I really LOVE this Rhipsalis, thanks so much for sharing this wonderful info about this beauty and the different species, and sending you lots of love and PLANT POWER from Ireland XXXX
Great video! I just bought a number of unlabeled rhipsalis etc in small plugs at a Tasmanian village garden stall this weekend. Large plants of rhipsalis including 'paradoxa' were hanging in the verandah showcasing their wonderful blooms and berries. I love sleuthing out the id on nameless plants, even if it takes a little while to do so.
Thank you! I wish I found them all! Rhipsalis pacheco-leonis ssp. pacheco-leonis is pretty difficult to find. It looks like the pictures below. facebook.com/1594341904138690/photos/a.1654960311410182/2565980630308141/?type=3 www.uhlig-kakteen.de/de/rhipsalis-pacheco-leonis.html
Can you tell me why one of my paradoxa stems keeps letting off a new leaf then eventually turns black and falls off? The rest of the stems are doing fine. I have them in cactus mix soil with perlite, orchid bark and a bit of charcoal. I am new to the rhipsalis world. Your videos are very informative. Thank you so much. Can you help me and my paradoxa?
Thank you. My little one it’s in the 2” inches container and doesn’t look good. You said that needs less water but the sizes of the container count? Now is in my south east window. I hope the light makes a difference. Thank you. I said. We don’t buy plants. We buy dreams. 💚
Hi María, here is the video that has some information about starting them: ua-cam.com/video/lxTyLexrUMQ/v-deo.html. They absolutely should be in small containers, 2in is a great size to start them in. South east window is a good location. Feel free to email me pictures and I’ll try to help where possible epiphyticcacti@gmail.com.
I bought a large plant, it's been dying since I got it and I just don't know what I'm doing wrong. The branches are drying from below but I water them as described in the video. There are only a few branches left, I really want to save it. Help 😢
I love my Paradoxa, but it puts out a ton of aerial roots all up and down it’s branches and I can’t figure out why. It doesn’t seem to be in any distress and the plant has continued to grow. I’ve thought about cutting them all off as I don’t really like the look of all roots but I haven’t yet.
Hi there! It won’t hurt the plant if you cut them off. Generally they will produce aerial roots if they are grown in very high humidity or lower light conditions. Mine always produce aerial roots indoors because no matter what window they are in, it’s not the same amount of light as outdoors even in shade. 💚🌱

It happens sometimes, but if it’s continuous you might need a bit more light or air movement.

You can send pictures of what is happening to my email: epiphyticcacti@gmail.com and I will try to help figure out what is wrong.
