- Come and see the beautiful antiques we found on this week’s estate and garage sale hunt. Due to some technical challenges with the length. I’m going to have to break this into 2 parts. So I’ll leave you on a cliffhanger and part two will be aired next week. :)
This week will be the china/ceramics, glass and metal things we found. Next week, Part 2, will be the wood and paper goodies.

Yes! Isn’t it a clever way to preserve the pottery? Love them…luckily I knew what they were and snatched them up! It was a very busy sale!

Hi Joni, wow! amazing haul. Love the Robert Held vase, you’re the one who introduced me too his work, I really enjoy it. I don’t have Shard boxes, but I do like them, I have necklace pendants I purchased in the 80’s. My other favorite is the Scottish pot, the glaze is silky goodness. I hope the smoke hasn’t been too bad for you, so sad, what a mess. Say hi to mom, you both take care.😘
Hey Cheryl! Will definitely say hi to Mom from you and yes, the pendants are cool too! I adore that pot! It is silky goodness! Good description! Smoke has been bad but it comes and goes. Just devastating to those affected.
Your Aviemore Scottish pottery piece is the organic look of the experimental 1960s. I think that technique used is called a wax-resist drip glaze. To me, That makes each piece a one of a kind unique design. So cool! I guess we would have said Groovy!
Thanks so much Rickey! I am working on the Etsy listing now, so that’s really helpful. Wax resist makes sense because it has that waxy sort of feel.
