@@davidcassidy602 OMG so many crazy good games. Where to start...Firewall Zero (mindblowing). Farpoint with Aim Controller. Rush (wingsuit game with a sense of height and speed that is awesome). The Persistence, it just goes on and on. This isn't a system that is dying. Oh and Borderlands 2 is AMAZING in VR. The games are just getting better and better. I have more PSVR games on my system now (quality AAA titles) than regular 2d games. Absolutely great now.
In my personal experience "Cockpit"-Games work quite well without Motion sickness. Wipeout Omega worked nice (As long as the tracks weren't too crazy), Dirt Rally too and Eve: Valkyrie also. IMHO speed isn't an issue as these examples show as long it feels "normal". It is how much you have to "trick" your brain. If you are in a game where you move your legs around fast while in reality you sit/stand there instead with your VR on the head I personally have much more issues with motion sickness. So I'm quite positive Ace Combat will work just fine as the examples above did already.
"Hard to portray story in VR" Its called "Theater mode" where its basically sitting in a movie theater in VR so they could just play the cutscenes normally.
I wish they would add a couple more VR missions , as I have played these missions over and over , it’s so awesome and I just wish they would have a couple more missions ! If you own psvr , you should def try the VR missions , as they are some of the best VR experience I’ve had ! Also great video and breakdown of all the VR content 👍
Why no WWII VR plane games? Could include bombing runs, straffing skilled dog fights instead of just your computer locking onto targets and pressing the shoot button.
Thank you for the informative video, really helpful. I am really excited for the game, mainly due to the VR mode but the main game seems like it can be fun too! Im new to Ace Combat so i have no idea what im getting into but that's kinda part of the fun. If there is one question i still wonder is, would i need to play all previous to understand its story? If i find 7's story good, i fear having to go all the way back to PS2 era games just to understand things.. Other than that, im giving out 70 almost blindly trusting that its worth that much and will keep me entertained for a while! Gran Turismo Sport is one of the coolest experiences in VR and Resident Evil 7 is the best, im happy to see more big companies join in on the VR market so, i think regardless of what the game does for me, i will be content with sending my money to people who bet in VR. I have just purchased a PS4 to only play this game in VR. What are the barebone requirements to make the VR work? Does it need to have the camera or will the headsets be enough?
So has anyone noticed that in the second mission in vr in the bottom right hand corner of the map there is a house floating in the sky? Interesting glitch or not???
It basically allows you to turn at a faster rate but you also lose airspeed faster. There are different ways to engage with it in AC7 but one way is by holding both acceleration and deceleration buttons at the same time

@@isn0t42 High G turns are simply faster turns at the cost of speed, as ACF said. What he means by multiple ways to do it is that there are different control schemes you can use to trigger it. One scheme has you use both triggers at the same time while turning, which is the way it was done in AC6. The other is where you simply decelerate while turning. That one is from Ace Combat Infinity. Supermaneuverability has been confirmed for a long time now. It's even been shown off. Look up the "Post-stall Maneuver" teaser trailer which came out in like 2016 or 2017. We don't really know how those are done yet, but we know only aircraft that can do it in real life can do it in the game.
That information is this : PSVR exclusivity agreement with Sony ends one year after release. There is no indication that Project Aces will release VR mode for other platforms.
Keep in mind Resident Evil 7's VR mode was a 1 year PSVR exclusive from January 2017 - but it has still not been ported to PC even though exclusivity expired a year ago! Ace Combat's VR content is also a 1 year exclusive to PSVR, but it may also never be ported over to PC!

It looks like the non-VR Free Flight will have a 30 minute time limit, so I would expect the VR mode to also have a 30 minute time limit. I don’t think there will be hoops or trials, but that’s just a guess.
Wang Meou I believe we will be able to play VR Free Flight as much as we want, but the sessions would last 30 minutes and then return us to the menu (from which we could enter another session). I don’t have any actual facts tho, I’m just guessing based on the older Ace Combat games. I could be completely wrong...

The main campaign (not VR) will be approximately 10 hours, and will have New Game + with higher difficulties. Nothing has been confirmed about co-op, but maybe sempai will notice us if we keep asking for it...

