That was pretty impressive, well done and keep up the awesome work!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it :)
I love the Napoleonic Wars so much since i'm a huge fan of it, it is one of my favorite eras, i'm very looking foward for this video soon
Thank you, glad you are excited!
Sameeeee
Blender Explanation: As some of you are aware, I became a father on 15/04/2020. Stop-Motion is temporarily difficult when holding a newborn in one arm, so I've been experimenting with Blender to carry on creating animations in the meantime. I am excited by the prospect of creating some very big battles in this series using the technology, but hope to keep some of the realism of LEGO Stop-Motion as well! Hope you like the look of it :)
Congratulations! And the video looked beautiful.
looks great, and good luck with your kid
Wow! Almost what a year old?
@@RandomPerson-ob1hk Yeah he's 11 months and doing well thanks :)
This looks amazing! Cant wait to see the final film
Holy Jesus, PERFECT SHOWS A REALISTIC BRITISH ARMY, GOD SAVE THE KING!
You have conquered Blender!
A long way to go to conquer, but I hope I might have won a skirmish to get started! Haha
OMG AMAZING
Thank you! Glad you like it so much :)
Make a Story With Themed Theme "The Passion of Christ"
It looks like Lego stop motion, but it also seems to have an animation effect. I wonder how this video was filmed and edited. I'll subscribe to this channel:)
By magic! I'm glad it interests you and that you subscribed! Hope you enjoy the finished video :)
Whoa! I can’t wait! I hope there’s gonna be some Brickington sails forth references in there!
I'm sure someone may do a cameo! I wonder what rediculous mission Brickington is off on at the moment!
Daawwmmm this is so good😁
Plz make a tutorial🙏
Glad you like the look of it :) I'll see about a tutorial once I know exactly what I'm doing myself 😂
amazing work, just dont get to carried away with the cgi, seen many good lego animators fall because the fans didn't like the lack of lego
Thank you for the thoughts. As i mentioned elsewhere, I'm largely heading down this path out of necessity as stopmotion is a little impractical currently with a small baby. However I do hope to resume stop motion in the future. I'm hoping to use Blender carefully to create stories in my own current style, looking like stop-motion videos, stuff that would be largely possible with actual lego (albiet on a larger scale)as opposed to bendy bodies or things that would be impossible with real LEGO that you do see with some CGI videos :). That's my intention anyway!
QuackingFilms wow that’s a lot of plans, I will support you however you choose to carry on your stopmotion carrier however
This is very impressive well done! And yeah I d say you are successful at maintaining the stop motion look. Did you make all the skins yourself? Congrats and good luck with the new born!
Hi, sorry for the late reply! I use mecabricks and its blender extension. I had to make the cavalry torso decals myself though :)
I wish I could see my Lego doing this.
You'd need a strong table for all that marching!
@@QuackingFilms lol
0:23 you’ve got a clipping issue in the center of the troop column, one of the soldiers stop moving as the rest carry on, phasing through him
Yep annoyingly I spotted him just after I uploaded. Well spotted! This was more of a test render anyway, so I'll have to redo it for the final film (I also need to make those horses less shiny!). Cheers for spotting!
Not trying to be mean it looks great but i will always prefer more old schools looking stop motion still like this style though
I understand that completely Screaming Eagle, and I do hope to also resume actual stopmotoion in the future - but as explained, I'm exploring this as an avenue to keep my channel alive during note challenging times for making animation :). Glad you like it still. I hope to keep it looking as stop motiony as possible!
do you need a powerful computer for this lol or can i use an old version of blender
I don't have a particularly powerful PC - it got a bit laggy when all the soldiers were loaded but was workable. Rendering takes a long time for me so i used sheepit render farm. I use mecabricks addon so you'd have to check which blender versions it's compatable with :)
@@QuackingFilms thanks
The British grenadiers wasn’t playing ?
