It is so nice to have you back. Maisie is so gorgeous and she appears to be interested in your orchids. All your orchids seem to enjoy their new home. All those blooms amazing. Even though you stated that you have not been all that active with the orchids they all seem to have done better and blessing you with lots of blooms and spikes. These orchids seem to say that they don't mind being left alone at times. Enjoy your coming summer and blessings to you and your family
So wonderful to see you back. Your little one is getting used to love orchids,. I love her glasses!!! Orchids always benefit from a bit of neglect, they are looking gorgeous ❤️
Finally, indeed! Both for the shade house and to see you pop up in the nogificayions again 🤗 will come back later when I have coffee but I wanted to say hi, before my comment gets lots in the avalanche ❤❤
Well hello there Dee and your dear little Maisie. Your shade house is great and I'm looking forward to seeing you moving more orchids into the space. 🤸🎉
Am I correct that your shade house is a metal grid frame with a shade cloth cover, so breezes are able to move freely through? Most of the plants look quite good considering they aren't getting doted on.
100%. Galvanised metal frame with 70% shade cloth. We get the eastern sea breezes through our back yard so flows through the shade house. The fencing around 2 sides does shield it somewhat from really strong winds.
Great looking shade house! Where did you get design plans for that? I’d like to build something similar here in Texas. Also, I’m glad you’re able to make videos again! I know that first year with a first born is exhausting! Glad you were able to keep up the hobby.
Nice tour Deanna! And Little Miss is absolutely adorable. Do what you can until she gets old enough to “help” Til then we will see when you get time to record. ❤️🌸
So pleased to see you back again. Maisie has grown so much and is gorgeous. Orchids are looking good and don't seem to be bothered about you not giving them all your time. Could be that's the answer.
Welcome back Dee. Great to see your orchids are doing well and you are teaching little Maisie the finer points on how to grow them. What percentage shade cloth do you have on your orchid house? We just had a taste of summer here in Nth Qld and tomorrow is forecast to be 36c. I fear Brisbane wont be too far behind in temperature soon.
Finally, a fellow Aussie on UA-cam talking all about my favourite topic. It’s great because I hope to be able to get some more local information. Happy that I found you, and good luck with managing your gorgeous baby and orchids.
My yard does get quite windy at times, we get all the eastern wind. The shadehouse is pretty protected by the fence being though. The maker of the shade house assured me it was over 300kg so wouldn’t blow away 😂
Still catching up watching your videos. The ‘Fame’ den. nobile type looks identical to my ‘fame’ den. sweetheart x beautiful egg. Hope that helps identify it.
Tag tips. 1. Tie the tags to the orchids. Buy regular tags, cut them into two or three segments. Stack 15 or 20 of those segments and drill a hole through the stack. 2. Do not use the fake Chinese green wire rolls. Their wire is not copper and will rot with time and you will lose the tag again. Either peel an old electric cable or buy a roll of really thin copper wire. 3. Do not use markers to write on the tags. Use a pencil with lead 2B to 6B. Graphite is forever like diamonds. It will not fade. I have lost an untold amount of money due to lost tags.
Missed you. 🤗 happy to see you two! Thank you for the tour.

Haha.. I read that first sentence to the tune of ‘Barbie Girl’ in my head 😂. Could be my theme song!
Very nice shade house for orchids! And spacious.. Is it windy inside in case of a strong wind?
