There was no audio for the first 10 minutes, they spent 4 picks including the Steelers on a break, Sean Payton just rambled for 5-10 minutes straight uninterrupted, Bill and Pat constantly talking over each other, and there was absolutely zero reason for them to be live on set. This was by far the worst of the 5 draft spectaculars so stop ball washing.

Hearing Bill Belicheck talk about defenses you can hear how knowledgeable and passionate he still is.

This was the most entertaining draft coverage I've ever seen in my 30+ years of religiously watching the NFL draft. Belichick, Pat and Mad Mel made this so engaging I could not walk away from viewing the entire broadcast. I just starting watching the McAfee show and haven't followed the NFL since 2013...this was just too much fun

I enjoyed the complete absence of masturbatory media tropes taking themselves way too seriously, the overblown spectacle of showing the announcement, interviewing each player & their family & agent, the puff pieces how every player selected is the GOAT.
The football-first approach I watched on the McAfee show, thanks to Bill Belichick, was what I enjoyed. I certainly don't understand the McAfee clown show loyalists, but the Mad Mel Kiper bit was beyond hilarious to someone who has watched the NFL draft for so many years.

Usually the nfl draft coverage is like watching paint dry til your team picks, but I was absolutely fascinated by every minute of this broadcast. Absolute banger of a show. Know some technical difficulties, but still killed it. Bill was amazing, and I can't believe he'll be on the show regularly in the fall. Always hated him as a coach as an opposing team fan but to see his knowledge and personality a little is dope.

You guys should do a follow-up post-draft show with Bill in a couple of weeks so we can get some thoughts from him on winners/losers, etc. after the draft. Maybe he could also go over some highlights of some of the players you weren't able to get to - like Brock Bowers. It was awesome seeing him laughing, joking around, smiling and talking a lot. The real Bill Belichick was on full display.
Yeah, Coach even said to Pat that they should not skip Bowers breakdown. But all the interviews with coaches/GMs and Oz the Mentalist kinda got in the way of it and we never got the chance to hear it

Boys, great work tonight. I’m still at a loss for words that you guys had Coach on for the entire draft. No other show could have pulled this off. He made me smarter and that’s all thanks to the boys! Better yet, he wants to come back for more.
Honestly was the best draft coverage I’ve seen so far. Hilarious at times and coach Belichick fit right in joking around with the guys. And great entertaining knowledge provided by coach Belichick. Well done fellas.

Incredible show! I didn't even border going anywhere else for draft coverage and that was the best decision I made today! Bill Belichick was freaking amazing.....and I say that as a diehard Jets fan. His insight combined with the storytelling made this such an enjoyable experience. I really believe he's found his calling. Great stuff!
You can tell how much of an impact coach belichick has made. Every coach and player they brought on was enamored. You can truly tell bill absolutely thinks Barry sanders is the RB goat. This was amazing and coach absolutely knocked it out of the park.
I'm not old enough to have seen Jim Brown who is almost universally regarded as the best of the modern age, but Barry was the best RB I ever saw. I'd put OJ, Eric Dickerson, Walter Payton, and Adrian Peterson on a top 5 list with him.

Bill was so tired by the end of the draft, he was almost falling asleep standing up. He has given so much to the game, it was amazing to see everyone giving him his flowers. But somehow he has earned even more respect after the show. The boys were appreciating the moment.

Man just having Darius and AJ on the desk with their knowledge is incredible and with Bill it goes over the top. I know Pat has talked about how smart DB is alot on the show but it really shined tonight the guy is super sharp and well spoken. Give DB more air time!

Bill really dissected each player with film full of weaknesses and strength. His knowledge was impeccable and these rookies should feel honored they got put on game for free. No player is “NFL Ready”. The greatest draft show gets better every year.

I was thinking that Bill loves great position players. And Pat and AJ were both great at their respective positions. I think that's part of it and also I get the feeling Bill doesn't like to have his ass kissed and the boys are so clownish and goofy he doesn't feel like they're treating him like some sort of deity or something. I think Bill likes busting balls he's just low key about it.

The draft board should have been closer to Belichick and the PM crew. Towards the end of the draft it became clearer what that draft board means and I started realizing how important it was. That board really made how teams picked starting about half way thru the first day. That visual brought lots of understanding about the chess game going on. Please get that board closer to the announcers so they can use it.
This was the best draft coverage I’ve seen. Insightful without the same ole same ole humdrum. Just football guys talking football. Didn’t have to listen to the player interviews is a bonus and Belichick was awesome. It was nice hearing more then were on to Cincinnati and the obvious knowledge he has and being able to see another side of him

No offense but I'm assuming they probably know a bit more about what their future plans are then we do. None of these teams make these decisions willy-nilly. Whether you agree or not I guarantee a lot of highly paid people all decided together this was the best pick for their team for a reason.

My favorite moment was seeing Bill kinda fanboying for Barry toward the end. When I go to games I feel like a kid again seeing my favorite players. It seemed like for a bit, Bill felt like a kid again talking to Barry. Even though Bill is 17 years older than Barry.

It just different, concise, and much more informative hearing it from you and all though I've played football till my junior year in college, the average fan could understand the way you orated, as a football man and fan, it wad s gift for me to hear you breakdown the draft.
