They added more than that one scene. I've uploaded some of the other scenes here too. I never got around to uploading the rest because I will have to beat the game again with each character as Lloyd's favorite to get them and that's too much effort for me, especially since some scenes are just the same scene with a different outcome.
"Rodeo Ride Tour," a drama CD. Drama CDs tell what happened to the characters and the new world after the end of the game. There were 5 made for ToS. First they made 3 with stories featuring each character. Then RRT was a set of 2 CDs from Sheena's POV featuring Zelos and Sheena going on a trip together. I posted one track from it on youtube already.
Have you ever listened to Rodeo Ride Tour? I'm thinking about posting it. It's one of the offical drama CDs for ToS. It's Sheelos and Colloyd. So Namco supports those pairings apparently. ^^
if you saw the end of the video both Sheena and Zelos got titles. you equip the titles and there's the costume! of course there are certain titles that change your costume
You guys gotta realize that in the game sheena does develop feelings for lloyd and dat lloyd is so dam naruto-ish to it, that it would take you as the the player, or sheena, to force him to realize it through acts of pure bluntness(sheena) or controll(player)
It's not really retconned since it wasn't ever used. It was in the pre-game design phase. And yes, I'm referring to that card. I saw it once on the net, but I don't have it now. The cards aren't canon, they just show initial planning. An idea that was thought up and dropped.
Plus, as of the time of those comments. The final product of the ToS time line was RRT. So as of the time it was written, it was correct since every other release involving ToS used Colette path. Ratatosk has changed things since then by opening all paths again as equal choices. (But only female choices are romantic.) That doesn't change the fact that all other Namco products used Colette path.
W00t! Sheelos rocks! xD Yeah, I wish I knew Japanese so I could get the PS2 version. Oh well... The good news is, that there's a Tales of Symphonia 2 coming out! (well, it's like 2 years away, but still awesome!)
(For example, this scene is the one you get for picking Zelos, if I want the alternate version of this scene I have to restart from the beginning and pick Sheena in Flanoir.)
I think they were talking about ToS2, but the release date is Spring 2008, so we don't really know for sure. And that's the release for the Japanese version only. The English release will be later. I will probably be posting clips here on UA-cam if I get it in Japanese.

I mean, I remember the 4 guys, just not the rest, here's why: I just read the scene from the fanfiction adaptation. The part that starts like this: "As soon as her eyes closed and her breath evened..." ? It is an adaptation. A translation and fanfic combined into one. All the parts in quotes are the real dialogue in the CD. So if you just listen to the tracks, without reading her adaptation you hear: "Mmh. Good night, Zelos..." *rain falling sounds* "Even now... ain't stopping." *cont*
"Hey! Huge Melons!" LMAO "oh, you mean with Colette?" XD nice comeback, Sheena! holy crap...Zelos' hair in a ponytail.. O.O ♥ damn it, Japan, couldn't you have left this in the english version?! DX oh well, lol :) thanks for sharing this! i had no idea this existed before now :)
RRT is strictly from Sheena's POV. We *NEVER* hear what Zelos is thinking once. Maybe he was singing the Meow Mix song in his head during that scene, we'll never really know. The author translated all the dialogue. And she added elements of description. What she thinks was happening in scenes. She described the room they were in. We don't know that it looked like that. Maybe if you listen you can hear walking around and the floor makes a wooden squeak sound, but that's as much as you can tell.
Yes, you are correct. LloydxColette has the most secondary releases showing it. But LloydxSheena, LloydxRefill, LloydxPresea are all equal with the release of Ratatosk.

The first time I watched this video, I thought he was implying that he and Sheena dated pre-game. But when I rewatched, it could mean a lot of other things. So, within the main game all 8 paths are possible, but only 7 allowable in Ratatosk because it would have been too much effort to make alternate scenes for every time it shows Zelos. And in Ratatosk, it's obvious that ALL female paths result in a pairing (even Presea and Raine), and all male paths result in best friends. So it's a split world, 8 paths, Colette most likely, Kratos least likely. Namco's extra releases are undeniably LloydxColette. And several very highly imply ZelosxSheena.
I know that. In fact you can make Lloyd go for any of the girls. I'm just saying that by default, if you don't do anything special to make Lloyd go for Sheena, he pays much more attention to Colette and is very oblivious to Sheena's little crush. And this scene is one that you can only get AFTER Lloyd has talked to someone in flanoir (I got this info from the person who posted this) and that person had to be Zelos, I think.

