Lead dioxide / Lead (IV) oxide / misnomer -lead peroxide is a very good oxidising agent used in lab.
It's an important part of the test in qualitative analysis of manganese ion.

I just want to say thank you for making this video.
I used the lead acetate I made following your instructional video on that synthesis. You make the instructions very easy to follow. I now need to work on being neat and tidy. I guess that comes with experience. I'm a little impatient. I am learning that chemistry teaches one patience!
Everything I have made so far takes a lot of time to do, but it is fun. In the end, it turned out well. I now have lead dioxide. Thanks again for another thorough video.

Dioxide and peroxide are two different things. Oxygen has - 2 valence, while peroxide - 1, reason why H2O2 is not dihydrogen dioxide and Na2O2 is sodio peroxide and not dioxide

Lead dioxide is not peroxide ! It doesnt have peroxide ion !

*Too much work. Just add Sodium Citrate as a reducing agent to the lead Acetate! DONE! Filter and you have pure PbO2 powder.*
