I agree. They dont want you to leave! He may be aware of predators outside of fencing, since he can smell them but cant get to them when the gate is closed. Dogs are such opportunists. They will lay in wait forever, pretending to be napping, until we get up & leave the room. Then they grab that sandwich or snack you left unguarded for a minute!
I was going to comment THIS EXACT SAME THING that Mojo was running AFTER Kevin and was not trying to run away. Animals and ESPECIALLY Dogs can sense when there's anything's gonna happen, like storms like tornadoes or hurricanes, or if you live some places in the country where they happen (not that they can't happen anywhere but they're not applicable in this certain situation) earthquakes.
I am so surprised that Mojo ran out of the gate, but I am also so glad that Mojo came back and he was not harmed. It was sweet to get the camera sugars from Smeegle. I'm glad you all got a new washing machine. Sorry you went through that hassle with Lowes. I live in California. Our rainy season is during the winter and early spring, so we don't have rain right now. There have been parts of the state having wildfires, but there haven't been any near to where I live.
In Southern Utah…. 3 digit temps and rain today! The rain is warm and with Greg rain.. it is muggy and sticky!! High was 107… a reprieve from last week!!
We have 2 places in the lower peninsula of Michigan. About 3.5 hours apart. Our lawn nearer to the Ohio border is lush and green. Our property closer to the tip of the mitten, grass is crunchy and mottled brown. Still some parches of green here and there but more crunchy areas than green. Stay safe everyone. The heat here is 10-15 degrees higher than normal. No where near Texas heat but for us it’s hot.

Greetings from Victoria Canada! We are having a heat wave. I’m avoiding the kitchen as much as possible because it’s around 30C so I get heat exhaustion if I’m in there too long. I live in a three level townhouse with the kitchen and living room on the middle level. I spend all my time on the lower level where it is a lot cooler. Kevin, Could you feed Mojo on the porch when times like this?? Also, there are organic supplements at pet shops that take the edge off dogs during storms and fireworks. You may want to check that out if you or Rachel haven't already. I've seen them given to dogs on another channel and she researches on internet before recommending products. We had rain beginning on the morning of July 4th here in the Virginia mountains. I was unaware that we had rain coming, but it worked out great to keep all of the fireworks safer in our dry grass and pine/hickory forests here. We were thankful! ❤😊
We live in New York state where we had 6 confirmed tornadoes on the 10th, in the West and Central area of the state. We were under many, many tornado warnings. Never had anything like it in this state. Got pretty scary and I was at the point where I almost started to rip out the contents of an inner closet, to take shelter in. Luckily we ended up being okay, but I'm in no hurry to have a repeat scenario. So glad Mojo returned.

Hello. I live in the Houston area in a city just south of Houston proper. I am still without power; but blessed because I have hot and cold water to shower in, and a gas stove so I can prepare food. Doubly blessed because my home and property had very little damage. Hope you and your family weather the Hurricane Beryl storms well, without any damage to your animals or property. The first 4 days following Beryl's hitting Houston, I had to sleep in my SUV with my 1-yr. old cat, Puddin' because the temperature in my house was 89° ... hot! Luckily, my good neighbors noticed, and generously offered to share their generator with me, along with a small window a/c unit. Tonight I am sleeping in my on bed! I give thanks to Him for my good neighbors and supplying things I need.

You are experiencing heavy rain like we have here in the UK. You do not have much of a predator problem if your chicken sits on their eggs in the open like they do, I had a duck that laid her eggs in the hedge at night the fox would have eaten them. Glad Mojo is home and safe. My 2 GP’s don’t like the thunder, fireworks either. The Hurricane dropped a lot of rain in Missouri also. Lord knows we needed it. Luckily it wasn’t a gully washer. Just steady rain for several days. Ground is saturated and now it’s run off

Hi Kevin We don’t get storms like you get there. We don’t get the summers either. We certainly get more rain than you do there . I don’t blame the dog for coming out in the rain. I had a Staffordshire Bull terrier and he was terrified of the rain. It was a pain in the butt when he wanted to potty as I went out with an umbrella so he would not get wet 24:39 . I am near Fort Worth Texas. We didn't get much rain from Beryl (btw by the time it gets to OK it's only a tropical storm or even a tropical depression) but I think we would have been in the first stages of drought if we hadn't had all that rain the month before. Glad Mojo was waiting on you.
Living in Florida we’re used to hurricanes. Look at mojo’s breathing. He’s very nervous. We’re in a major city but always watch the animals as a storm approaches especially our dog. They feel things before us. Stay safe & enjoy the weather.
I have invisible fencing for my LGD. But every now and again she braves the fence and decides to have an adventure. Luckily no big hwys near my place and we have a community grape vine chat space. Usually if we see a dog or any other animal out we post it up in the chat Doesn't take long. The furthest my girl has wandered was 8km. With spotters letting me know every step of the way till i found her. Who needs GPS trackers 😂 So glad Mojo made it back home safely.❤

