@@AaronRash I saw the secret to breaking down tone and heard About a girl and it was amazing. I never ever in million years thought you would ever mention verse chorus verse. Favourite Nirvana song that is super overlooked.
The question is what song should have been substituted for Verse chorus verse on Nevermind? We all know it should be there if not a damn single for SURE. But what song? I for the life of me can't choose... The obvious is Drain you because of how similar. But that is a HUGE no no.. Drain you should of been a single on its own... So what say you guys?
I know your channel's gonna blow up and all, as it should be, but it's good to know that I was here to your massively underrated, hardworking channel with the coolest looking/sounding tone videos out there when it only got like 7k subs.❤
Hell yes to the impulse pack! Your video where you touched on the G12M-70 was a revelation. Such a bastard in the Celestion lineup, yet it records so well.
The Impulse Responses at Robert Lang studios sounds like a good idea, that alone gave me an ambitious idea that I think will never be finished or published 😂 ps: keep up the good work, your videos have been really good quality (always has been since the start but recently you’ve been crunching it out perfectly)
Man I love your videos! Please make IRs, I'm commenting this on every single one of your videos, but please make IRs of your speakers. They sound amazing, and I would pay for them.
dude i was playing a game and i put on this video, i tabbed into the game and i did not notice the cut from your tone and the original tone, congrats!!!!
I found that song on some russian site like 20 years ago, it really was something special because there was no torrent, yt or whatever, I didn't even knew all the names of the songs. Anyways, well done the tone is spot on.
Tbh, I think you ought to do a Live Stream- connect with your fans. Your journey, is our journey. I may not go out and buy or at all anything you buy to make this happen, but it sure is fun watching you. It seems obsessive at moments, but it is entertaining. A QnA live is just a suggestion. Keep it going! Be Rash!
thought it was a Stratocaster on that song because of the bell like cleans, this video really clears up my doubts, that ac30 sounds absolutely beautiful, so hyped bout the veleno, love the sound of it! great video.
yeah aaron! you should do another q & a, you dedicate yourself to showing us what you learn, and like your students we would to ask questions! love your stuff man keep it up
Yesss! Impulse Responses Pleeease! I've been searching for the right guitar tones for the past months and watched all the recent amp modellers. But I haven't heard the vibe + atmosphere that is in your music for a long time. Thank you for these valuable insights!
Love the vids AMIGO. No bullshit. Your progress in the guitar is through sounds and that's unique, your investigation and experimentation puts in place the term:harmony of the universe. And of course kurt was a fresh air of rock and roll and style specialy now a days with to much perfection.
Aaron I've been watching your videos for quite some time now and I was wondering what you will do after you finish Nirvana tones. I know you said you're burnt out on it, which I totally understand, but do you think you'll make tone recreations for other artists? I love your videos and you have one of the most unique styles on youtube, thanks and keep up the great work!
I can’t wait to see your Mosrite build. The Gospel/mark ii are such a cool body shape. Well I love any Mosrite body shape to be honest lol I was glad to see you talk about Ricky Wilson of the b-52’s last video. I love his blue Mosrite from snl. Pretty cool that Pat Smear played Kurt’s blue mark ii on the same stage years later lol Anyway you nailed the VCV tone Awesome video, keep ‘em coming
Glen Fricker has been trying to tell us guitarist for years now, that tone is from THE SPEAKERS. And we all ignored him until recently, because he was right all along
I really like how these videos are themselves little homages to the whole Nirvana vibe/dare I say.. Mythos.. Nice attention to detail friend! Great videos
Man I really enjoy every video you make! And for the question you made, yes ! Do a longer one answering questions or whatever you want, I like to use UA-cam to learn something, hear some good music and entertainment without endlessly scrolling till I lost 2 hours watched nonsense and fell depressed 😂, so if you want to make 15 20 minutes of video I'm going to watch it all ! Keep going, hope more people see your amazing work, cheers from Argentina
Dude you should start a patreon. I think lots of us would be willing to help you out with getting the means to making your vids. Especially ones of the quality and insight you put out! You could use that to help offset gear costs for vids and projects like the speaker profiling
Aaron, thank you for the vast amount of thought and love you have put into videos related to Kurt, his tone, and gear. Its really nice to see someone still keeping this important moment of music history alive. In '91 I was 16. My friends and I found our music and our zeitgeist in Nevermind. The band rescued rock music for the doldrums of hair metal and non rock that had dominated the charts for several years. Kurt was always somewhat of a mystery back then. Considered a massive hack in the world of guitar players, though obviously a genius songwriter, or at least a super lucky one. I always wondered what would have come in the years following his passing. How dark would he have become as his addiction progressed? What would his renaissance be like if he subsequently kicked the H? What would his collaborations have been like? What unexpected influences would infiltrate his musical mind as his life progressed? Obviously, we can only speculate. But thanks. Thanks for keeping him alive in this most respectable manner. Keep going brother.
I feel the same way about Nirvana. Sometimes it makes me mad that there is such little music to obsess over, it almost makes me feel cheated. When I get burned out I lean into Sonic Youth and the Pixies and obsess over them, theres much more to pull from. These days Radiohead is my current obsession.
