Looks great off the bat! I would recommend keeping a close eye on it for proper adhesion. For the record, I didn't have a VIN number either. However I do know someone very close to Subaru of Japan who I have known for quite some time, and I paid FULL MSRP.
Did u have rear rolled at all?? my rear are rolled slightly not much tho my front is not rolled… i want these not sure… u ever got the front installed?
What are your wheels specs? I see you bolt on 20mm spacer and sit flush….I’m thinking of getting these kits and cut the guard so it sit flush/tuck without rubbing issues
My brother bought this for his 2015 and the front flares do not fit properly. ( Doesn't sit flush) He ended up having to pick up an 18+ bumper (used). After seeing this on his car, sides and rear, I don't really like the look..
Hey man what do u think ab rear sway bars and end links as an upgrade? Is it rly worth it and is there that much of a difference and what exactly is the difference you feel? Thanks!
I know I'm a year late but if you haven't done it yet. Just get it. I got front and rear sway bars with endlinks and it completely changed the car in a good way. Absolutely no more understeer
Love the build!!! But that CAR on the ribbon rack though… lol. I’m guessing you were a corpsmen? Mad respect to all my devil docs lol.. currently stationed aboard MCRD as a DI and having corpsmen&RPs as network definitely makes our job a little easier lol
Now that your front fenders are distorted at least when you get the front flares on they won’t pop off on a hot lap. Will you be installing the rear bumper cover vents too? I actually put the genuine RA vented bumper cover on my WRX. It’s identical to the S209 and no issues ordering.
Received my olm s209 kit in g1u color and installing it soon as well, just curious as to where do you go to get your car tuned? Great vids and contents
Can you please give me some tips on stock STI RE71R autocross tire pressures? I started with 34psi front 30 rear cold and the front went up to 37.5psi on a hot day. Even so, the fronts are rolling over and the triangle is completely gone (I already have 2.2 front camber form camber bolts) What setup did you run back in your autocross times? (it could be my poor driving style, point it out if so)
It's hard to say. Every track surface is different and ambient temps can play a factor. I start out at 30psi hot and go up or down from there. I don't have a preferred set tire pressure.
@@CarsWithJR That's going to look so sweet, I've been considering trying to make a s209 replica seeing as they where never released in the UK or RHD. Love your content dude!
I was thinking of the same thing tbh, but where I live I definitely prefer having the AWD. However if I lived down south or on the west coast I definitely would be considering the type R.
Dealers want an arm and a leg for a type-r right now. I don’t see it going down much anytime soon. The type-r is great! I miss it. I don’t live in a place where there is a lot of snow so AWD is not a necessity and the type-r performed VERY well at the track.
Looks great man! Still waiting to see if someone can make the front of kit work for 2015s :(
4:02 that hurt 💔
Shouldn’t you be building an engine?? No phone breaks!
Time to get some pro bodywork done and ditch the bolts ✌️the 05 would look even cleaner

Looks good. Nice work on install gives it that look of it always been there. It'll look real good with the front ones and some wheels
JR you always do quality modifications brother. A great video. The STI looks awesome.
Not a fan of the bolt on fender flares myself. These look awesome and I think they're a good addition to the cars. 🔥
Did u have rear rolled at all?? my rear are rolled slightly not much tho my front is not rolled… i want these not sure… u ever got the front installed?
Aye! Welcome to the flare side of things! Keep up the good quality videos
What ever happened with the fronts? Did you get them to fit?
You think I should roll fenders before or after install 🤔
Does the ceramic coating you have on the car interfere with adhesion when installing the flares?
What are your wheels specs? I see you bolt on 20mm spacer and sit flush….I’m thinking of getting these kits and cut the guard so it sit flush/tuck without rubbing issues
mmmmm SEEEEEXXXXYYYYY! So clean! im looking into widebody kits right now myself! This thing is gorgeous tho man! well done!
I was thinking of doing this on my 2015 but they say the kit is spec'ed to a 2018+. Would you say the front bumper/fender would fit on a 2015? Thanks!
Wondering the same
I'm about to order this for my 2017 so I will let you boys know.

Awesome! I was just thinking about getting this kit for my 2018 WRX.
car looks nice i have the same car and it’s the same year as yours it’s a 2015 wrx sti and this inspires me to work on my car as a 18 year old
Wasnt a fan of how the fronts looked when they first came out. But they grew on me

Nice how many quarts of oil u burn per miles ?

Looks awesome! I’m a little late to this Vid but was wondering if anyone knew the fitment you can fit with these flares?

Oh yeah! Everything is on backorder right now. Everything I want, I can't get. 😢
@@CarsWithJR I know the feeling. I had to wait 8 months before Covid to get some suspension parts I wanted.
Whats is your rims and tires setup right now? Cuz im planing to put r19 9.5 et35 with 265/35 tires, but i dont know if its not gonna rub.
I Love my OLM s209 fender flares. Sti is Looking good brotha!!
is it bad to have a VIN if you don't own the car... just for the sake of wanting to buy parts?
I just put these on a few weeks ago. Love it.
What’s your wheel setup and did you roll fenders?
Do these fit the 2017 WRX bumper? I noticed it specifically says 2018+ on subispeed
Received my olm s209 kit in g1u color and installing it soon as well, just curious as to where do you go to get your car tuned? Great vids and contents
Did you install it on your Subie? What’s your Instagram?

Woooo new wheels and tires. Been a minute #lessgooo
if you don't have a vin can't you just look online for ones that are being sold and just use that vin?
Looks good with spacers.
Love the look dude!!
If only Subaru didn’t get their grey I’d have a paint matched set on my STI right now.
Cleanest STI ever.
I want these! Are you going to put the rear wheel vents on?
Yes. The paint matched versions are on backorder.

Your title says 2015+ but the link says 2018-2020? I would like these on my 2015.
I only installed the rear. The rear is compatible for 2015-up.
I knew you were going to send it on the flares 😆
What are your wheel and tire specs??
Looks kinda tuff with just the rear.
Are you going to get the rear bumper or add the rear vents?
Oh yeah! the paint matched versions are on backorder. :(
I’m really thinking ab trading in my 2020 Sti for a new type r what are your thoughts since you drove both
The STi is a more well rounded car and has much more power potential and a larger catalog of mods at your disposal.
I was thinking of the same thing tbh, but where I live I definitely prefer having the AWD. However if I lived down south or on the west coast I definitely would be considering the type R.
@@lucasbenton123 just called some dealers and they want 55k for the civic type r when msrp is 37k which is just stupid

We need a video of just asmr driving
Car looks fire bro 🔥👌
Looks great!
Another solid video, Jay!

Fuck yeah bois 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
What exhaust are you going with this time?
I am looking for an AWE but they seem to be on back order.
@@CarsWithJR - that’s what I’m looking for as well. Black tips - Touring edition :-)
looks good
How much are they!?

I didn't know you were at BIG NW. I would have said hi. but you never show your face.
You have to watch bader’s videos when he was building the engine for him
The mud flaps gotta go💯
.loose the music while u r talking, or turn it way down at least, pls!
How have these held up? I've seen adhesion issues with @streetinspired
No issues so far. They are stuck on there pretty good. The issue would be trying to take them off.
