Well I did, and ended up with horrible discolouration as well as sensitivity. I didn’t realise that was caused by shaving my teeth when I was little until I saw this video. Scary.
As a dental assistant this was horrifying to me on so many levels. I don't think people realize that once your enamel is gone, its gone! I hope she enjoys the consequences of her stupid actions

The real problem is the obsession over perfection. She said she did it because covid was keeping her away from the dentist. get a nightguard and you can still prevent the grinding if you get crowns in the back teeth to relieve some of the pressure, but nightguard would be the best thing to prevent teeth from breaking

get a nightguard and you can still prevent the grinding if you get crowns in the back teeth to relieve some of the pressure, but nightguard would be the best thing to prevent teeth from breaking

The metal nail file one especially is horrifying but Matt Leblanc did do this to his teeth when he was cast in Friends and couldn't afford a dentist but they wanted him to get his teeth shaped. It worked! And they thought it looked perfect

probably cause when you bite things with the wront tooth, the incisors have enough enamel to prevent the tooth from chipping and breaking and if she filed it off, it shows exactly why things like grinding your teeth or filing them down causes teeth to break. at this point, they will need a crown to protect the tooth structure from breaking and fracturing further
