You should have tell about Chinese 5 elements, Fajar got wood to create life Sean get fire for power and prowess. Kuroki got water to calm her nerves and guilt. Jinfeng got gold/metal for wealth and prosperity and Yang got earth for healing.
Was definitely something I was considering but the time constraint killed me haha. Maybe I will stick to longer lore videos in the future :)
You missed the after the credit scene showing that older bro really did use the talisman to save you and you restored peace to the Wude school. With you as your fathers predecessor, and the 4 Wu at peace and cooperating under the Sifu again, the balance has been restored.
It's a truly beautiful game that made me re-appreciate this concept of living. This school of thought. Be strong, but kind. You should definitely seek revenge and justice, but don't become the monsters you seek to right.
"He who has Kung-Fu and Wude; makes the other know he can break him; his hands go out like lightning, and THE OTHER DOESN'T WANT TO FIGHT ANYMORE."
What a genius game mechanic; showing you the true path. You just fought so long and hard to learn this virtual kung fu and get revenge only to realize all you wanted was for the right to be wronged. By avenging your father but showing mercy, you get to live on in peace. All of you do.
Sorry for gushing. It's just such a cool way to teach the moral/teachings. You realize it. You aren't spoon fed it. You realize what is right and how to do it.
Thanks for the response! Good catch though, I should have thought to put that part in..
@@TimmyBooots no worries great video! subbed and whatnot
For me presonally the "true" ending i to much of idealistically bulshit, the game implies our antagonists deserve to be forgiven because they are good people now, they are helping people, and they only did what they did because had rough lives. But nothing explains why they had to murder a whole temple in cold blood, especially a 12 who was no threat to them.
Plus, Fajar is still working for a gang that makes and sells drugs, and Yang tries to kill you even after you spare him and says he's going "to end the Sifu lineage". Plus, some people mention that people have gone missing at the sanctuary, and the people working there sure are creepy and violent. Doesn't seem like they are such good people after all.
and of course the moment when the artist started spouting that stuff about being on a path of vengeance I just rolled my eyes, Okay MAYBE I am on a brutal path for vengeance...why the fuck did you guys coarse a child out of hiding and murder him for no reason? Unless you didn't want witnesses or didn't want me coming back...for revenge. It just seems stupid how they murder an entire family, a child, then look that same child in the eyes years later and say "You're unrighteously mad we're all better now leave or i will fucking kill you". Like c'mon it's easy to say vengeance is bad etc, but there is literally no reason to forgive them.
Doesn't erase the fact they have killed more dojo masters than just sifu...
I still love the fact that you can ledge, and slash the underlings, but spare the bosses, you still get the wude ending lol
A little detail at the beginning of the game I love, is that when Yang orders you killed, he and Fajar/machete guy Are only ones that watch you can see in the cut scene right before he swings the other three bosses turn away unable to watch. It’s a nice little detail that shows that the bosses aren’t completely evil or terrible people and may not have agreed with that decision.
aye i did notice them turning away for just like one frame
4:51 That was such a good transition that I didn't even recognise that they were the two different phases of yang. Thought the lights turned off for a second
Thank you! :)
@far left louis well I can't go into great depths. What I can say is because the combos are animations, I was able to match up two occasions where that animation was used. And by lining up the exact frame for each clip I was able to do a hard cut, so it gives the illusion that it was one full animation in two different places.
This is some high quality content, hope your channel get famous soon
Cool summary but you missed the implied ending that Yang revives you and you open a new school becoming the new sifu
Great catch, I didn't realize until after I uploaded :/. Next time!
wait yang revives you I thought you wakeup and you have like eternal peace or wude you know something like that
Your channel is a blessing bro, keep it up!
keep it up man, thanks for the explanation, goodluck!
You missed something bro the post credits scene shows that he didn't die he attained wude still though so it's all good
You're right, good catch!
The first weapon she was using is actually called a sanjiegun
Did not know that! Thank you!
