Silver Bullet, London Posse, Gunshot, Hijack, MC Mello, Outlaw Posse, Demon Boyz......the Golden Age of UK Hip Hop imo ✊
And Killa Instinct, Caveman & Katch 22.
Nick Hulston posse and Demon hands down. Money
Mad and Recognition.....
Gangster Chronicle & Patriot Games were just incredible albums!
Oh yesss !!!
True man 👏
Still one of the best tracks of all time. Captures an era in UK dance and social history that only The Prodigy can rival.
Agree - It was way ahead of it's time - I remember first time I heard it how I thought mad fast it was - now it seems almost 'normal'
u know mate

Yep.
Classic track. I remember being in a small club in Milton Keynes in 89 & Silver Bullet was there to perform live. When he arrived he just came in on his own, walked to the bar & was standing there just drinking coca cola. Everybody was doing New Jack Swing dancing on the dance floor, nobody recognized him until he hit the mic & dropped 20 Seconds to Comply. He sounded great live real raw hip hop no silly gimmicks, just a cool guy. He was on the promotion trail for the single before it hit the charts. Great times in UK hiphop.
Lil late ..but yeh..I met him in Aylesbury back in 87..he came to a party at Aylesbury college. He hails from Wycombe..or did back then. nice bloke, later when he left..he looked at me and nodded as if to say nice to meet ya man. Like you said..the good ole days :)
Love this story
I'm from MK. any idea what the club was called?.
also The Criminal Minds are worth a mention 👍🎛🎧🎙
Ultra Vegas @ Keynes

gunshot...............awseome
Hijack were great as well...
Got to agree with you there mate
I'm American but I lived in the UK in 1990 when this song was all over the dance floors. It was one of my favorites and I remembered it just the other day and came looking for it here. It's just as good of a track as I remember it being!
So it didn't get released (or get high enough in the charts) in the US then??
Due to his accent while rapping I thought this was a US track that came over to the UK!
Wow that's insane! I never knew that!
Ed. 209 Tripping out on the dance floor with 1000 tracers + winders was iLL!
@@watchreadplayretro no it didn't do much over here at the time. USA was into grunge. Best wishes to you ❤️
“Englishmen can’t rap”
Silver Bullet: Hold my tea
dereck B, on your bike....
😂😂😂😂
"Black"
Just heard this for the first time. Mind-blowing. Early 90s hip-hop was indeed the best.
It doesn't get any better than this! Still listening in Perth, WA, 2024!
Remember when this was first released 53yo here, still lovin & listening🇬🇧
He smashed it out of the park all those years ago, it still sounds fantastic today!!!
The most powerful Hip Hop lyrics for 40 years and arguably the most brilliantly executed lyrics for 40 years too. Very few can begin to understand how deep and ahead it is their time these lyrics were. .
Listen to Urban Dance Squad - Demagogue or living on the fast lane
"Ahead of its time" is another way of saying it was surpassed a while back.
@@SONOFABITCH Nope. Its another way of saying after 40 years no one has caught up.

This tune blew my mind when I first heard it. I was in my mates house he had just returned from uni in 1990 with the 12" vinyl. Then we played Stakker Humaniod 12" got some Purple Ohms and went to a rave probably the best night of my life so far.......

I bought this on vinyl the day it came out, still have it, still 🔥
✊🏻
Used to listen to this back in 89/90 on my cheapo ALBA Walkman, I must have worn it out by rewinding it so many times. As others have stated, well ahead of its time and still sounds amazing in December 2021...
Rich aka Silver Bullet lives down the road from me. I went round his house with a mutual friend to record a dnb mix with him. We did the mix and his mcing was phenomenal. I forgot to press record! Top bloke, makes a great cup of tea. Big up yourself Rich mate @silvahbullet 🔥🔥🔥🏴🏴🏴
So happy to had the chance to see them perform live on stage in 1990 🥰

No tracks like these now a days! STRAIGHT UP CLASSIC!!
1990... seems like yesterday! This will never age, it's as fantastic now as it was then. 👌
Was just reminded of this song. And after listening, once again I felt energized by it, just as it did 30 years ago.
I was 15, wonderful times

Best deal you ever made in your life ;-)
Way before its time,
And he made sure no one is copying his lyrics
This really should be released again. Even in this modern day this would steam up the charts.
He struggled after his minor fame. Used to speak to him a lot but lost contact. Very talented
Carmarthen?
What happen to em
Sir how did he struggle?
F* me, I am 59, I remember this back in the day. Right now hearing this, I can still bust a move, hold my beer........brb. The energy in this track is simply astounding.
I was 13 when I first heard this. In the top 10 greatest 🇬🇧rap songs of all time.
this generation in 24 never partied like us old school in 80s n ninteys in our fiftys now im still rocking these tunes nuff respect mc lite nwa to name a few
This will never grow old....Just like Young MC and His know how
such good fast rap with that classic rap style
And the Homeboy Hippie & Funky Dredd - Total Confusion
He has an incredible ability to fly like that with the beat - he breaks through everything
I still love this tune awesome track
This track was way ahead of its time for 1990 seriously!
How they didn't become constant chart toppers is.beyond me
This is pure fire 🔥

Good days ay. Bullet had more bars than pentonville
Great tune from back in the day. I also remember when those Africa medallions were all the rage after 3ft high and rising dropped...

