I'd gladly buy it on its own but I'm a console player, so I will be forced to buy Cats and Dogs too.

I got it because it was free… I don’t even have Cats and Dogs, so the only thing it adds are some pet themed objects I think. Or if it does add anything interesting, I haven’t seen it yet. I already assumed it wouldn’t work properly since I don’t have the pets pack, but I couldn’t say no to a free download hah
As a builder, I love the egg bed and a cat lamp from there, my builds are finally complere (also got this for free)
They get us to get it for free, realize that a lot of it has Cats and Dogs stuff so we buy Cats and Dogs too

Accurate. Ecolifestyle is 100% true.
People still hate on it so much but it actually has gameplay that can be used in ANY world or play through. I wish the community board thingies could be turned off or better controlled without mods, and for it to be easier to get an industrial footprint, but overall it doesn't deserve the hate. People were just mad because they wanted schools and look how that turned out lol.
@nerdygem8620 It's kinda weird to place the blame on people who wanted schools??? Amittedly I don't see the appeal of going to school with your Sims, but the fault for how it turned out doesn't lie with those who wanted it, it lies with the people who approved an underdeveloped pack

if get to work had a refresh... i think it would be one of the best packs in the entire sims 4--- the retail system is already fun and i feel like it could all be build on more especially since its the first expansion pack!
I love the retail-aspect and baking skill so much, that those alone make the pack worth it imo. I use them all the time. (Price though :( )
probably one of the best on the entire franchise. If I don't misunderstood it, this is the first time we can go with our sim to their job, it's so cool
honestly i enjoyed and played with this EP so much and probably the most tbh ! back in 2015 the packs felt like they gave what they could and were finding their footing with TS4, compared to packs that came after City Living (I think) it's definitely one of the best imo
@@ugh7813 if you don't count professions from the sims 3 as "jobs" then yes, it's the first time, otherwise they were firstly added in sims 3 (detective, firefighter, ghost hunter, stylist, babysitter, bands if you want to count the gigs lol, singer, magician, acrobat, lifeguard and medical+actor career added some in-world quests)

It's frustrating to see how they take advantage of people's fear of missing out on certain content. Even if they don't have much money, some individuals still end up buying it because they don't want to be left behind while others have contents they don't. That's why I dislike it when they excessively promote paid content on the homepage, especially now that they've added this unnecessary shopping cart feature. It feels like they're encouraging people to spend their money recklessly without a care, and this is disgusting.
It is astonishing to think that there are 45 packs available. I am curious about the final amount of packs in total once all the support for TS4 is completed. I wouldn't be surprised if Project Rene becomes their next main game (Sims 5) that it will be filled with even more paid content throughout its lifespan than TS4.

Honestly a youtuber made occult themed townhouses, there was a witch one, a vampire one and a werewolf one. I thought to myself "Shame they didnt include aliens in this" then she said in the video "if you'd like to see me build an alien and a mermaid one then let me know in the comments below"

Truly, given that every new update and pack seems to break the game even worse. The newest update is apparently corrupting peoples entire save files. Previous updates have accidentally deleted the game from people's libraries altogether. EA won't fix the bugs because they know they don't need to make it fun to play. They don't need to deliver a good quality product, they just they just need to keep shipping out piecemeal garbage that will RUN most of the time and us autistic girlies will keep shelling out because they have our special interest in a chokehold. This game costs over a grand, and buying it isn't really owning it. Doesn't guarantee you access, doesn't guarantee you can use the product the way you want to. The only way to win is to pay what it's actually worth - which is, in it's current state, nothing.
Get together and get famous are so underrated they are soo fun and windenberg is the best world hands down

The celebrity disguse is a baseball cap. That is so ridiculous it's like Clark Kent's glasses but it's also briliant. I love that pack. Also I gave Judith Ward a power suit and neck length bob makeunder. She rocks now. Get Together is just brilliant.

But clubs are so helpful for socializing and skill building. Ive got one bookworm club with reading books as the only activity. I deleted all of the novels and fun books in the bookshelf and stocked it up with all of the skill building books... Its so helpful to have up to eight sims work on their skill at the same time

I've spent zero money on EA, not because I'm a pirate, but because they've just given away so much free I don't even feel the obligation. And I got Jungle Adventure for free and that literally was one of the best things to happen. Also, the Luxury Party CAS items are pretty lovely, I like that pack and don't know why it's hated on. It's so perfect for wedding venues and night clubs. ❤

High School Years is a bit dull. Like, there's an art room and music room on the second floor of the school but no classes take part in either. Same with the fitness room and computer room in the basement. All classes take place in the two classrooms, which can each fit 9 students but only 10-12 show up to school each day.
This is why we get the pirate expansion pack and become wonderful sailors in the world of the sims packs. ARrrr, a wonderful life for thee
Paranormal is my favourite and not even because of the gamelay in aprticular. THE AESTHETICS!! i love the boho vibes and bone hilda is iconic and really underprechiated in the sims 4.
I bought eco lifestyle and it's fun. The only thing that's stopping me from buying more packs is my anger at the fact that City Living used to include Vampires in the previous games

I spent $300 before I realize nothing will make the sims 4 feel like the sims 3. So went back to sims 3 and felt terrible for spending $300 on trash HOWEVER feel amazing for not spending 1k+ on sims 4.

They didn’t give us dog houses because it’s cruel, but filling a coffee table with live fish was ok? Gotta love Sims 4 logic… (And base game only lets you keep fish in bowls, which is actually cruel because you can’t maintain correct water temperature and chemistry in a space that small. Even betta fish need a minimum of 2-5 gallons for that reason.)

I do like Island Living and Tiny Living. Maybe because its a beach? And I LOVE making tiny houses.
But what do I know? I stopped playing Sims 2 two years ago and went back to Sims 3... recently sims 1... and Sims Medieval. For some reason haven't felt the need to go back to Sims 4. It did teach me to be a better builder in the other games though. But I didn't pay all that money, and not gonna pay more, just to build, thats not why I play the Sims games.
The Spooky Stuff pack giving us costumes that aren’t considered costumes but extra outfits. I always hated that.
The sims 4 is one of the most expensive things I own. Not only because I own like 95% of the packs, but literally the only reason I own a personal computer is for the game. Soooo, basically I’ve spent like $2000 on the sims 😂😅😅😅😅😭💸

I am now pissed still that rabbitholes exist but understand the reason behind why they can't eff with the code of sims 4's base game mapping and instance system enough to let it go for now... Just give us open world non-instanced mapping and OPTIONAL rabbitholing in sims 5 tyvm

Luxury party could have had potential with the parties and luxury items but for some reason pretty much all of their packs feel like they're made for people, by people who are nothing like the people they're making it for or knows anything of the events they're attempting to make. It's like if people who've never gone to popular people's parties make things around popular people's parties then it comes out to being a cartoonish dorky rendition of what a person who's hardly stepped foot outside his house let alone being invited to other people's events would assume is what happens at popular people's parties..... I can tell the devs part of sims 4 never got out much.

Missed opportunity to just give each Game/Expansion Pack as a free DLC, so you can save storage AND still save your money. Just choose which you like, and you can uninstall anytime. Then you still get revenue from other games.
