Relatives found the child with a broken collarbone in the street and took the 3-year-old girl to a children's home shortly thereafter. Finally, there she found love... from Irina Ponik, who worked as a massage therapist and treated children from the orphanage. Irina Ponik and her daughter Nastya fell in love with Diana. Taking a child into the family was of course not easy for Irina ... Of course, taking a child into the family was not easy for Irina but she became her 'mother' when Diana was 5 years. Diana now lives in a poor but loving family. Diana spoke badly but sang all the songs from cartoons. She is looking for sponsors because flights are expensive and took extra sewing courses. Since then she's been sewing all of Diana's stage costumes, because all of these things consume the family budget. She accompanies her daughter on trips and captures her life in photos and videos with the persistence of a visionary. After winning a competition in Moscow, Diana's mother was offered to leave the girl in a boarding school for gifted children. She refused and in 2012 moved with her small family to her hometown of Toglyatti, much closer to Moscow. Diana now also has a grandma and has also lost her fear that the woman who gave birth to her would kidnap her. 2013-2015 Diana played in the theater studio of Dmitry Marfin, director of children's programs at the Togliatti Philharmonic Society, whom Diana valued as 'a real workaholic and fan of her craft'. Next day, a huge scandal broke out in social medias. People demanded for Diana's participation in the competition. Diana took part and won. These performances were broadcast nationwide, uploaded to UA-cam and made Diana known worldwide. She now has many millions of fans around the world. The final of the international singing competition for children 'You are Super' took place in the Kremlin Palace. The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote. Diana won a scholarship to the music college. Igor Krutoy gifted her a small apartment in Moscow so that she could begin her vocal training with the best teachers in Moscow such as Professor Olga Donskoy (she died of Covid-19 in October 2020). Good morning from Scotland! Diana singing in an amazing Russian competition "You are Super" for abandoned/disadvantaged children because Diana spent some years in an orphanage. Always fascinating to listen/watch a professional's dissection and opinion/reaction to a world class singer like Diana! You didn't falter with your explanation of her techniques and almost managed to contain your wonderment and delight at Diana's performance! :) In all my 66 years I have listened to practically every kind of singer there is - until I heard young Diana perform this old Chris Isaak hit. Although I recognised the title and the words I have NEVER heard anyone sing them with such vocal techniques and timbre as Diana! I knew right then that Diana was ultra special in the music world, even at 14/15yo she was WAY beyond some seasoned veteran singers abilities, especially where emotions are concerned! As she gets older she is continually experimenting with techniques and languages (Russian, English, French, Spanish, German and Arabic so far!). I hope that when Diana has finished her studies at the prestigious Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) she will consider a world tour and bring these extraordinary abilities to the rest of the world. Great reaction! WARNING! If you analyze Rechenka at the same depth as you did with Wicked Game, you will end up with a 2 hour video. Just sayin'. She was 15 when she sang Wicked Game. If you like stage presence and that tribal sound you should listen to Rechenka (The River) which she sang at 14. It's based on a Russian folksong about a young betrothed orphan girl who goes to the river, the boundary between the living and the dead, to ask her deceased mother's blessing for her marriage. Ironically, Diana herself was an orphan who was abused and abandoned by her alcoholic mother. Because of this beginning her speech was very undeveloped and she was given singing lessons to help improve her speech. Her talents was quickly recognized and the rest is history.