Even the Nikes still look fresh!
Damn I've been listening to this tune for 28 years and didn't know there was a music video! Thanks man!
When I was 18, I was at an all girls grammar school in rural Wiltshire. We were all indie kids. A girl called Jade from Greenwich joined us in the sixth form, and she was a lot more street than us. We were playing REM and The Cure in the common room, and Jade walked in and put this on the turntable. BAM!
2024 and still📻🔊🎶🎵🎼💥💥💥💥blastin this😉
Still sweet after all these years. The speed was mental back in the days now it sounds really normal :)
Absolute tune!! 🔥
How can you forget a absolutely fantastic group with talent and amazingly fantastic song
20 seconds to comply………do u comply??
i was just a pup when this came out!! wicked tune, and loved the movie robo cop, well ahead of its time
top tune from the very late 1980s as 1989 was the birth of house/hip house/rave/ and in 1990 the music scene exploded with rave/drum & bass/garage/techno/eurodance it went crazy!!! but this is a tune from a happier better decade 🔉🔈🔊😎🥳🥳🥳
What a time to be alive 😊
The Flow Tho !!! Hip Hop Classic 💛❤

CLASSIC
I was in my bedroom in chingford with the JVC age11 And this still pumps
One of the greatest tunes bar none.Bought it when it came out.Had the bar manager put it on last week in a pub and filled the floor!!!
2024 still rockin' it!!!
34 years later and I still won't comply
Fuck me, one of my all time favourites right here. I remember blasting this out of a stereo on my shoulder but on rollerskates and loving life, still seems amazing now though. Proper tune!
This was and still is far out stuff. Blasting away contenders in less than 20 seconds. Easily. Raw. Well crafted. Political. And so fast it’s almost jungle!! Top that!! Britcore at its best. Much love!!
well said - this was so far ahead of it's time now I listen back - I remember at the time thinking it was way fucking hardcore vs all others - this would be mainstream jungle now though - top tune for sure
Listening to this in 2023, I was 13 when I first heard it. Still one of the best tunes ever!
Legendary, Still here X
I grew up in Cornwall and I was 14 when this was fresh. I had my break dance hoodie, a piece of vinyl flooring and my ghetto blaster. I was king of the hill. lol, how times have changed.

These guys were a breakdance crew in the mid 80's, my crew beat them in a great battle in Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire. love this tune!!!!
+Eddie Browne I grew up near Aylesbury in the 90s, and the fact that anything had ever happened there would have been unbelievable to me... despite many musical happenings in the 70s and 80s...
anyone know where DJ mo is
Was good friend but lost contact in the 90’s
Do you remember Broken glass and street machine,my mate Justin was in street machine with Jason Orange
@@paulanthony5274 Hi, i do remember them, i watched some footage of them many years ago on Pete Watermans tv show, it was based at nightclubs around the country, it was very good.
I loved this sadly neighbours didn't 🤷
Funny, my neighbours were different, they threw a brick through my window when this was on, I guess they wanted to hear it louder! Maybe!
Timeless
Back in the day a 60yr old introduce me to this when I came back to the UK from living in Canada
when Air Max 1s were new.
Hahahaha

Nice comment brother
Made me chuckle
Classic!!
I was 19 when this badboy was banging out my distorted speakers in my susuki jeep!
This guy actually came from my home town of Aylesbury, Bucks,
The video for his other single "Bring forth the gillotine" was filmed up Wendover woods as i remember.
I'm an 'Hellsbury' original. Moved away like lots of people do. I recognise a couple of peeps in the video. Hard to believe this much time has passed ☹️
Silver bullet, omg, bangin
Still awesome in 2024 ✊🏽👏🏼
Brilliant dance tune & with some good sampling from RoboCop 👍🏾
I still have this on cassette tape and bring forth.....this was one amazing artist bridging that gap (at the time) between hip hop and electronic sampled music (to become rave) with the likes of technotronic / snapp / m.a.r.r.s and the other house/hip hop legends like jungle brothers etc .these guys helped usher in rave and I was there as a young lad from 13+ listening to electro at the very start then acid and deep heart to rave proper...lived the rave. Happy daze
Still 🔥🔥 2023
The Worlds End brought me here. Great song. 😊👍
this was the soundtrack of my teens listening to hip hop on both sides of the Atlantic, killer classic that’s aged well and even now sounds light years ahead.
these kats were so fuckin good,,,,,,,,,,,more than capable at keeping our overseas brothers n sisters on their toes,,,,,,,,,,...dope.
Got this on 12” still in immaculate condition
31 yrs old stills looks amazing now
"RAAAHHHHH!! I F***IN' HATE THIS TOWN!"
Brings back TOP memories..stands the test of time! Classic track.
I first heard this when I was 15 and I am now 46 and was thinking what can I listen to on UA-cam and this came from my memory bank. The was way ahead of its time and lyrically way more advanced than the majority of what London rappers were doing a the time.
I bring feel like this guy inspired hardcore house and drum n base.
When hip hop was still hip hop.
With a house beat too...
the beats dont get old
Absolute masterpiece
Probably the best baseline intro ever.
