I made these and oh my they were so delicious and so crunchy I couldn't stop eating them. my children couldn't stop eating them either. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for replying and answering my questions. I was wondering during the blanching process maybe one could add some salt or a flavouring agent into the water, so that it could come out having a slight flavour and aroma. Maybe sugar could do the trick for sweetness when blanching and a lemon, orange or other fruits flavours could do to make a fruity flavoured chips.
I prefer not to add any flavorings since cassava already have a distinct taste and aroma a bit savory too so salt is not necessary,but if you want flavoring you can add it after deep frying if you want sweet you can sprinke sugar on the chips ,i tried cinamon sugar once,so as for flavorings possibilities are endless but I recommend putting the flavorings after deep frying it,its best to use dry/powder form flavorings especially if you wont eat it right away ,syrup works fine too just put it when youre ready to eat
Thank you very much for sharing this with us, you did an amazing job. Just wanted to ask you for how long did you blanch the cassava, and could it be oven dried instead of spreading it out in the sun, or what other means of drying do you recommend aside from sun drying.
Thank you,its just a very quick blanch about 3 seconds ,you can tell.if its ready when it turns transparent from opaque ,sorry I hav'nt tried it in the oven ,I wish I have one so I can try and see the outcome,but maybe it is possible with lower temp setting
we do not put anything on it during the cooking,but after you fry it possibilities are endless ,be it sweet or savory but trust me it is delicious as it is ,

Oh wow,thanks for watching@rajiiwmona5351,you have to sun dry it after blanching ,air drying is not gonna work ,but if if you like you can roll it on banana leaves ang keep it overnight ,you have to blanch it in the morning and sun dry it immediately,
