and/or grip is too tense at the very beginning(!) of the takeback/turn out of the ready position. Try to use your left arm/hand a bit more here. These are nuances at this level of skill, since it is your style and you still have to be able to move your legs with confidence. But learn to move with this slightly changed tension first as it triggers and favours the rest he told you. You can rewatch the session and focus on the good shots where exactly a bit of what i mean happened.
Congratulations Felix!
Patrick is a great coach!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🎾🎾🎾🎾
Thank you
Hey, at the linked website below, there are these nutrients, … So if I go to the ingredients of “Good Green Vitality”, there is 4000%RI^ of Vitamin B12. I just wonder, if that is any problem or even what that means?
Your backhand stroke looks quite smooth. I am surprised Patrick did not tell you to stop backing up. When you back up, often your weight is falling backwards, your contact is above the shoulder, and you are losing court position - all bad things. I know holding your position is tougher but that is how you take time away from your opponents and create better angles - very good things. If you practice taking the ball on the rise every day, you will get very comfortable doing it. Best wishes.
13:00 he did mention it like he wants him to really go through a shot and let the racket flow
Bro i always wondered what these super coaches normally charge. Can u tell me?
i love u felix omg
Hello Felix! Regarding your backhand slice: try a slightly more closed grip and move more through (forward) the ball (not too much downwards).
On contact your ball will come out more solid/aggressive/lower and definitely not float. Give it a try! :)
Ps: I am a former national coach at a European federation with over 25 years experience working with pros.
Ps: this is my son's channel! :)
maybe it's the racquet too, the racquet can be responsible sometimes for the success or not of the strokes!
Patrick is a better coach than he is a tennis player, and he's a very good tennis player.
I love tennis clash tho i havent been able to get past JUNIOR III
Our head weighs about 10% of our overall body weight. What we do with our head mid-shot massively influences mechanics and the ball's trajectory...
