I visited Bergenfield July'85. Travelled all the way from Scotland and spent 3 amazing weeks living with my aunt, uncle and cousins on West Broad St. Very fond memories and I'm astonished to find a video from the very year I was there.

What a great video brings back a lot of great memories. It's funny back in the day everyone knew each other now you walk down the avenue and complete strangers. So glad Tony and his son decided to film this.

This is when cameras were used for fun and not surveillance like today. Can't stand cameras anymore personally. Awesome video. The 80's we're great.

Great video. I grew up in dumont after we moved from Englewood after I graduated from dwight morrow high school in 1973. Lived on delong ave a few short blocks from DeAngelos garden center. Did a lot of cruising in my 1965 GTO up and down washington ave and hung out with a lot of my hot rod buddy's in Foster village on saturday nights. Brought back a lot of great memories. Thanks for sharing.

Moved to Bergenfield from England in 1954...
Brings back memories! The last Christmas with my Grandfather. He used to live down the block from The Defeo's. We moved in the next year 1986. July 4th. Defeo Landscaping, Thiesens, Wolfs, Dennings, Nobles, Wagners, Borainious?, Milanos, Psathis, Westby (on the cross street). PM me.

My grandparents lived on Warren St i was over every weekend, Jack N Box was next door....County Discount Toy store HL Greens and Collectors world with my cousin running to Mandee, mom got married in the church,...greatest times of my life were on Washington Ave

Isn't DeFeo the same last name that was involved in the Amityville Horror Ronnie DeFeo (btw no offense, I was just curious)
