Great video and info. My problem is at the top end - the brass circular plate is loose and seems to contact the nut when assembling - thus completing the circuit and sounding the horn. How do we keep the nut insulated from the centre wire components ?

Good video! I bought a horn brush from another site and the plastic part of the contact broke off while I installed it. I don't believe there was a spring. I'll have to keep an eye on RFJP for them to be back in stock.

Jay Jenkins there is a lot of junk out there. RFJP strives to not stock junk parts. I hear a respectable manufacturer has them in the works😉👍

@@TeamG503 waiting patiently on the rest of the horn wiring/setup...heh. I haven't found a single video out there that describes much at all about the horn installation and wiring. I bought a horn repair kit, but of course nothing these days really comes with any instructions...and when I hook up my horn it just sounds when I hook up the battery. :) Do your thing, but don't leave me hanging for too long...lol.

Great video as usual. Where can I find the info on installing the brass ring on the steering shaft and how the wire that needs to be soldered is installed?

We haven’t done one yet, however a few folks have asked. Maybe in the future 👍

Thanks for another great video! How did you feed the horn button wire down the center of the steering inner tube and get it to exit out of the hole in the side of the tube above the copper ring? Did you feed a stiff wire backwards in the side hole then up and out of the top? And then use that wire to pull it down and out? How did you figure on the best place to solder the wire to the ring? Do you solder it up high to avoid bumping into the spring contact?

I'm trying to find the next video. You say at the end there's a continuation explaining the wiring. Can you put a link up to that one?

1943 right ? Didn't you have a snap on clamp above the bolt on one on the steering column ? or was that later ? Good video , They definitely took the long way home to get to ground though .

I guess Im kinda randomly asking but do anybody know a good site to watch newly released movies online?

Thanks again for these videos, but no matter how I clean things up, I cannot get work to look as spiffy as yours. I can only imagine the Colonel would have always picked your Jeep over the others to convey the inspecting General on his rounds. Mine? Pulling through mud on the front lines, with lead zinging by. 😬

Does the horn bushing go above the hole in the steering column?