Finally, there she found love... from Irina Ponik, who worked as a massage therapist and treated children from the orphanage. Irina Ponik and her daughter Nastya fell in love with Diana. Taking a child into the family was of course not easy for Irina ... Of course, taking a child into the family was not easy for Irina but she became her 'mother' when Diana was 5 years. Diana now lives in a poor but loving family. Diana spoke badly but sang all the songs from cartoons. An acquaintance of her mother, a musician, noticed that Diana had a perfect pitch and advised her to take singing lessons. So Diana took lessons from the singing teacher Elena Anatolyevna Kazantseva, who discovered Diana's talent. And so it all started ... The Arseniev period lasted from the end of 2008 to September 2012. During this time Diana sang around 40 songs, including at competitions. Diana's mother became her daughter's manager, she found the addresses of music competitions, negotiated with the organizers and selected a repertoire. Everything that has to do with Diana's singing training, performances and competitions is organized and coordinated by her mother Irina Ponik. She is looking for sponsors because flights are expensive and took extra sewing courses. Since then she's been sewing all of Diana's stage costumes, because all of these things consume the family budget. She accompanies her daughter on trips and captures her life in photos and videos with the persistence of a visionary. After winning a competition in Moscow, Diana's mother was offered to leave the girl in a boarding school for gifted children. She refused and in 2012 moved with her small family to her hometown of Toglyatti, much closer to Moscow. Diana now also has a grandma and has also lost her fear that the woman who gave birth to her would kidnap her. 2013-2015 Diana played in the theater studio of Dmitry Marfin, director of children's programs at the Togliatti Philharmonic Society, whom Diana valued as 'a real workaholic and fan of her craft'. After her debut on June 3, 2014 (Diana played Becky Thatcher in the jazz musical 'Tom Sawyer and His Friends'), she met Svetlana Ivanovna Vovk, the director and pop singing teacher at the Togliatti College of Music and Rodion Shchedrin, member of the jury international and national music competitions and Diana's journey continued ... Diana's voice, her perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm were extraordinary even as a little girl and so she impressed with her talent in over 50 national and international competitions. Her confidence grew, her voice continued to develop ... until one day she was asked to compete in more distant competitions so that other children could have a chance to win. So, in 2017 on February she went to Moscow, at the Russian 'The Voice Kids'. Next day, a huge scandal broke out in social medias. People demanded for Diana's participation in the competition. A door had closed but a new door opened: In 2018 and 2019, Moscow hosted the 3rd season of a unique international Competition instead of “You are Super”, which was launched in 2016 specifically for adopted and orphaned children. Diana took part and won. These performances were broadcast nationwide, uploaded to UA-cam and made Diana known worldwide. She now has many millions of fans around the world. The final of the international singing competition for children 'You are Super' took place in the Kremlin Palace. The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote. Diana won a scholarship to the music college. Igor Krutoy gifted her a small apartment in Moscow so that she could begin her vocal training with the best teachers in Moscow such as Professor Olga Donskoy (she died of Covid-19 in October 2020). The break of voice made Diana’s voice darker and deeper. During her vocal break, her voice sometimes went a little crazy. You can hear it in some videos from that time. She has mastered this time very professionally and worked hard to get the lost high notes back and has expanded her vocal range, currently from C3 - D6 ... and it will go on. Her genres are folk-rock, folk-pop, jazz, soul, blues, soldier songs and Diana-stile… tradition meets modernity. She likes to paint and draw so much that we can be glad that she decided to sing… But did you notice that she only ever holds a microphone in her right hand? She loves the French language, but also sings in English and Spanish. 2020 Diana graduated from high school with honors and in September she has become a student at the Russian Institute of Theater Arts (similar to Juilliard). She studies in the specialty "Variety Artist". She is already composing songs and we will definitely hear her own song soon. She will only take part in major competitions if invited. Such competitions require a lot of time, effort and strength. As a result, participants often have large educational gaps and problems later on. Diana is a smart young woman. Good morning from Scotland! Diana singing in an amazing Russian competition "You are Super" for abandoned/disadvantaged children because Diana spent some years in an orphanage. Always fascinating to listen/watch a professional's dissection and opinion/reaction to a world class singer like Diana! You didn't falter with your explanation of her techniques and almost managed to contain your wonderment and delight at Diana's performance! :) In all my 66 years I have listened to practically every kind of singer there is - until I heard young Diana perform this old Chris Isaak hit. Although I recognised the title and the words I have NEVER heard anyone sing them with such vocal techniques and timbre as Diana! I knew right then that Diana was ultra special in the music world, even at 14/15yo she was WAY beyond some seasoned veteran singers abilities, especially where emotions are concerned! As she gets older she is continually experimenting with techniques and languages (Russian, English, French, Spanish, German and Arabic so far!). I hope that when Diana has finished her studies at the prestigious Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) she will consider a world tour and bring these extraordinary abilities to the rest of the world. We will look after her and return her safely Russia, I promise! Great reaction and great explanation Serene! Great reaction! WARNING! If you analyze Rechenka at the same depth as you did with Wicked Game, you will end up with a 2 hour video. Just sayin'.
She was 15 when she sang Wicked Game. If you like stage presence and that tribal sound you should listen to Rechenka (The River) which she sang at 14.
It's based on a Russian folksong about a young betrothed orphan girl who goes to the river, the boundary between the living and the dead, to ask her deceased mother's blessing for her marriage.
Ironically, Diana herself was an orphan who was abused and abandoned by her alcoholic mother. Because of this beginning her speech was very undeveloped and she was given singing lessons to help improve her speech. Her talents was quickly recognized and the rest is history.
