I feel like you kept your cool the entire time and you were completely reasonable. I think his frustration came from the fact that he had NO control over what part of the LEGAL wall you had chose to paint on because there were cars everywhere else. Not everything can be convenient all the time. The ‘smell’ will go away. But the behavior he displayed will stay here on the internet forever 🤷♀️

That’s disgusting behaviour by him. He’s a criminal, he’s committing a crime by threatening you and vandalising property by spitting on your car. Man, you are awesome and chill, you are so cool about everything and one of the nicest youtubers out there... you did everything right, but some people are just toxic. they dont want to understand you or listen to the reasons why you paint at a spicific spot or wall. yes he has valid points, but you have you reasons as well. As long as it is legal to paint on this wall its not your personal problem. and if someone threatens you or insults you for no acutal reason, you have the right to ask the police for help or even sue him. obvl you dont have the time or the nervs to do this but always the option in case they really overreact. you did everythig right. just sad that the vibe was gone for you. kind of kills the fun for your hobby and passion.

I still have the same reaction and feel the same you do whenever someone is needlessly rude. It's not easy to stay calm about that, it really is rude when someone acts like that, but sadly, i'm pretty sure staying calm is the right way to handle that bullshit. If it works then you might be rewarded with an apology and mutual understanding from the other person
And if it doesn't the other guy would just think that you're some wuss that he can push around.

Anger management conflict resolution and deescalation are a process we go through as we observe the problem, synthesize than apply a solution that relates to the person based on the unique experience according to their demeanour with calm compassion and self control than all sides will compromise and be happy too!
As a guy who had a similar situation. I’m glad you handled it like I did, I’m an amateur blacksmith and apparently having a charcoal forge on my own property is a big no no for people who also live in your neighborhood. I’m glad I didn’t loose it and smack that jerk with my hammer. So remember we need to treat others the way we want to be treated

This guys lucky he met someone so patient.
I understand his POV as I paint in my backyard and I have 7 other backyards that border mine.
I try and be respectful and paint at different times where I think it may be less impactful for my surrounding neighbors but, I know I have a legal right to paint.
People pollute with all their noise all day long and sometimes too early and also too late yet, I have never complained even about the artistic woodworker who is one of my bordering neighbors who is running one of his many pieces of equipment even as I am writing this.
One day I was painting a small piece in my backyard and I heard a neighbor who had just moved in less than a year ago say very loudly to his family the racial slur was back at his spray painting again.
I try very hard to be very neighborly and even introduced my wife and myself to them when they moved in.
I still paint and I am concious of others but, it sucks having to restrain my artistic self just to keep the peace....well, my piece needs another coat so off I go 😂

I've been in that situation more than once. It's a tough spot to be in. A lot of people would have just punched him, but those people aren't on the same mission as you. You made the right choice.

A similar thing happened to me once I was painting on a LEGAL wall and some random man came to me and asked me what I am doing there I explained to him that this was a legal wall and I have done nothing that would brake any laws he called the cops on me they came and themself told the man that I did nothing wrong when the cops drove away he decided to smash my music speaker and ran away and i reacted the same way as you did calm and a little bit angry ...... yeah..... btw that piece is really good🔥respect

so how is it like? I was wondering about that in some of you other videos like where you painted in that abandoned subway tunnel... is the country/town declaring some walls to be legally painted on ? In germany we just have very few walls open for graffiti artists, apart from that it's considered destruction of proeprty if you paint anywhere without the owners explicit consent
