I'm Lebanese and i will help you understand what pagers are , they are small devices like walkie talkies specifically designed for Hezbollah members and they are not cellphones, israel hacked the connection and overwhelmed the devices with massive waves beyond their capacities which caused them to heat and explode, while some sources say that the pagers that exploded are the new exchange with explosive features, of old devices and the American university in Lebanon had taken all the pagers devices from it's employees 10 days ago to protect them under the excuse of taking them under maintenance which tells that the US is already informed about this attack happening long time ago , however this information kills all the objections of exchanging old devices with the new ones , because if they wanted to protect their people in first place they wouldn't have given them the pager devices with explosions, and no your device will not be under attack or explode because this will cost big losses to big companies as apple and Samsung and tecno and by that the relation will be personally with israel and these companies, while its possible technically but otherwise it's not possible to happen

One really impressive thing is that Hezbollah is likely paranoid as it is, and would likely have bomb-sniffer dogs check any shipment thats coming in, and certainly if the cargo is going out to senior operatives. That these types of checks did not reveal explosives, likely means that whoever did this, did it with some hereto unknown type of plastic explosive, that cannot be detected by conventional methods (ie dogs, chemical analysis etc)