Poor Mojo. He was scared or the wind was blowing coyote scent right into your yard and surrounding area and mojo was trying to protect you all. Animals do crazy things out of fear especially if they are afraid of storms. I live in Florida and I’ve been in or near my share of hurricanes and tropical storms and if you are not too close to the center/eye of a hurricane or TS you will get the rain bands. If you are not in a flood prone area you will get squalls where the rain will come up suddenly as the rain band hits your area and you will have heavy rains, some wind, up to about 70 mph, and occasional thunder and lightning. When hurricane Ian hit Florida a couple years ago I live about 100 miles north of where it hit. Just about the whole state was affected . I live on the top floor of a 4 story apt bldg and the squalls we got with the rain bands were pretty loud. But I’m used to it so I just smiled. But you not living in Florida, I can understand how that would affect your family and animals and how concerned or scared you all would be. Thinking of you all and your safety. Keep safe and dry. 🙏.
We live in the Houston area. Wind was very bad, and we got 5 inches of rain. We just got power back today, Sat. the 13th at noon. Many are still out of power. Hot, humid and feels like index is in the 100s. Hospitals are full because people can't get to their normal Dr. visits like dialysis. I hope you don't get the wind like we did. God bless!
I am glad your farm and family are o.k. We are having very hot temperatures and no rain for weeks now. We even got some strong winds one night and we are in Oregon, near Portland, on the west coast. Dogs always do what they are not supposed to do, when they don't think anyone is looking. My dog was not allowed on the couch. He would always hop off when my car pulled in to the driveway.
Thank god mr mojo come back. I think he may of smelt something and doing his job he was marking his home telling all animals dont come here. Sending love to all the family

We have to use livestock hot wire to keep our Yeti on our property. At 9 months when we rescued him he could leap our nearly 5 foot fencing while standing still. He got out two times that first week, each time we chased him over 1 & 1/2 miles down the main paved road (country) onto neighboring wooded land. We KNOW for a fact if we didn’t catch him immediately he was long gone! We got him from another state and he had no idea where he was. After chasing him through someone’s yard (heavily wooded) where they were grilling dinner up on their back deck….the man tried to lure him using grilled hotdogs. It was embarrassing..🤦♀️ I finally corralled him where someone had a large motor home in their long driveway, with a chain link around the area. Once he walked through the fencing gate he walked back to see me….like “Why are you chasing me??” Dufuss!! I had bailed out of my truck to give chase and left it on the side of a gravel road still running…hubs and I chased him for almost 2 hours….Stay home Mojo!! We Pyr owners know the deal! Our other Pyr Honey is very obedient and is safe with us off leash. Our gates were left open the whole time we gave chase, Honey was laying by our front porch in the grass when we got home…😮❤
You should pull all mama's with new babies in the tent cage until the babies are big enough so the don't get picked off and the mama don't run away with them and put them in danger. Yes, we are in drought Southern Mn.

Hey Kev. I am in East Lansing Michigan. We had a bit of a drought up until about 4 days ago. It rained HARD for about 18 hours, and that is very here. But it was much needed. Our grass was getting crunchy. At least the mosquitoes weren't too bad until 2 days after the rain. Now they are relentless! Just sprayed everything with Wondercide, so hopefully, that will keep them away for awhile!

You are experiencing heavy rain like we have here in the UK. You do not have much of a predator problem if your chicken sits on their eggs in the open like they do, I had a duck that laid her eggs in the hedge at night the fox would have eaten them. The Hurricane dropped a lot of rain in Missouri also. Lord knows we needed it. Luckily it wasn’t a gully washer. Just steady rain for several days. Ground is saturated and now it’s run off

Animals sense these things .Those rains are called bands it's the outer part of the hurricane, barometric pressure changes. I'm in Florida grew up on the Gulf of Mexico side Stay safe

We don’t get storms like you get there. We don’t get the summers either. We certainly get more rain than you do there . I don’t blame the dog for coming out in the rain. I had a Staffordshire Bull terrier and he was terrified of the rain. It was a pain in the butt when he wanted to potty as I went out with an umbrella so he would not get wet 24:39 . He still used to be dried off with a towel. Even his feet. He hated being wet lol

I’m from Southern California we are dealing with unusual hot temperatures . We are finally out of the drought due to the past 2 years of an over abundance of rain, however, now we are dealing with our fire seasons. I enjoy watching you all, gives me inspiration for my own home stead. I also watch keeping it Dutch and Eddy family farm, enjoy them all.

