Cook BISAYA dishes to feed my big happy family [My Countryside Life!]

- My country is very rich in food culture. Every region, every province, every island has their own way of cooking. Every Filipino food differs from place to place and family to family because some of the ingredients aren't found on a specific place but they have another ingredients that they may use instead. Today, I cooked Bisaya dishes. For those who doesn’t know Bisaya people are one of the largest ethnolinguistic group in the Philippines residing in the Visayas and Mindanao group of islands. As an Ilocano from the north, it's so good to know how their food tastes like.

If you're from the Philippines, how many languages can you speak fluently? Personally I can speak three languages namely Ilocano, Tagalog and English(not that fluent). I can't speak Filipino yet since the language is kinda complicated. It is a mix of different regional languages in the Philippines. Take a look at these colors in Filipino.
mabaya(red)
lila(purple)
kalimbahin(pink)
kahel(orange)
kunig(yellow)
kayumangi(brown)
luntian(green)
bughaw(blue)
dagtum(black)
i can speak bisaya ( cebuano & hiligaynon) i can understand waray2x, surigaonon, bul-anon and of course english and tagalog and also a little bit of korean.

Hello, Gayyem. As a true blooded Bisaya, na appreciate ko yung pag feature mo ng mga staple food namin. The "Utan Bisaya" is "Law-uy" in our language. It is best cooked with fried fish, most likely Galong-gong or "Moro-moro" in bisaya.
Treasures!!! These views of Nueva Viscaya ! Praise the Lord !!!
Aloha from Hawaii! Love watching your video. It just touches

My parents were from the Visayas region; we always have Utan with fish. I really miss that! Youre right, Dinengdeng is Bisaya Utan. Thank you for featuring that. God bless everyone!
Yes! Utan Bisaya is like Dinengdeng but still different 'cause we don't put lemon grass to the latter and uses bagoong Ilocano as a salting agent but you know what? I don't have any problem eating utan or dinengdeng. I love veggies. Both Ilocano and Bisaya people love gulay!

Ang " Bisaya ay dialect na gamit sa pagsasalita partly Visayas and Mindanoa...Ang " Cebuano naman ay tawag sa mga tao pag ikaw nanggaling, ipinanganak sa lugar ng Cebu..like for Example pag ikaw ay taga ilocos ikaw ay ilocano..
Binas-oy yung tawag ng father in law ko sa niluto mong beef but no toyo luto nya. Taga Misamis Occ sila at Cebuano dialect nila.
Road to 500k subscribers Gayyem Ben! God bless always and best regards to you nice family!! In Jesus Christ name!! Amen 😊🎉❤👍🇵🇭✅✝️🙏😇💐😎⬆️

Glad to see that you are expanding your horizons by trying other regional favorites. Among Ilonggos, what you just cooked is called LASWA. Often times, they would enhance its flavor by adding shrimps, shrimp paste or dried fish. Another famous visayan dish you could try is KBL ( short for Kadyos (pigeon peas), baboy and langka (green jackfruit). Looking forward to more of your regional explorations!
