So we were playing in our game today and myself (Rogue) and our party Bard was having a friendly duel/sparring match with each other. In a town where such things are a cultural custom. Being a Tiefling I cast darkness to try and make it abit more interesting. Having a decent perception I knew where he was and thus threw a dagger in his direction. I casually rolled WITH ADVANTAGE mind.... Double Nat 1.... This dagger flies out of the darkness circle and embeds itself in the chest of an innocent commoner/bystander and kills her..... Total freak accident. But..... Yea jesus....
I remember a moment in my current campaign, I rolled 6 Nat 1’s out of 12 total rolls. It was that kind of night for me. I believe I also rolled double Nat 1’s on one roll. I think I’ve also rolled the most Nat 1’s out of the group lol. But I will say, in clutch moments, I’ve had good rolls so I guess that’s how the universe balances everything lmao
Get yo-self some new dice. Sometimes they are badly mis-weighted. I have a dice that defaults to crits more than any other roll. After realising that, I tested all my dice, tallying the results of hundreds of rolls and seeing if they float in water because of hidden air pockets, etc. Whenever I am DMing, I am sure to use the dice that was the most balanced in all tests. Obviously you can just use Google dice or an app instead to prevent that... a lot quicker than rolling dice a couple of hundred times.
My first and experience i was playing the halfling rogue from the starter set i remember all my friends told me i was gonna roll all mat 20s I ended up rolling like 10 nat ones that night.... I didnt notice till the end of the night that halfling reroll ones...
@Kristopher Chavez The players hand book doesn't specify a limit, only stating that you have to use the new roll, so unless you've played at a table with homebrewed limitations then no halfling luck has no limits.
I'm pretty sure if you were to fall into a river of molten lava you wouldn't actually sink, the liquid rock being heavier than you. You'd most likely float on the surface easily.
I thought, at first, you could cast Feather Fall on the chicken to give yourself a better shot. But Feather Fall has to be cast on a Creature. So, when the servant throws the chicken, you first have to cast Animate Dead. THEN you can cast Feather Fall, and it will be a much easier target!

The video started with breakfast chickens, I already know this will be amazing.
"for dignity's sake"... It's too perfect
Love this vid. Could add Imogen’s Nat 1 after Laudna’s stabbing or Laudna’s corresponding Nat 1 on her last death save from C3 😭
Beau: Do it again, do it again.
And he did.
14:03 is my favourite, he's so excited.
i'm sorry? is that not the shopkeeper from Just Like Heaven rolling at 13:58 ???
The three natural 1s at the carnival game are literally one in a million chances!
It's 1/8000
Three of these should be Fjord trying to lift a sack of grain
This is gonna be so awesome animated
Anyone else expecting these to be all either will Wheaton focused or at least with him in the room?
"What are the chances?!"
Well, about that...
If only she had a ring of fire protection
7:04 "This whole thing's a metaphor for 2017"
Laughs in 2020
Sam just going along with it is the best.
PLEASE keep Sam's arrow hit scream in the animated!
“Easiest number to count to.”
Taliesin's laugh at Travis' nat 1s gives me life. XD
You can add Laudna's 1 to the list. Also, for future DMs, you do not sink in lava. You will bounce off it like hitting concrete. Any fall from height into lava should take falling damage on top of heat.
16:06 Travis.exe has stopped working
You can play a divination wizard and give some of the 1s away.
Great video - crying😂🤣! Forgot some of these!!
My first and experience i was playing the halfling rogue from the starter set i remember all my friends told me i was gonna roll all mat 20s
I ended up rolling like 10 nat ones that night.... I didnt notice till the end of the night that halfling reroll ones...
@Kristopher Chavez The players hand book doesn't specify a limit, only stating that you have to use the new roll, so unless you've played at a table with homebrewed limitations then no halfling luck has no limits.
You can tell that the lava clip was old from the lack of singing after Marisha said "..make my way over".
Travis: “2 shit throws in a row, can’t get any fuckin’ worse.”
Little did he know that it could, in fact, get worse.
I'm pretty sure if you were to fall into a river of molten lava you wouldn't actually sink, the liquid rock being heavier than you. You'd most likely float on the surface easily.
Smash-cut to the end of "The Search for Grog"
u could say she killed 2 "birds' with 1 "stone"
0:22 Taliesin looks like Billy Joe from Green Day with that hair ...very punk rock
well i just fucking rolled a natural one on eating while wathcing this, it fucking fell on the damn carpet
Five most memorable nat 1's and Travis should have 3 of those with his throwing contest
"What are the fucking chances!?"
Well... about 1 in 20
@12:50 Wil Wheaton was driving by the studio.
It's so weird to hear 2017 given as an example of a bad year