There’s a button which maps to “accel + airbrake”. On the PS2 AC04 flightstick, there was also one button that maps to “left and right rudder simultaneously” to activate autopilot. Source: Tomcat171
The PSVR uses both a HDMI and a USB cable to connect to the PS4, (and the PlayStation camera uses that not-a-USB-port in the back) so there may be a not-enough-USB-ports issue. < doesn’t own a flightstick for PS4... yet
@@davidcassidy602 Oh. Even with your PSVR and Camera plugged in, you still have a USB port left on the front. Don't know if that's enough for a flightstick though.
If we are very lucky, maybe we can use an off-the-shelf 1-to-4 USB port expander dongle to get more USB ports. They’re super cheap, and ought to work unless Sony baked some weird device detection and blocking anti-feature into the PS4 design.
@@Aykun_ I was only asking because I cannot use my PSVR and Playstation Gold wireless headphones at the same time, because the Wireless uses one of the USBs. I know there is a game for PSVR that also uses the flightstick (Ultrawings), so I was wondering if someone with an OG PS4 tried it yet. I know I can use my external harddrive and Flashdrive at the same time as PSVR. However, I don't want to purchase the flightstick until I know that I can use it with PSVR.
If Ace Combat 7 stayed exclusive to PS4 that would have dramatically increased my chances of buying one and a VR setup. But I can save that money for a PC and DCS and a second copy of AC7 on PC.
The VR mode is a timed exclusive for one year. Afterwards, some company must invest the time to port the VR mode to the PC VR systems. So, it’s possible, but not guaranteed by a long shot. Hope springs eternal tho!

I give it a month before someone figures out how to get it to run on oculus or vive once it launches on PC. Kinda sad they didnt have VR support for PC, im guessing some sort of BS exclusivity agreement with Sony. They probably didn't want to downscale the whole game to be able to run on PSVR so you get a sample for VR and the whole game in non VR. Its just too hard to run VR in HD with a graphic intensive game, especially limited to PS4 hardware.

Where did you hear this? I haven’t seen anything about PC VR so far, and in fact there’s official PSVR marketing that claims AC7 is exclusive to PSVR for 1 year.

What if the mission briefings were in VR tho? And if you looked away from the screen for too long, the briefing officer would scold you 😆

The voice actors are different. Which sucks, because Omega 11 was (on PS2) a dead ringer for George Takei.

A rough estimate of 5 hours in a single run assuming you don’t die. No. Probably they will add later on. You do need PS Plus to play online on the PS4

Isn't the OG capable of handling the Flightstick? I don't get your question.
The PSVR uses both a HDMI and a USB cable to connect to the PS4, (and the PlayStation camera uses that not-a-USB-port in the back) so there may be a not-enough-USB-ports issue.

Even with your PSVR and Camera plugged in, you still have a USB port left on the front. Don't know if that's enough for a flightstick though.
If we are very lucky, maybe we can use an off-the-shelf 1-to-4 USB port expander dongle to get more USB ports. They’re super cheap, and ought to work unless Sony baked some weird device detection and blocking anti-feature into the PS4 design.
@@Aykun_ I was only asking because I cannot use my PSVR and Playstation Gold wireless headphones at the same time, because the Wireless uses one of the USBs. I know there is a game for PSVR that also uses the flightstick (Ultrawings), so I was wondering if someone with an OG PS4 tried it yet. I know I can use my external harddrive and Flashdrive at the same time as PSVR. However, I don't want to purchase the flightstick until I know that I can use it with PSVR.
If Ace Combat 7 stayed exclusive to PS4 that would have dramatically increased my chances of buying one and a VR setup. But I can save that money for a PC and DCS and a second copy of AC7 on PC.

Apparently yes, but PC players will play in the regular, non-VR, mode

The VR mode is a timed exclusive for one year. Afterwards, some company must invest the time to port the VR mode to the PC VR systems. So, it’s possible, but not guaranteed by a long shot. Hope springs eternal tho!
RE7's PSVR 1 year exclusivity expired a year ago (i.e. exclusivity period Jan 2017 to Jan 2018) - still no word of that ever coming to PC VR...

I mean they could have made you do a Specific Maneuver/stunt , And Then Be the Spectator like a Replay ?

I give it a month before someone figures out how to get it to run on oculus or vive once it launches on PC. Kinda sad they didnt have VR support for PC, im guessing some sort of BS exclusivity agreement with Sony. They probably didn't want to downscale the whole game to be able to run on PSVR so you get a sample for VR and the whole game in non VR. Its just too hard to run VR in HD with a graphic intensive game, especially limited to PS4 hardware.

Where did you hear this? I haven’t seen anything about PC VR so far, and in fact there’s official PSVR marketing that claims AC7 is exclusive to PSVR for 1 year.
Steam supports VR mode but you need a game that actually has VR mode in it. AC7 isn't in PCVR yet.
Not worth it for the limited vr. We need to stop supporting devs like this that release sub par vr modes.

I don't even think it's worth it if you're looking for the VR only.
@@haveiszalfaroqie1628 That's true, only a few missions. There's still a chance for them to add dlc later on though, you never know. May be worth it in the end but for that to happen, they'll have to add 7 more VR missions IMO lol.

VR mode will actually have 5 missions, not 3. Plus VR mode has been rumored to be 3 hours long, not 45 minutes. Please get your facts correct before making a video.
You’re basing your information on old news (when it was indeed 5 missions), I’ve literally played the finished game and I can confirm it’s 3 missions

The amount of stupidity you are blathering is almost impressive. The 5 missions, 3 hours was a rumour, the devs have since confirmed 3 VR missions at launch.