Aaron I love your videos, however your music is awe inspiring, when you sometimes put your music into the intro of a video I cant stop but rewinding to listen to it over and over. Please release music! Your talented and would do great! (unless you already do and I just haven't found it 😵💫)
Great video as always. I was wondering if perhaps in the comments, or at the end of the videos if you could give us the opertunity to show us your settings to copy on things like the amp, pedals, and guitar? Love the quality! Especially visibility. Very easy on the eyes! Loving how the aluminum guitar is coming along. Hope to see a deep dive in the build maybe when your done. Could probably just do a montage with the footage you have. Call it the Montage of Neck 😅
Great video once again. It would be really nice if you would make a video about all your guitar stuff, such as all the guitars, speakers, amps, pickups, mics, etc. you have.
If you do anymore live tone recreations I’d love to hear Argentina 1992, and some of my favourites from the nevermind sessions are sappy, lounge act Btw thanks for the great content
Wassup, Aaron! I love your videos so much, keep doing. The description of the mic, you've been used for recording on videos sparked the idea of making this kind of dark-crunchy guitar sound on my own music. It would be really nice, if you explain how you get this tone as final result.
super awesome video as always! you should do a livestream sometime, that way people can ask questions there? just an idea and would be pretty cool to see.
Do another Q&A! In case you do one: Are you planning one releasing music any time soon? I've tried looking to see if you have music up already but I found nothing. I really like the songs you make in your intros. Have a good one
Cool video! Question: are you familiar with the Tonex or NAM (Neural amp modeler) capture platforms? Both of those would be great ways to accurately capture your Nirvana tones and I, personally, would pay money for those as I’m sure most other people who were chasing tones. Tonex and NAM also allow you to include pedals into the chain too which could essentially capture the whole Nirvana sound for certain songs. Anyways love your videos as always and figured I’d throw that out there since i love using both of them for having access to TONS of amazing guitar sounds.
I'm stoked that you're going to release IR packs. I will pick them up. Would you also consider profiling your amps with Neural Amp Modeler, Tonex, etc.?
Hi Aaron. Just found your channel. New subscriber! Great content! You should have way more subscribers! Some of the most useful information I’ve found on UA-cam! 👏👏👏👏
The Jaguar model Kurt Cobain has the body of the jazzmaster. Note the distance between the pickups. Mainly the distance between the neck and neck pickup.
Wow! So many things in this video that are also like me! I’m a lefty that plays right handed, I’m now getting a fascination for aluminium (I’m from the UK, so spell it differently. And….. I’m broke! :( Interesting fact.. I’m from Ipswich - where all the iconic Celestion speakers were made. It blows my mind that the factory is long gone and there are now just houses in its place. We have nothing to show for what that place did to change the sound of music forever. When I was younger I used to work a stones throw from the site of the factory, but because Ipswich is a quiet town and the whole area is known for being meek and modest, we never have, to my knowledge, had a memorial, plaque, sign, or anything to commemorate such a great contribution to modern music. Keep doing what you’re doing. I love the channel. If you ever want to head over to the UK and make a documentary about where these speakers came from, I’d be more than happy to show you around.
thank you man. Please if you ever release the pedals you might be making please make them SOME WHAT affordable for a teen like me. Your so inspiring as a fellow dude living in Seattle inspired by the grey skies.
In one of your videos you talked about the Yamaha SPX 90 Andy Wallace used it all over Nevermind.. can you expand on what you know about it in a video or in a Live Q&A? I own one and Ik the plate reverb and the symphonic are the patches most likely used by Wallace.. Sooo sources and settings is what I’d like you to talk about. I feel like it’s used on more than just bass and guitar. Thanks for the passion and hard work it’s very inspiring.
PS: I would love to see tone recreations from many other classic songs of that time once you’re done with the Nirvana journey, such as Green Day, Weezer, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Offspring, even Silverchair. Just throwing that out there too 😁 I’ve been dreaming of someone capturing those tones with the accuracy you do for your videos so that would be epic 🤞🤞🙏🙏
I want to be the Aaron Rash of the silverchair community 🤣. That is my long-term goal. For now, this guy is doing a good job - ua-cam.com/video/Na6uiKol3bE/v-deo.html
One thing that could be cool after you're done with the nirvana tones, is maybe the foo fighters debut album guitar tone or something like that, its essentially a jcm 800 into...some sort of 4x12, not sure what though.
Hey, this is really cool, don't stop I would like to hear the answers to the questions in a separate video And hear the resurrection - Nirvana, you know that you are right.(I 'm sorry if something is wrong , I don 't speak English , the translator helped me )
AINT NO WAY HE DID ONE OF MY FAVORITE NIRVANA SONGSSSSSSS!!!!!!! THANK YOU MR. RASH!!!!
Mr. Rash sounds like a teacher from a gross out 90s cartoon, I won't even lie
I'm not sure what that means, but ok 😁
DEF THE MOST UNDERRATED NIRVANA SONG !!

Your videos are so amazing! I WILL buy the IR pack, no questions asked.
this tone is so nice
This video also confirms that the Mosrite was the guitar used to record the clean tones on Lithium. Amazing video as always dude!
you NEEEEED to release that impulse response
I’m also a lefty but play guitar right handed. It’s always interesting for me when I find a fellow lefty who plays right handed

Dude... I've watched at least 20 of your vids in the last 12 hours... congrats. Really cool approach. What's your opinion on amp mics?
That aluminum is percussive af. I considered having a neck built by EGC but at the time they didn't offer 30" baritone necks.
A Q&A video would be cool
This guitar tone also is about the same to Old Age so he got both of these amazing airy-sounding bsides amazingly
