Once more, such a brilliant way of explaining so clearly, what many teachers turn into a sermon. Thanks again Steve.
Thanks Charles. I go by 2 things... KIS (Keep It Simple) and "Don't Bore Us Get To The Chorus" lol.
Thank you very much sir you are a very goog teacher. I am from the Philippines.
Thank you and "Hello Philippines!"
You missed your calling Steve you would be a brilliant college professer
Lol, thanks. I wasn't much for school. When school was out for summer, school was out forever, lol.
Thank you sir.. You Chanel needs more subs!
You're welcome!
By the way , Happy Mothers day to all the ladys in your heart and God bless your home .
Same to you!
Nice presentation - thanks
I noticed that if you want to go to the relative minor you move down 3 frets and play the minor scale. If I'm in C major I move down 3 frets and I play the A minor scale. A major.......down 3 to the F# minor
Correct.
Great video,I've allways wondered myself about the notes that are shared on the strings fretboard I am 60 almost been picking bass since I was 11.you have reinstated my drive to be better! Thanks for the videos.i grew up in a Baptist church I played bass for the congregation we are a southern gospel singing church!!
That's a great place to learn. I bet you had a lot of great voices there. It's good that you have reinstated drive too. If you get yourself a band you'll have fun, with the right players of course.
Thanks for long answer. I will stay tuned.
Thanks steve all information is precious.
love that little bass, where did you get it and where can i get one lol..
That's a 36" Glarry they sent me to check out. Here's the review I did: ua-cam.com/video/8OltLr9VGRc/v-deo.html
Great question and answer, I’ve had trouble freestyling cause I’m not always sure where to go on the fretboard that would sound good. I learned in order to be comfortable to master at least a few scales. This helps! Thank you
You're welcome Al. If you like to improv knowing your modes will help. Easy stuff.
Dude👍

Hey Ayden thanks for the comment. Tell your Dad we'll talk soon.
Excellent episode. Top shelf.
Thanks!
awesome, brother!
Thanks!
This is very good, thanks.
Thank you too!
How much do you charge for lessons?
Thanks! Not Brooklyn, but you're hearing the NY Long Island accent. That's where I grew up. Good ears. Living in the South now for the time being.
$20 for 45 minutes. Before lessons though, suck up as much of the basics as you can through the videos... where the notes are, basic hand coordination, etc.
@@stevekonbass ok. Thank you. I live in Southwest Virginia. I have to work on finger strength as well.
I can help ya with that. Just keep practicing that C major scale in the first lesson I did and use the fingering I used (start on 8th fret E string). Playing that scale gives you a nice stretch and will eventually get your fret hand comfortable. Once you're comfortable with that, play an A major scale and then a G major scale. Finger strength will come along. ua-cam.com/video/1J1EwJ5JpQE/v-deo.html
@@stevekonbass thank you for this
