    That's a far cry from when I was a derrickman in 1974. Those blocks came up so fast they used to pull your hair up with the suction ( that's when I had hair)

      Yea bro that's there's been alot of changes and adjustments especially in regards to speed

      @@roughneckingandfitness Yep. Double loop almost. 5 1/2 but come on. Taken fun out of it. I remember driller trying to make me miss flying the blocks at me. Must take 2 tours to trip 10k.

      @@raymondlanier1112 Yeah. Made lots of buddies that heard hear from again. Worked from 79-86 until shutdown. Owner of MURCO visited ever rig told us to find another way to make a living. Moved back to Fla and went to college, but drilling rigs was the best education you can get. Still got all my fingers. No one here understands.

    Started in 1973 on a standard Derrick hang your heels spit some Copenhagen and go for it

      @@davidmcalpine2738 i worked for gustafsen rig four back in the 60s then worked on rig one in the 70s and i was the toughest guy on them rigs by far i always fight at the bar

      @@borissibor2638 wrong. This is Don Stevens drilling rig#64 and they got the toughest guys on those rigs so shut ur trap.
