1980....the winner was Marco Luchinelli, i believe....(0r maybe Randy) KR was 4th, but he grabbed the title. iN 125CC, GUY bErtin, and in 350 Ekerold, beating Mang, who i think won the 250cc. The next 3 years, GP Germany took place in Hockenheim, and in 1984, The new Nurburgring had been built.
1980. That's when Roberts won his third world title in August that year. They started using Hockenheim after that as all the top riders formed their own protest against using some of the more dangerous tracks such as Karlskoga in Sweden and Imatra in Finland.
