I've probably been watching Brutalmoose for about seven years now, and I have to say, this review may just be the quintessential Brutalmoose experience. Though perhaps not as grand as Televoid or food ranking videos, it serves as a beautiful combination of old and new. The editing and visual absurdity of modern Brutalmoose is merited beautifully with the ovcasionally edgy, cynical, jokes that I think was the hallmark of its channel in the early days. Combined with the relatively grounded nature of Ian's narration that I think has been present throughout, it really is a surreal experience to say the least.

Seeing an actual game review is a breath of fresh air. Props to Ian for branching out and doing new things. I do like those Mystery Tapes videos. But a game review is something that has been missing for a while. Hopefully there's more to come
I love the idea of putting the early Cynical Ian Brand into the GamerGuy1991 persona to preserve the appeal of that old style while still leaving room for 2020s Ian to change things up as needed. Whether this is meant to be the return of game reviews on the channel in general, or just a one-off trip down memory lane, it's really fun either way!

Couldn’t tell you how happy I was to see this in my feed! I was surprised you had such issues with lag. I’ve played Pajama Sam on a number of computers over the years and have never had an issue. Playing without the lag might have improved the experience… but this is still by far the weakest of the games, mainly due to losing Pamela Adlon as the voice of Sam and every playthrough being exactly the same.

This takes me back to the days of packing up my sophomore college dorm room the night before move-out back in 2015 (oh no that was 7 years ago), where I just put on the playlist of all of Ian's video game videos and watched them all night long while I packed. Good times, good times.
I first watched Ian's videos in 2016 during an extended hospital stay, and seeing another video on an adventure game is the third biggest BrutalMoose blast from the past there could been (second being a 24 hour stream of Garfield: Attack of the Mutant Lasagna, first being new Televoid!)

I cannot believe I have been watching you for almost 10 years now and you’re still consistently my favorite person. I go through so many phases with UA-cam of who im obsessed with for a few months. But I’ve always consistently been watching your videos no matter how chaotic my life is becoming now.
I know that it's become a meme by now to complement it but the effort put into making these videos fit into the VHS era is so comforting and unique, feels good man.
Never thought I'd see the day THIS would happen. Anyway, this is a fair review. Personally I liked the game, though it's hard to deny its shortcomings compared to previous entries, ESPECIALLY in the Voice Acting department (weirdly enough, I do not remember it being laggy on My PC... Maybe it's because I played the Steam version, I dunno) Also I always found it odd that skipping cutscenes was the Enter key rather than the usual Esc.
Honestly, Ian doing a game review with his new style just makes it very unique to me, as a person who primarily came from and watch gaming stuff. I don't know why that didn't occur to me before. Especially since I'm quite certain Ian has done game reviews with his newer style, lol

Honestly, Ian doing a game review with his new style just makes it very unique to me, as a person who primarily came from and watch gaming stuff. I don't know why that didn't occur to me before.