Well, this is the JP remake of the game, sort of. The JP Game Cube version is the same as the English version. For the JP PS2 release, they added new features so the people that already had the GC version would buy it again. :P

Everyone has one new costume. If you want to do it faster, get Zelos and Genis's. Getting Zelos's gives you Sheena's automatically and Genis's gives you Presea's. PS2 version is slower.
After looking at it again, I guess it could be interpreted as they dated pre-game, in another context. But she replied with denying she likes Lloyd, so Sheena thinks that's what he's referring to, as well.
@ptilol If ya look at the booklet, the Japanese version, it does say they did go out before but something got in the way and they split up.... Kinda sad really, he sticks around and she pushes him away yet at the same time they still have a kind of odd deep friendship there.... :/

Those are terms that changed from Japanese to English version. "Rare Birds" were called "Rheards" in the English version. In the alternate version of this skit, Zelos gets Lloyd to go on the date with Sheena. That happens if you pick Sheena. Picking Sheena results in Zelos not getting a costume. I haven't actually seen that version of the scene, but if I ever play ToS again, I'll try for it.
And finally, please, please do tell me how on earth am I showing off by leaving name suffixes? I really do not see how that is showing off. I would really love to know why it seems that way to you. Yeah, he tries to hook her up with Lloyd. I think because Zelos likes Sheena, and he knows that she likes Lloyd, so he'd like her to be with Lloyd because that would make her happy. It happens in RRT, too. When they were at Lloyd's house, Zelos got mad and left, but Sheena chased after him. So in the end, she chose Zelos over Lloyd. XD
@MisterHeroman (cont...) If I was doing this professionally through the game company I would have used the English terminology and translated it differently. I also would have translated odd phrases more loosely like they do in all these games. My hope is that fans can learn some things about the original version through this style of translation. I hope that makes sense.

爆走 is like a roaring sound. 暴走 is running wild. Maybe a 爆走族 is noisier than a 暴走族? lol. I don't know. ^^; Yeah 巫女 is a shrine maiden. 神子 (God Child / Holy Child) is the kanji used in the game. It can also mean shrine maiden though. 御子 (Honorable Child) is another spelling.
TT-TT ZELOS WAS SOOOOOO JEALOUS. AND...and....she has this tiny crush on Lloyd...and its all messed up. But deep down, Sheena must have more than a crush for Zelos. Their relationship is so complicated but I think Sheena has strong feelings for his that she has no choice but to deny to herself.
@G102Y5568 No. In this scene - which occurs if Lloyd doesn't go out with Sheena in Flanoir - Sheena likes Lloyd and Zelos knows it but Lloyd, being the dumbass that he is, doesn't. The problem is that Zelos kinda likes Sheena but also believes that Sheena (in his mind) shouldn't like him and probably never will anyway. If Lloyd goes out with Sheena in Flanoir, he actually cheers her up himself in this scene.
Anyway, cards show original "intent" which is what I said. They aren't canon. I'm just saying how the planning went for the characters' backgrounds. I've already said they aren't canon. Is that not enough? That doesn't mean one path isn't more likely than the others. And I agree there isn't enough to imply it outside of ToS and RnK. CDs and some other Namco games implied it. Which is why I mentioned it was *side releases* that implied it.
How is leaving in the suffix's showing off? Do you know how many people leave in the suffixes on translations!? And she was simply leaving in some words that had been changed when Symphonia got its english release as how they were in Japanese, there's nothing wrong with that! Its not like the translation was shoddy or hard to understand, so deal!
Titles were left in Japanese because they are titles so I wanted to show the actual title as they are in Japanese with a translation. The words that are in English in the titles were already in English in the Japanese game. I left the suffixes on because I had a vote and people voted to leave them on the names. I put English translation over the Japanese words which is why you can see the Japanese words behind the English words! What the hell is your point? You want to see the original? I posted that too. They used new writers, maybe a few old ones, but many new ones. Different teams will interpret the characters different ways. The creator of the characters intended for Zelos and Sheena to be introduced as former lovers as that was in pre-game materials. The voice actors of the characters like Colloyd/Sheelos. The CDs were the same person Namco used to write all the CDs for all their games, and the Gumis, and the anime for ToS. Why do you want to prove it's not canon so badly? It WAS until RnK.
I really hope Nintendo releases this version of Symphonia on their Virtual Console! I think you did great on the Subbing!

