I played for a few hundred hours. The way the devs try to force you to spend money is just too much for me. You needed 4 pieces to create a Descendant, now you need 36 each of the same 4 pieces for the new one. Everyone who I know that still plays, just paid for it (the newest Descendant). Fuck that. Way too grindy, and then money ends that grind. A horrible way to design a game (unless that money goes into your bank, then it’s genius).

It depends on your patience, no one is rushing you to finish the game, everything is farmable, you pay if you don't want to farm. +daily farm for Hailey takes 20mns daily if you have decent gear already or 40 mns daily if you are just starting.
Its so warframe alike in that aspect you can get everything for free. Just need patience a good pace, and ofc at the end if you don't like farming don't play games like warframe, first descendant. There are many others

No matter how good the review itself if, the very fact it is sponsored drags it down. Maybe if you are gonna make a comment, you should have some sence to think and understand what I said.
@@clown429 That’s how many sponsorships work though… the company gives an athlete, celebrity, content creator, etc. their product to review (and yes, advertise) in exchange for sponsoring them. This can be a shady thing to do when the one reviewing it only talks about the good parts when there are many bad parts to talk about too. I have yet to play this game, but I already know of some of the ‘bad’ parts of the game. If Sweat only would have praised the game, then maybe you’d be right, but he covered a few of the ‘bad’ parts I already knew about. In the end, it’s a win for both of them, because they get advertisement, and Sweat gets a sponsor from his current most played game

Ive never felt like Ive wasted so much time grinding in a game before….. and I play Path of Exile man.
This gameplay loop is so unrewarding; and rhe content is so fucking easy it actually puts me to sleep.
If i grind I want to see some tangible progress. TFDs gameplay loop is Unlock Bunny and Hailey, and then you grind to grind to grind some more and then grind a little bit more.
For what? What am I grinding for? Because i dont value my time on this earth and just want to pass the seconds until I die?
Once you get your first character built there is literally no point to playing unless you OOPSIE picked a bad character and now have to wait another 70 hours of research to even play the game.
i quit destiny as soon as this game got released and ive been having a blast i cant stop playing it😭😩its more addicting than playing prime Destiny1 and Destiny2 in any era. I'm sitting on 1,056Hours, I'm Mastery Rank 26 n a half on the way to MR 27 since all of us that play the game without a life because who gives a fuck what anyone say we need more stuff to level our MR, collected & Leveled all descendants, Collected-leveled-fully unique ability upgraded all ultimate weapons, and of course last but not least i fully maxed out my main characters to their maximum full damage potential for any scenerio without spending a dime f2p to acquire the characters. Only thing ive spent money on is just cosmetics and xp boosters ONLY. My main characters that i use everyday only are: Ult Lepic, Ult Gley, Ult Bunny, Enzo, Luna, And of course Hailey. Final Thoughsts and verdict after playing 1,000+ Hours in TFD: i love it and its a 10/10 FOR ME ITS MY PERSONAL OPINION and I'M NOT GOING BACK TO D2. I found my new home with TFD very good game. Good seeing you in tfd sweat have fun and enjoy my guy.

It’s a great game. It’s a good looter shooter if you don’t want to play/are burned out on Warframe or Destiny 2. It’s been a very fun game to grind and feels very rewarding once you really I get into it. But once you get everything it’s kinda meh. But that will take a couple hundred hours and those are very well spent IMO. Buying characters is 😴

As someone who is in the endgame, catalysts are FAR more of an issue than activators, you realistically only need bunny to get to the start of endgame which takes one activator however to max a character or weapon out it takes 8 catalysts. I’ve only ever purchased cosmetics so I’m essentially ftp but my daily routine with this game consists of logging on, crafting a catalyst or 2 and logging off until I have enough to build a character or weapon. I have 6 activators stockpiled as they’re very easy to get later on in the game

