Alright but "The Dark Zuu" or "Zuu of the Darkness" would be the absolute best collab band name ever

Welcome to the Last Leg where tonight my guest will be.... Chris Rea! He lives in the area. Joanne Lumley could get him on the show. OH FORGET IT! You People!
The Darkness first xmas song is amazing. The second one is poor.
Lobster Boy 😁
FFS de-interlace your videos before you export them to UA-cam. Its not hard, try pretending you work for a broadcaster that has professional technical standards.
What are you in about
@@andyg3 You notice how every time someone moves quickly there are wavy horizontal lines? That is because the show is shot in a an interlaced format for broadcast on TV and it doesn't always translate well to the online format of FPS or Frames Per Second if you upload without converting it first. Very easy and quick to do. It pisses me off that this is the official channel for the show but they can't be bothered to upload professionally as all of their videos are like this. Great show, shitty online technical skill in this channel.
@@cameragod1 I can't see them at all
@@cameragod1 played fine for me, no issues at all
Turns out its your own internet connection my homie
justin making a comeback because his bank balance is getting low lol
Perhaps. They'll obviously never sell like they did in 2003-2006, but The Darkness have been back to releasing new material regularly and touring the world since 2011. They're hardworking musicians and this is their job. Great to see them getting some TV exposure again IMO.
2 years into this sham and they're still sitting 2m apart and the audience are wearing masks. Lol.
Their first album was ace and sort of a breath of fresh air when it came but now it sounds so dated, like back to the 80s dated and he even dresses like it this is the reason why rock is dead, it just repeats itself, it's some sad really.
I can't work out of you're serious, and have somehow missed the whole central conceit of The Darkness, which was a deliberate parody of 80s big haired, widdly -guitar-drenched, over-the-top rock designed to not-very-subtley reintroduce rock to a generation of radio 1 kids growing up on incipid, toothless pop, or if you're going for a sort of Stewart Lee-esque meta-joke.
If it's the latter, I salute you.
@@peterclarke7240 yeah I get what they were about and thought they were cool when the first album dropped, I liked over the top 80s hair metal but to continue to do a parody of it 20 years later, same with steel panther...the jokes had its day, same as the music...time to move on, move forward with the times. Certain bands try to reintroduce it back into the mainstream but it'll never work as it just a rehash of what's gone before, if you want to listen to rock go back and check out the originals
@@Rockinroomsrob or you could just listen to the music you like and people who like rock music can listen to the music they like. There's plenty of good rock music coming out, just because it's not in the charts doesn't mean it's not there.
@@brazzlerazzle3834 really?? That's fresh and original?? That's not a rehash of a bygone era?? I liked it when it was exciting it's become stale and boring, most are rehashes of their favourite bands growing up, I'd rather listen to original artists
@@Rockinroomsrob Yes there is plenty of music out ther that is inspired by rather than copies of the old stuff. There is of course a lot that is basic copies too, because it's popular and sells.
I like my metal heavy fast, messed up and either political or funny or both. As such I like Strapping Young Lad which is largely angry ranting but also has Satan's Ice Cream Truck, metal with a slide whistle, just to remind people it's a laugh.
One of the greatest things for me with the internet is even people who enjoy such minority music as me are catered for. Of course there are a lot of algorithms that don't seem to identify the different between 240bpm screaming metal and acoustic slow rock, but we have to live with that.