Yeah, he tries to hook her up with Lloyd. I think because Zelos likes Sheena, and he knows that she likes Lloyd, so he'd like her to be with Lloyd because that would make her happy. It happens in RRT, too. When they were at Lloyd's house, Zelos got mad and left, but Sheena chased after him. So in the end, she chose Zelos over Lloyd. XD
@MisterHeroman (cont...) If I was doing this professionally through the game company I would have used the English terminology and translated it differently. I also would have translated odd phrases more loosely like they do in all these games. My hope is that fans can learn some things about the original version through this style of translation. I hope that makes sense.

爆走 is like a roaring sound. 暴走 is running wild. Maybe a 爆走族 is noisier than a 暴走族? lol. I don't know. ^^;
Yeah 巫女 is a shrine maiden. 神子 (God Child / Holy Child) is the kanji used in the game. It can also mean shrine maiden though. 御子 (Honorable Child) is another spelling.
So, this IS in the GCN version?? I thoguht I woulda known if it was. o.o
Why do you dislike them? I just ignore the pairings I don't like. If you prefer Shelloyd, that's fine, but why not just ignore the others?

Lol for the first minute of this video I thought Zelos was trying lure Lloyd into a private room.
TT-TT ZELOS WAS SOOOOOO JEALOUS. AND...and....she has this tiny crush on Lloyd...and its all messed up. But deep down, Sheena must have more than a crush for Zelos. Their relationship is so complicated but I think Sheena has strong feelings for his that she has no choice but to deny to herself.

No. In this scene - which occurs if Lloyd doesn't go out with Sheena in Flanoir - Sheena likes Lloyd and Zelos knows it but Lloyd, being the dumbass that he is, doesn't. The problem is that Zelos kinda likes Sheena but also believes that Sheena (in his mind) shouldn't like him and probably never will anyway.
If Lloyd goes out with Sheena in Flanoir, he actually cheers her up himself in this scene.
Actually, they didn't take it out of the GCN version, they put it IN the PS2 version.

Anyway, cards show original "intent" which is what I said. They aren't canon. I'm just saying how the planning went for the characters' backgrounds.
I've already said they aren't canon. Is that not enough? That doesn't mean one path isn't more likely than the others. And I agree there isn't enough to imply it outside of ToS and RnK. CDs and some other Namco games implied it. Which is why I mentioned it was *side releases* that implied it.
How is leaving in the suffix's showing off? Do you know how many people leave in the suffixes on translations!?
And she was simply leaving in some words that had been changed when Symphonia got its english release as how they were in Japanese, there's nothing wrong with that! Its not like the translation was shoddy or hard to understand, so deal!
Titles were left in Japanese because they are titles so I wanted to show the actual title as they are in Japanese with a translation. The words that are in English in the titles were already in English in the Japanese game.
I left the suffixes on because I had a vote and people voted to leave them on the names. Lots of subs do this.

I put English translation over the Japanese words which is why you can see the Japanese words behind the English words! What the hell is your point? You want to see the original? I posted that too. Yeah, it pretty obvious in both version. XD Just the Japanese one used a little more obvious terminology sometimes. I thought it was neat that both Zelos and Collet make the Sign of the Cross when charging their spells.
They used new writers, maybe a few old ones, but many new ones. Different teams will interpret the characters different ways. The creator of the characters intended for Zelos and Sheena to be introduced as former lovers as that was in pre-game materials. The voice actors of the characters like Colloyd/Sheelos. The CDs were the same person Namco used to write all the CDs for all their games, and the Gumis, and the anime for ToS.
Why do you want to prove it's not canon so badly? It WAS until RnK.
