I'm from Australia & just discovered John Denver & the band about a week ago. We have. Country radio channel where I live & heard this. So I Shazam'd it. Legendary stuff.
OHMMMAGAHHHHH SHAKING JOHN DENVER'S HAND AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH *fangirling to death
Still catchy and fun song but it feels like it fell victim of cheesy corporate 80's music. I see this album also just came hot off his Muppets Xmas period so he could've been straying from his beautiful melodies. But I'm no John Denver fanatic, can anyone confirm if John Denver declined in the 80s vs his peak 70s era?
@@joer3501 actually he didn't really- he threw himself into his environmental work Sure, there's a few songs (albeit good imo) that sound pretty 80s-pop-rock oriented (check the Dreamland Express album for that), but records like "its about time" & "seasons of the heart" still hold up very well

Where did this magical man go away.
Why did we lose him.
I love this, it gave him a reason to smile. He knew what Annie had planned with the divorce. His ring was off already. I miss him so much. Thanks
In the early 80s disco music was very popular so JD wrote a disco theme song for nature.
Awsome
Who else loves the part where the fans shake his hand and give him gifts!😊
I could just hear John Denver and Troy Gentry singing this together in Heaven.

Love john denver but this particular song always struck me as very dated compared to most of his material.
