First with the screen blank, press and hold the sensor on the left side on the device.
when you feel a vibration and the menu appears you can release the sensor.
On the menu there are two choices for "screen wake" and "notifications"
The screen wake icon should be on to allow the gesture and if the bulb has a strike through it, that means it is disabled.
Tap the screen on the bulb to toggle the setting on or off.
If you prefer not to be disturbed by the screen, especially whilst sleeping you can turn it off.
Alternatively if you are a light sleeper and need to keep an eye on the time then you can enable it.
Sometimes the feature can be accidentally changed in your sleep or by updating the devices firmware, but this is luckily an easy fix to apply.

Lifesaver!! Thank you!! I’ve tried everything!! It didn’t immediately solve my problem because I think I also had the “Do not disturb” turned on. Also my screen on FB Charge 3 looks different, so I just kept tapping the Screen Awake and I finally got the lightbulb thing to show up. I’ve been trying to get it to work for days, It’s working now!!

@@mikesunboxing Me too! I was getting quite frustrated, I take a one hour spin cycle classes and I like to see my heart rate. The watchband snapped off and my Fitbit fell on the floor, so I think that’s how it got reset.

Do you have any hacks for enhancing fading numbers? My screen is almost impossible to see. I tried the reset - nothing. I'd like o try changing the clock style but the rest unpaired Charge3 room app and in resyncing I cannot read the 4 digit code. Wondering if there is a filter or ? that may enhance the numbers

I've had a problem where the charge 3 does not turn on even if I press the side button. I hold the side button for 4/5 seconds and restart it. Not sure what that's about.
Try doing a firmware update or a clock face change from Fitbit app on your phone. Had same issue did both solutions, now screen works again.

Tried this. Fitbit 4 month old . Charged up through night. Black screen, no green light but vibrates constantly when press sides .help please ?
i would contact fitbit support and get a replacement
i tried to bring my screen on per your video but my screen win't time on. it vibrates but no screen
it might have failed, speak to fitbit support they might replace it
Any one got a tutorial on how to get the display brighter?
Mine's set to normal (seemingly the highest value), and it's still too dark, I can't see it if I'm out side
set the brightness to auto that seems to give the best results, especially outdoors as it has a built in ambient sensor
@@mikesunboxing unfortunately, fo me , auto seems make things dimmer , more often than not

you can turn that off in the menu i think, but i'll double check. Although if you turn this off how will you see the screen?

If it was obvious, I wouldn't have made the video! My wife was getting so annoyed with her Fitbit before we knew! So simple but so annoying when you don't know the solution....
