Cathy, Agree re #2. Just painful to watch for animal lovers or anyone who has a little respect for the animals. Seriously, those people paid money to visit the zoo and the way they treat the animals was like disposable toys. very sad. :(
***** Cute observation re "2 males, 1 female, and some babies. No one knows who the papa really is XD"! This way, the two males will take care of the babies whole heartedly?! :)
I feel like the male peacock is like "GUYS LOOK I'M BIG AND PRETTY CHECK ME OUT HAHAHA" and the female is like "Frank you're embarrassing me. please stop."
+9037chaparra Oh, peacocks are adorable. Go ahead and take some photos of it but I don't think it is a good idea to touch wildlife as it may scare it too much and they you don't get it to come back to visit you!
+Kempton Lam do you know what I can feed it so it can hang around? I love peacocks they are so pretty and I sure did take pictures of it when it got in my yard.
9037chaparra I tried looking for peafowl at .edu or zoo sites but couldn't find any good info to share. But upon further reflection, I remember our city actually warns us not to feed wild birds for our feeding them will disrupt their natural behaviours (migration patterns, etc). So I say don't feed it and just enjoy it when it visits.
Never forget, the peacock is the male peafowl and the peahen is the female peafowl. I wish the peahen had little golden spots on it's gray feather body to look beautiful and to represent it's body as the stars of the night.
Beautiful!
thank you
Awwwwww, I want a pet Peacock so bad >w
they are quite cute and harmless. And I assure you, zoo visitors (including myself) are quite harmless to the peacocks too.
Peacocks roam our neighborhood in Sunland California

Don't some males (peacocks, humans, etc) act like that sometimes too?! ha ha. :)

there is a male peacock that runs around in our neighborhood and I want to touch it but I'm scared.
