Fantastic tip regarding matching the shape of the leather to the hardware AND the way you prepared the leather before you started was excellent as well!

Add a little oil to your C.S. Osborne punch, it will thank you. I’ve never heard of PVD Rivets. Thanks for good video.

The buckle guy sponsorship is strong with this one!! 😂 every video is an infomercial. Nice quick project for those left over pieces of leather

I’ve been thinking about getting a new BG press. Do you know who makes a oblong 5/32” punch for belt ends that works in a press? Keep up the awesome videos.

Raw brass or laquer coated? Seems they carry very few raw brass items that would patina over time.

I don't know whether they are lacquer coated or not but if you like raw brass I have had success removing it by letting it sit in acetone for a few minutes and then wiping it off.

Great opportunity to ask: what substitute to Tonokonole do you suggest? It can be a natural product too, its not necessary to be a industrial product.... something to burnish the edges but to use.on the back of the peaces, too...

In other videos they have been the more expensive Weaver ones. They are sponsored by buckleguy now so probably theirs now 😎

Almost like this channel is meant to provide instructions and help to beginners.

Yawn. You’ve made a couple of comments on this channel and they have only been negative.
These movies are must watch for a huge amount of people starting up in the trade myself included. Eric is a huge inspiration and devotes an enormous amount of time to promoting leathercraft. It’s negative people like you that turn people off from trying and then everyone suffers.

reviewing a new piece of hardware that's hit the market for more advanced crafters, showing the nuanced litle steps to making a properly laid out keychain for beginners. Gotta straddle that line in some videos, we've got almost 300 tutorials ranging from beginner to expert if you'd like to search our back catalogue :)

@@Corter Let me try it this way. As a seasoned leather crafter and seller you only have so many hours in a week to work. What can you earn as a business person per hour making small inexpensive leather goods, such as key chains and wallets? I can make a pair of custom cowboy boots in 40 hours that sell for $2000.00, in 80 hours I can build a custom western saddle for $6000.00. You are experienced enough to start learning how to make more complicated, expensive, and valuable leather goods. Expand your business. Leave it to your apprentices to make the small stuff. Now, I’m not a UA-cam creator, maybe you make decent money teaching leather craft in these videos, I don’t know. But in between beginner videos make something difficult, stretch yourself, show us your talent. As far as criticism, I can only think of two other comments I’ve made on this channel, one was about your choice to export your mailing to a third party. Ok, your business model. But, I like your work. Take care.
