Thank you for this sublime recording. Heavenly delight; Dancing, singing through the light; Peaceful joys take flight.
Mahler, Maazel ,Israel una triade perfetta.Grazie dal profondo dell'anima.
I love this heavenly symphony. The first movement and the third movement are like a song.
WHAT a conductor !!!!
Sublime.
A fine performance of the venerable Mahler masterwork. A pleasure to both hear and watch.
This wonderful performance is full of Mahler's aesthetics
The thing here I think, is that Maazel ADORES this symphony. Standout performance here just as the recording he did with the Vienna Phil.
ちょうどこの演奏家にいました。その当時普通の演奏だと思っていましたけれど、20年以上経ち改めてみるとやはり素晴らしいです。upしてくれてありがとうございます。
You are most welcome. I was honored to be a part of the performance.
My favoritue movement is the applause
I have listened Maazel to play geige for sonata of C.Franck , when i was on Rome like player of organ on basilica and like teacher for many students.
Der Dirigent Lorin Maazel fasziniert immer wieder. Danke!

Thank you!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Love you...no matter.....lovemy🇦🇮🇧🇪
At 48:25 you see the timpanist using 2 mallet sticks on each of his timpani drums. In his mind,Mahler thought that using 2 mallet sticks on each drum would produce a more louder or forte sound, when in fact it actually produces a more muffled sound . But I must say it does look good !!
I think Mahler would have known what sound using two mallets would produce, being one of the greatest orchestrators, not to mention one of the greatest conductors.
A great piece of work!! 😀
impressive
Love this song's a lot eventhough I cann't understand so sweet & I love to listen love song & mellow music.❤❤❤
It isn’t a song.
It's a genuine, 21 carat top of the shelf Mahler song that can be listened to separately. Also available with piano accompaniment.
I suggest you look up the definition of song.

Maazel is my favorite Mahler conductor. There is competition, but when I hear others, often I feel like this is the conductor's version of the piece. When Maazel conducts, I feel like it is Mahler's version.
You may want to check the Iván Fischer one with the Budapest Festival Orchestra. It has the same kind of lightness.
No4heals and nouriishes the soul
It‘s contrary😅

You are wrong
@@shin-i-chikozima It’s pure cynicism.
That isn't Heather Harper
Really? Sounds and looks like Dame Heather.
Looks nothing like her@@stephenhall3515
とても上質ではありますが起伏が平坦です。
4楽章後半の静かな歌声には驚きました
Definitely influenced by Wagner.
Really? Of all Mahler's symphonies, the fourth bears the least resemblance to Wagner's æsthetic. May I ask what features of this work brought Wagner to mind for you?
No. Absolutely. I love Wagner’s music and this is totally different.
Chill out, Mahler refered to Wagner many times, see Bruno Walter memories... He admired him a lot.
Макрон это чтоли Моцарт под псевдонимом?
...... 😢
