★ABOUT ME★
Hi! I’m Hanbit, professional pastry chef and CEO of Sugar Lane Baking Academy based in Seoul, Korea. Funny enough, my background had nothing to do with baking - far from it. I studied mathematics at university and then worked in finance, strategy consulting and IT. Then one day in 2018, I quit my job and enrolled at a pastry school. I have loved it ever since!
As my story suggests, I really enjoy being a pastry chef and I am keen to share the joy of baking with as many people as possible. Baking can seem daunting at first but as long as you take it step-by-step anyone can do it - even someone with no baking background like myself managed to become a professional pastry chef!
I'll try my best to include detailed explanations and tips in my recipes so that you will be able to bake amazing desserts. I aim to create videos that can be enjoyed by people at all levels - those who bake for fun as well as those who want to get more serious.

If publishing a physical version in English is too difficult, could you perhaps look into the option for a translated digital version?

I'm visiting South Korea this November and I've been studying Korean for 2 years, would it be possible to buy your book in a bookshop in Seoul or any other city? Even though I'm not fluent yet, I would love to buy your cake book so someday I can read it

It is such a shame that there is no English written versions of your book. Yes I am British but there are so, so many other countries that speak Engish, your books would sell really well. You are a fantastic chef and should really be in the world shop window.

I can't read Korean but still I pre-order this book. I got chef's previuos book and I use application to translate all the recipes into English. It works well and easy to understand though. 😊

También esperaba que hubiese la version en inglés, no entiendo xq si sus recetas son en ingles el libro solo sale en coreano, ojalá considere la traducción para todos aquellos que los seguimos y que nos sería muy util comprarlo en inglés. Otra opcion seria como he visto en otros canales, hacer el libro con los ingredientes en ingles o x idioma y con un enlace a un video donde se ve el paso a paso sin poner las cantidades ya que para eso se tendria que comprar el libro y asi todos los que estamos ansiosos por tener el libro seriamos inmensamente felices.
