Hi, if a patient has a history of Atrial Fibrillation and takes Eliquis (anticoagulant) to prevent blood clotting. Will the atrial fibrillation always be perceived on the EKG? Is it a constant condition? Let’s say they have to interrupt their anticoagulant before a surgery, will the preop EKG show us signs of atrial fibrillation? If so, is it considered as normal? Thank you so much!
Is there a resource with all this information on - to go through for the assessment of a patient?
