They are around ten weeks old when put in the release pen and trickled out over a few weeks, if a pair of wild adults turn up around the pen when they are being released I let the lot out in one go as the adult birds will adopt them and will make a good job of looking after them
give them time to accustom themselves to the area/pen and then trickle them out of the pen a few at a time just a few each day when they are mostly hanging around the outside let them all go try to pick a quiet place with good cover on the edge of an open field

What happens if you are reintroducing them and have no older partridge in the area what's the best way to release them ?