I play a lot of shadow fight
Thought the same lol
Three-sectioned staff
@@timothyjosephbonilla1108 yep
Lovely Work!
me: *learn's what sifu means
Kungfu panda: "Master Shifu = Sifu Shifu"
Love this! haha
Really good video man keep it up!
Thank you for the kind words!
Beautiful video
Well pieced, well voiced n very well executed.
Proud to be your 200th subscriber ✌❤
Much love
Subbed! Great video
Nice summary
For everybody curious.
Yang is a good guy, he wanted to revive his wife and daughter but the sifu (his father) Did not let him, that's why he came many years later to kill him.
You're correct! I held myself back with a 5 minute time constraint and left out a lot of background information. I am kicking myself for that now, but the future is bright :)
@Kwabee Every Boss has story behind him, but Fajar is more like a hired killer.
no i wouldbt say yang is a good guy. sifu wanted to protect tge relic probably to prevent misuse or possible consequences which yang took an oath to do which he later breaks. then he kills the sifu and his brother. none of these acts justify his reasons. hes a hypocritical murderer who killed innocent people for his own gain
@@ahriisnotakitsune Maybe??? He wanted to keep it a secret for only himself, or maybe he knew that power in wrong hands might be the problem, whatever consequences were, Yang broke that oath to heal his Wife And Daughter, Why Sifu did not let him? Idk, but even in the prologue he didn't want to kill him after all.
"You know why I'm here, just step a-side."
@@stevicdusan8815 but the point is that yang broke his promise and he did kill him. if anything, the pendent belongs to sifu anyway nor did sifu used it. just because u want to resurrect people u want to is no excuse to kill innocent people, break an oath, and steal.
I have gotten through every boss at 20 except Yang, the youngest I've beaten Yang is 21. For anyone who is interested in Sifu and decided to watch this video, as someone who has completed the game many times, I can confirm that this video is informative about the story. Good job with the video Lancer.
The weapon Kuroki was using is a three-section staff, but with blades at the end
How tf u have such less subs man your content is quality
Goos stuff bro! Definitely subbing for more!
This is such Quality Content tbh!
0man you are underrated
186 subs with this good of content? That’s absurd.
Thank you :)
how is this guy have great edit and summary on the game but has low subs.
hope you get famous soon
good video
Hope u get to 1k sub fast
Oh my fucking god this video is so fucking good.
Thank you!
damn kuroki didn't deserve to be killed, thanks god u can spare her
True!
@@TimmyBooots how to spare bosses
@@markangelo7435 In the second phase of the fight, when you have the option to Y+B (or triangle + cirlce for PS5) don't press anything. You then have to damage them again to the point where you are prompted to press those buttons again, but this time it will say spare telling you to press left on the D-Pad! Good luck!
Why doesn't kuroki deserve to die?
Also you can only spare after beating Yang the first time
Ohh you're definitely going to be famous soon
Quite nice. Commenting for the UA-cam algorithm
Very thoughtful! Thank you so much!
This is the story of seafood, in 5 minutes.
haha classic!
I think one greta detail Abt this game is how when you choose to kill a boss, you ultimately kill them by using their own weapon against them. It shows a "live by the sword, die by the sword" aspect to the game that I love. These people lived with violence, and therefore died to violence. What is especially interesting though, is how you kill yang in basically the same way he killed your father, showing that the cycle of revenge never truly ends. It just repeats.
I don’t play the game but I only saw fajar and yang in the beginning cutscenes. If kuroki didn’t want to fight, did she appear in the beginning transition?
Hi! if you're talking about when they ambush the martial arts school, then yes! All of the bosses were there. It is very brief but when Yang shows up to where the Sifu is located, Kuroki and JinFeng are already fighting him! I hope I'm answering your question!
@@TimmyBooots ohhhhhh thanks
Wowowoow
This man deserves more credit also I am a super intense minecraft player
i know this video was meant to be a quick summary of the story but you missed the part talking about all the talismans
Yeah good catch, I will get better at fitting more information in such a condensed time in future videos. Thank you for the feedback, however!
