As you correctly pointed out, these cars usually start in second gear. However, you can also start normally in first gear. To do this, while the car is stationary with the brake pressed, the engine running, and the gear lever in the D position, move the gear lever down to the B position. Then shift back to D, and the next time you start, it will begin in first gear.
Hello there mister. Love your videos.First time commenting. My first exposure to your channel, was your testdrive video of the Lotus Esprit..as i am /was/still am on the lookout for one. On the other hand,i am at heart a Mercedes/Car enthusiast, and i do have my own channel on here :) So these days i am also considering a c126 ,,so im always looking around for new videos about these. Appart from that.....I do have a little comment on one of the things you said...and that is ,you said" It cant really hurt to replace parts..like the distributor cap etc. Actually...the parts quality these days are preeettty poor, and even Bosch parts are in many cases crap..so if older parts are in good condition,or not faulty,,,,putting new parts in,,,might not always be a good idea(Because of the lack of quality control these days)Doing some investigation on which parts are " good to go" parts for these old Mercedes cars...is very wise to do,as there are many parts suppliers that sell you no good parts. So..its just a little tip for you, when going forward purchasing parts. Eitherway, you are welcome to check out my channel aswell :) Greetings from Norway ,Stefan
Put in a lot of love & efforts 🙌🏼 Love them bro , I personally own a CL 500 2010 model facelift to CL 63 with the exhaust system Would love to own one ☝️ of these sec models Let me know if you have one ☝️ for sale please Much love & stay safe and blessed bro 🤝
Bosch plugs are definetly not recommended here. Bosch parts are reaaaallly poor quality these days unfortunatly. The NGK"s are a much better choice imo.