I am near Fort Worth Texas. We didn't get much rain from Beryl (btw by the time it gets to OK it's only a tropical storm or even a tropical depression) but I think we would have been in the first stages of drought if we hadn't had all that rain the month before. Glad Mojo was waiting on you.
Living in Florida we’re used to hurricanes. Look at mojo’s breathing. He’s very nervous. We’re in a major city but always watch the animals as a storm approaches especially our dog. They feel things before us. Stay safe & enjoy the weather.

I have invisible fencing for my LGD. But every now and again she braves the fence and decides to have an adventure. Luckily no big hwys near my place and we have a community grape vine chat space. Usually if we see a dog or any other animal out we post it up in the chat

The furthest my girl has wandered was 8km. With spotters letting me know every step of the way till i found her. Who needs GPS trackers 😂

He probably was feeling scared with the change of the atmosphere and wanted to stay with you. That is what he was doing, following you. Mojo knew more about what was coming then you did. LOL

Poor Mojo. He was scared or the wind was blowing coyote scent right into your yard and surrounding area and mojo was trying to protect you all. Animals do crazy things out of fear especially if they are afraid of storms. I live in Florida and I’ve been in or near my share of hurricanes and tropical storms and if you are not too close to the center/eye of a hurricane or TS you will get the rain bands. If you are not in a flood prone area you will get squalls where the rain will come up suddenly as the rain band hits your area and you will have heavy rains, some wind, up to about 70 mph, and occasional thunder and lightning. When hurricane Ian hit Florida a couple years ago I live about 100 miles north of where it hit. Just about the whole state was affected . I live on the top floor of a 4 story apt bldg and the squalls we got with the rain bands were pretty loud. But I’m used to it so I just smiled. But you not living in Florida, I can understand how that would affect your family and animals and how concerned or scared you all would be. Thinking of you all and your safety. Keep safe and dry. 🙏.
We live in the Houston area. Wind was very bad, and we got 5 inches of rain. We just got power back today, Sat. the 13th at noon. Many are still out of power. Hot, humid and feels like index is in the 100s. Hospitals are full because people can't get to their normal Dr. visits like dialysis. I hope you don't get the wind like we did. God bless!

I am glad your farm and family are o.k. We are having very hot temperatures and no rain for weeks now. We even got some strong winds one night and we are in Oregon, near Portland, on the west coast. Dogs always do what they are not supposed to do, when they don't think anyone is looking. My dog was not allowed on the couch. He would always hop off when my car pulled in to the driveway.

We have to use livestock hot wire to keep our Yeti on our property. At 9 months when we rescued him he could leap our nearly 5 foot fencing while standing still. He got out two times that first week, each time we chased him over 1 & 1/2 miles down the main paved road (country) onto neighboring wooded land. We KNOW for a fact if we didn’t catch him immediately he was long gone! We got him from another state and he had no idea where he was. After chasing him through someone’s yard (heavily wooded) where they were grilling dinner up on their back deck….the man tried to lure him using grilled hotdogs. It was embarrassing..🤦♀️ I finally corralled him where someone had a large motor home in their long driveway, with a chain link around the area. Once he walked through the fencing gate he walked back to see me….like “Why are you chasing me??” Dufuss!! I had bailed out of my truck to give chase and left it on the side of a gravel road still running…hubs and I chased him for almost 2 hours….Stay home Mojo!! We Pyr owners know the deal! Our other Pyr Honey is very obedient and is safe with us off leash. Our gates were left open the whole time we gave chase, Honey was laying by our front porch in the grass when we got home…😮❤
You should pull all mama's with new babies in the tent cage until the babies are big enough so the don't get picked off and the mama don't run away with them and put them in danger.

It might be wise, to double check your rear view mirror, to make sure the gate is closed and no Mojo on wrong side of it.

Hey Kev. I am in East Lansing Michigan. We had a bit of a drought up until about 4 days ago. It rained HARD for about 18 hours, and that is very here. But it was much needed. Our grass was getting crunchy. At least the mosquitoes weren't too bad until 2 days after the rain. Now they are relentless! Just sprayed everything with Wondercide, so hopefully, that will keep them away for awhile!
