Nice classic Pontiac Firebird Trans Am!!! There were two 6.6 Liter V-8s offered on the Trans Am. The 400 cubic inch V-8 was equipped by Pontiac Motor Division, and it was available in all 49 states. The 403 cubic inch V-8 was equipped by Oldsmobile Division, and it was available only in California to meet emission standards
Not correct. The 403 was used in all states.
Yes all 50 states but the 4spd cars had the Pontiac 400 and the 4spd was not available in California, so your both right sort of.
The 400 4spd didn't meet Cali fruity "CARB" standards
@@robertratliff6030 It also didn't meet high altitude standards. It was only Federally certified for the 1979 model year.
Too bad that when the car was repainted they didn't put the correct graphics on the shacker hood. T/A 6.6 was ONLY on the Pontiac 400 as well as the 4spd. Nice car but you really can't call it untouched unless you put the correct graphics on it. Then you can fool people that it's untouched. Sorry.
Smokey n the bandit 2 was the 4.9 turbo trans ams not a 6.6 ..... Same body shape but had turbo wheels so it's not the bandit trans am

The bandit trans am was a 1976 trans am with a 77 nosecone. As the 1977 was not in production when filming was started .... This is not a bandit trans am.....the 2nd bandit trans am was a 1980 Pontiac firebird trans am 4.9 turbo not a 1979
Oldsmobile 403 engine not as good as the 400 Pontiac engine .....
