Teddy and Armstrong formed a really good partnership up front that season, and Armstrong did well to net 22 in all comps in his first seeason for us to justify his big price tag at the time. We were perhaps a little unlucky not to get Europe that season (think we missed out by a point or two) and the injuries they both had the follwing season was one of the main reasons we struggled and were so crap.
I think I was at that game. Armstrong was underrated and vilified by some of our support, but he could put them away
I agree Armstrong was very underrated, he did score some good goals.