Having played all 3 games (warframe, destiny, tfd). Just try it out, its f2p and theres 0 harm in trying it. It's not pay to win, some stuff is a slog, but complaints usually get addressed pretty fast. QoL has already gone up drastically compared to launch.
11:05 Just as a correction here. The 207.7% Skill Critical Hit Rate in this screen is not the actual amount of Critical Hit Rate you have right now. It means that you’re increasing by 207.7% the base Skill Crit Rate of the Descendant. Hailey’s base Skill Crit Hit Rate is 5%, so 207.7% of 5% is 10.385%; then this 10.385% gets added to her base for a total of 15.385%.
To expand further, her 3rd skill adds 20% (not sure about this number though) to her base 5%, for a total of 25%; it’s in here where the 207.7% increase in the formula applies (which is 51.925%) and adds that number to her improved 25%, for a total of 76.925% Skill Crit Hit Rate. And all of this is without a reactor that has Skill Crit Hit Rate, which would increase the number even further.
I know it’s kinda confusing because sometimes it’s additive and sometimes it’s multiplicative, and the game often fails to mention how it applies these numbers.
TL;DR: The Skill Critical Hit Rate in this screen does not mean your total hit rate, but how much it increases your Descendant’s base skill crit hit rate.

it's a fun game for me, got all the Ultimate materials in 1 - 2 days and now i am just researching my final Ult as of right now. The story I really didn't pay attention to, the grind is not bad at all, at least for me. I have currently spent 253 hours on this game, mind you i started about three weeks ago. Overall, the game is really fun for me, which is what i want, I want a game to be fun. I stopped playing D2 about 2 1/2 months ago and am so happy to find another game that I can enjoy!

Put 60 hours into the game in the open beta and 70 into full release after maxing a character it got boring pretty fast to repeat that for other characters and I haven’t played for the last 1-2 months. Only real way to tell if it’s worth it is by playing it for a couple days (or more) yourself and seeing how much fun you can have while playing it.

Don’t waste your time playing this game. The whole point is just to unlock characters and weapons there’s nothing else to it.
The best feature in this game is the uninstall button. It’ll stop you from acting like a bot, doing the same mission 200 times just to get a crafting part for a weapon or character.
This game is literally for single, unemployed people with a bit of money.

My review of the game as a 10 year destiny veteran: it’s very fun, very grindy, and there is an inherent price Pay-wall once you reach a certain progression status. And no, I don’t mean for materials or buying descendants, I mean for descendant slots. To get every descendant in the game, you need to spend $10-20 in Caliber to get all the necessary slots (that’s because Nexon has 16 unique descendants and you only get 10 slots at base, so for each new descendant you need to pay 50 caliber, and I believe the $10 bundle is either 500 or 300 caliber I don’t remember bc I haven’t spent money on the game yet.) All of the descendants I have played with (10 of the 16) I have enjoyed their playstyles and builds, tried transcendent mods for them and enjoyed making them unique. But the fucking fun grind/parts for descendants grind is a bit silly for some components. I wouldn’t be as mad about it if there wasn’t a time-gate for both the part AND the final product once you have all the parts. Imo, they either need to drop the full part (in the case of weapon codes or descendant codes/a few select weapons) or once you have all four parts crafted it just gives it to you once you pay the gold for it. This would 1. Make the game more rewarding, and 2. Make it less annoying to have to wait almost 2 days for ultimate descendants to finally craft, after waiting, you guessed it, 2 fucking days for the 3 other parts to craft (not counting how long it took to farm the patterns/codes themselves). But other than that and some other grievances about endgame content rn, I’d say it’s enjoyable and fun to play with friends. Solo is fun too, but tbh not as fun as it should be. If anyone read this, hopefully we can chat some more in the replies :)

Is this more similar to warframe or d2? I played d2 since launch but quit after final shape. I tried getting into warframe but I just kinda struggled with it (I have around 15 hours in but most of it was just running missions with my friend who has 1k+ hours in it) just curious wondering if it’s worth sinking some time into
gameplay its not even close to warframe, feels pretty clunky,slow and not agile at all. lootwise its something between destiny( yes you delete 99%of the drops) no content, only a couble bosses, missions are insanely lame, weapons dont really feel unique, some stand a bit out but weapons are insanely lame so are the frames.

It's an alright game, give it a fair shot to see if you like it. But it is lacking, veeeery lacking in many areas besides character design, especially for the women. Lol. But I'm at the point in the game where I just login to play an invasion(daily) for gold and then logoff. I will say this though, the DEVS are VERY responsive to feedback, they're very unlike other NEXON teams.