@@TimmyBooots don’t get me wrong, this is a great summary already, it’s just missing a very small part. Amazing video tho!
nah cuz why spare the bosses but not the normal npc's, what about that mf i pushed off a warehouse, or that one guy that I slit in the throat
I though this channel was 100 k subs channel at first lol
Bro continue the shit ur gonna get subs
5:35 wtf there was a dragon??????
are u blind?
@@Nigga-kg9mj guess so XD I didn’t notice the first time I got the true ending
jinfeng uses a meteory hammer (while in the prologue she uses a rope dart), and kuroki has a three section staff with blades at the ends
U can spare them
sifuder
Did yang saved our Protagonist by placing the tailsman in you hand?
Yes!
this game sounds like it would be amazing in chinese
Fajar means dawn in indonesian
My guy you literally just said the obvious there is deeper lore that you didn't even mention
Idk why but even though kuroki pissed me off...the face she makes why you stab her is so sad its one of those expressions that made me question who was truly in the wrong here
There's also the fact that she didn't want to fight that makes that expression all the more worse.
@@youngbando2376 yea...so now that i 100% the game if I'm replaying it I'll usually kill everybody except kuroki and Yang plus he was healing people at his sanctuary so in my head-canon sparing him would ensure he continues to help othersthe biggest factor of this ,even the "aging" is allegory for how revenge can feel like a lifetime to achieve, however in the "spare/Wude ending" you truly become a sifu, but only becuase youve gained peace...idk maybe im reading too much into to it but i hope they expand on this story a lil more a yang prequel dlc would be nice
What about secret ending bro
My question is what exactly happens to the protagonist after yang is spared. Why does he just drop dead
To give a late response, it's implied that the protagonist dies from his injuries fighting Yang and everyone else. You have to keep in mind that there's actually a clock on the side of the menu when you're choosing the level.
There's no calendar, so it's basically implied that he was fighting non-stop for hours.
He dies from the injuries, and because he doesn't have the talisman, which Yang rips from him during the fight, the protagonist just stays dead...
Until he is revived. The best guess is that Yang chooses to resurrect the protagonist using the talisman, and then the post-credits scene suggests he carried on his father's legacy by becoming the Sifu himself.
40k views, 300 subs.
damn.
i dunno who told you this had to be five minutes, but the time constraint is the only thing holding this video back. barely anything from the game's detective board is mentioned, the after-credits scene is left out, the bosses' powers being derived from the 5 Chinese elements is missing, and ultimately this video is just surface-level information that most people can figure out themselves in a single playthrough. you should make a longer video that goes a little more in-depth, and make it as long as you like :)
Thank you for the feedback! The "In 5 Minutes" thing was just something I thought would be fun and challenging and is targeted for a specific demographic of people. There are so many channels out there that go into extensive detail about lore that I wanted to try something different and see if I could summarize the story for those who don't want to sit through a 30 minute video! In the future I'm going to move away from the five minute time constraint and start making comprehensive videos.
@@TimmyBooots yeah i understand wanting to capitalize on the algorithm. don't take anything personally, i'm just glad you and your audience can have a civil conversation about criticism in this day and age LOL
@@SupremeCaptainBlaze Of course! I really appreciate the honesty! It will help me become better :)
this video blow up
Am I the only one who reads names with a J like Fajar with a Y sound and not a J sound? Like to me his name is Fa-yar, or is it just me?
This video was a let down
I'm sorry to hear that!
Seems like a cheesy kung fu movie from the 80s to 90's. The art style and gameplay is good but the story was a bit meeeh in my opinion. It has nothing much to offer beside the good art style and gameplay, the story is lacking. It would've been nice if they added more multiple endings or an added an option to fight the bosses in whatever order you like to see those endings. Overall the revenge plot could've been fleshed out more, the characters added more back story etc. If you ever saw or read the anime/manga "Blade of the Immortal" it has one of the best revenge plot ever shown in media. The developers should've taken notes on that material.
I happen to agree with you, the story was very basic and otherwise predictable. The gameplay truly makes this game an experience, however. :)
The one thing this game failed to do...WAS GIVE THE MC A NAME
So basically this is Sasuke and Itachi
