    I've lost 10kg (20 pounds) on keto 2,5 years ago , from 75 to 63/65 kg ( 1,77m tall). It gone rapidly and took just 2,5-3 month. Since then i stay on my weight because i got back my feeling back of hungry and fed. I changed my eating habbits to more fat and vegetables, less sugar or fast food. I do avoid high carb meals or eat less of them ( half Pizza or pasta) and enjoying cooking tasty recipes that you recommend. Always tell people, who ask me how i did this, that they should just start keto with your channel! Thank you very much ❤!

    I have been on a ketogenic diet for about a month now and at first I was not happy with the results. I used to have migraines all the time, it turns out that I was eating the wrong things. By following mealplans (in my case *DynamicKeto* ) I started to understand what I should eat. After a while my hair started to look better and my energy levels are going through the roof!

      I have words of wisdom for those who follow Keto as well. It's Keep Calm and Keto on 😁. I've always said if it works for you that's what matters. I'm not diabetic, I have no auto immune issues so I cannot speak for someone who has seen improvement with Keto. I'm glad you are loving the lifestyle so please, Cheers & Stay Keto! \m/

      @@HKKetoRecipes I don't have diabetes or any other health issues, either. I just prefer to be slim. When you're my age, extra weight makes life more difficult.

      Absolutely, as long as it works for you. For me I've learnt that it's important for me to build more muscle and maintain that as I grow older because I've seen my grandparents age and that lack of muscle really makes it harder for them to do basic things even. So I hope I can be more active and able when I grow older so yeah whatever works to keep you n the best health and shape.

    I ate pretty strict keto for a year and a half or so and lost about 25 kg and I must say I could not have done it without your recipes. I eat carbs now and some days are just junk food days but for the most part I still eat keto meals so I can sneak in some of the delicious fruits I grow. I love your keto butter chicken recipe, I make that often but I use cannabis infused butter :) Also, intermittent fasting is huge! I am not crazy strict on my schedule but I normally go at least 15 hours between feeding times and I try to keep eating time to less than 4 hours. Periodically I will do a longer fast, 1 or 2 days normally, the longest fast I have done was 6 days.
    I think the keto diet is great for people who are diabetic, morbidly obese, have heart disease... to effectively reset their metabolic system. Once the metabolic system is back in check, the weight loss comes naturally and gaining weight isn't as fast as it once was.

    I am NEVER going back to a 'normal' diet. I feel SO much healthier on a very low carb way of eating and have even gravitated towards high fat carnivore. It wasn't until I upped my fats that my hormones healed and the weight just melted off. I can eat as much as I want, calories don't matter, and it is so easy to sustain. I've totally lost my sweet tooth, which is amazing. I can't imagine doing anything else now, I feel so satiated! Blessings to all!

  • @metalhacker83

    All correct but let me just add that not all calories are the same. In the end it's true that to lose weight you need calories out> calories in. But, for example, if you consume a lot of sugar (same calories per gram as proteins) you will gain more weight even just for the cravings and how satiated one can feel. Eating 100g of sugar isn't like eating 100g of proteins. But, calories per calories, they are.

    • @HKKetoRecipes
      @HKKetoRecipes  Рік тому +1

      of course the satiety of all foods varies. You can drink a glass of orange juice made with 6 oranges and you can probably eat just a couple of oranges. eating 100 grams of a twinkie will not satiate you the way 100g of chicken breast does. Absolutely!

    I've come off and each time gained it all back. Part of that was trying my previously consumed delicious favourites just while I was off keto, intending to get back on for the rest of my life. Hasn't quite worked!!

    I tried it for weight loss, i put ON about 2 stone! It's not for me as far as weightloss is concerned. I've managed to loose a stone and a half, just normal food, not ultra processed, lots of fruit and veg. Sustainable, just as you've said.

    • @emilyhops2566

    I don't think anyone who's been keto should go back to being high carb.
    Go low carb and don't eat high and carb meals because weight gain will he harder to avoid.
    Its better to eat high fat foods with protein. And keep high fat with protein.

    Sahil is right in everything he's saying in this video. Ultimately it has to be your own self-discipline and whatever diet and exercise regime helps with that. What helps me is stop thinking of exercise I need to force myself to do, I'm doing it for me, for my benefit, it's as much 'me time' as watching a movie.

    Before insulin was invented, keto was the prescription! Even if you aren't diabetic, if you still use this, it might prevent it!
    My doctor years ago told me to lose a good bit of weight first, to get some weight off my bones, and Then start exercising. That's what i did. I needed to lose about 30 pounds so that it wouldn't be so much stress on my body.. and start SLOWER than you can go.

    I was on the Keto diet for over two years, and I enjoyed all its benefits: weight loss, mental clarity and improved stamina (I ran a marathon, and my fastest half marathon while on Keto). However, I noticed that while all other metrics were good, my LDL cholesterol was off the charts after my bloodwork. I know there is a lot of Keto advocates say that high LDL isn’t a cause for concern, but I decided to play it safe and change my diet. I switched to a regular diet - low on fat, sugars, and simple carbs - and combined it with exercise. While I felt awful for a couple of weeks (a reverse Keto-flu, you could say) I feel better now. I have also been able to maintain my weight and fitness levels.

    increasing your metabolic burn through exercise is going to help you later in life too. It's really hard to build muscle later in life, so making it happen while you can will help you from falls and injuries when you have a much harder time keeping muscle on your body.

    Hey Sahil - I have a quick question for you. I started keto after being inspired by you and your channel about four years ago and lost 17kgs. Really happy with result and other than cholesterol going up (triglycerides were good though) my pre diabetic markers were gone. But my intention was never to stay on keto - rather reach the goal and slowly re-introduce normal/varied eating.
    Downside - gained back 10kgs. So my question is - how is your weight journey going after your dietary change?

    • @HKKetoRecipes
      @HKKetoRecipes  Рік тому +3

      Mine is going alright. I've realized it's a process and it's a long term goal. Losing 10kgs is not hard. Take 10 months. Aim for 1kg a month, weigh out your portions and go for it. Even if it takes 12-14 months to lose that 10kgs no problem. Focus on building muscle if you want to look toned and muscle weight is different. So you might be the same weight but you will look different. At least that is my focus now. Build muscle.

    You really need to research to figure out if its for you. I decided to do it because I found that I was diabetic. I found out this was the best for that. I never thought I would loose 93 lbs with keto and exercise. I have been dieting off and on since my twenties. I'm in my sixties now. I would loose only 50 lbs on low fat. Anyway, I do not eat processed food anymore and I wou!d like to get off keto too. I need to eat better for the inflammation. I feel better when I'm on low carb though. How did you find carnivore. I would like to eat who!e grains again and pasta.
