Glad you enjoyed, City didn't have an answer at all and to be honest, I haven't seen a single side be able to really stop Arsenal at these set pieces. Best in the league at the moment. Thanks for watching!
I really loved your analysis, I think it's great, but my question is that you say Arteta countered Pep, but does he still do the same tactic if Trossard doesn't get sent off? I don't think that Arteta goes 5 at the back in a 11 v 11, and I think arsenal still struggle in the second half to close the channels for silva and gvardiol.
You are right but it's also up to the skill of the players. Gvardiol and Silva still didn't get any passes as they were basically being exchanged between Walker, Dias, Akanji and Kovacic
Thank you! I think he was almost forced into the change but that need made him think differently when approaching the match, having to come up with another solution to make sure his side were resolute and in doing so, countered the pressure that Pep wanted City to apply. The game could well have flown in the same pattern with 11 v 11 but I was still impressed with the flexibility Arteta showed here. Thanks for watching mate! ❤️
This makes a lot of sense, saw this after the game and does add up to why Timber started. I thought Timber did well though, very good aggression when needed and showed good awareness at times. Top defender. How did you rate his performance? Thanks for watching mate!
I strongly disagree that man city was by far an away the better side in the 1st half. They were better but not far an away. First 20 minutes they were superior, bit as indicative of the match momentum according to opta, the first half was balanced a bit as it progressed. Even the 2st half match stats indicated it was tighter than you made it out to be with city having 5 shots to Arsenal's 4 with 2 shots on target. Both had an xg of .6 as well.
Perhaps the entirety of the first half was a bit strong, I just felt they had a grasp for a large part of it. Momentum certainly swung with the Arsenal goals and it would have been very interesting to see what would have happened in the second half without the red card. While the stats of the game obviously don't indicate what I was saying, I feel like the foothold of the game was with City, especially in the early stages of the half (first 25 ish), but with the goals it probably leveled out closer to half time. Thanks for watching mate!

Great Analysis 👌

Thanks for the analysis on the corner. Helps breaks down what was happening because it felt City had no answer when it was repeating corner

Ben white was not 100% fit.
